  1. Mayonnaise is always the option with fast food places. Yeah I grab a Whopper or Big Mac once in a while. Miracle whip is not cheap, almost bought the small squeeze tube but the big jar was the same price. Guess they got to get rid of it somehow.

the Tweeter is  the Celestion CDX07-1075  Neo magnet ----klipsch add their  lens /phase plug........  problem is , it's only sold for OEM's with  a  large quantity order

Have a second hand pair of Crites tweets, motor hits the top of the cabinet so I slightly angled the lens install.

May brick wall the K77s if I can find good diaphragms.

Best Mayo is  --------Aldi launches supermarket first with new curry mayo | Express.co.uk

Grew up with Hindu neighbors that used curry so much the smell never left my nose. Rarely will I eat something with even a hint of it.

    Friends like it.

Avocados are nice, more so when they were priced right! Got avocado oil to season the cast iron with and make salad dressing if I've run out of olive. Had carnitas and guac for supper tonight!

Back in the day, my late wife made a great quiche (no jokes...). Took it to a party and one of the wives there loved it and asked for the recipe. A couple weeks later, she told us she made it and it was terreble. My wife asked how she made it and did she follow the recipe...

Well, no, she used Miracle Whip instead of real mayo, and changed up a couple other things.

Mom and sister made quiche, I have high cholesterol and lactose sensitive so no quiche for me.

Last couple times at Kroger my deli cheese had imbedded pieces of other people's cheese choices so avoiding that now as well.

The basic information is this, they don[t offer them as a drop in replacement.

Why? Well, that tweeter and horn were part of a major upgrade to the LS, deemed the LS5. You can get the tweeters, you can put them on, and it will suck.

I only know this from the class in 2019. These are not interchangeable parts. You can't swap these out. Someone like Tn Mike, JWC, Mark 13 can explain it much better than I can, but it was clear from the class that that the horn lens and tweeter combo got rid of a lot of the beaming, you couldn't localize the speakers. All of that is part of an integrated design and a lot of work was done on the crossover to make the tweeter/horn work with the midrange.

That's why they are not offered as a drop in replacement from Klipsch.

Appreciate that, long story short I will rule them out as an option.

Been experimenting with different crossover points.  I'm really liking 120Hz for music.  These THTs work incredibly well with kick drums and bass guitar.  Just crazy output.

They work fairly well to 200 Hz. With the rising response of the cabinet and great sound it's easy to get carried away crossing them over too high.

    Glad you like them.

  8. Not as good as I remembered.

Avoiding deli lines and old packaged meat I bake or grill a big chicken breast or sometimes turkey. Half sandwich on rye bread and handful of chips is my secret weight loss tool.

Thought I'd try a change from the usual Hellmann's and spicy mustard mix. Other stuff goes on too but I like a nice sloppy coat of mess before anything goes on.

Yeah, no. Way sweeter from what I remembered growing up. Probably throwing it out.

Very true,  the furniture grade raw birch ply used on the La Scala has 2 outer very fine grade ply's which similar to veneered plywood you need to be careful not to sand too much to go through these ply's. I am not sure the exact thickness difference between the veneer and outer ply's, both are thin.

Wood veneer over MDF is a fraction of the thickness and easily sanded through.

I have done exactly what you are inquiring about.

Raw birch which was painted black, wanting to revert back to wood finish.

Sorry to say but yes first you MUST remove all drivers.

I used a paint stripper instead of sanding. Choose one that is safe for wood. I used New Generation Super Remover with great results.

Once you have the paint off all you need to do is sand paper by  hand. Start with 100 grit and end with a finish grit like 400 or above.

I dislike polyurethane based stains and finishes so I used Tung-Oil finish which is both protective and looks great. Only problem is you want to clean and re-coat every couple of years to keep protection and appearance up.

Depending on how deep the paint got into the grain you will get a slight exotic look as long as you do not have to aggressively sand to get a nice finish. After applying the oil finish coats (two coats was enough) I got a better appearance vs just plain raw birch. The extent of this is how much the wood has absorbed the black paint.

    Good luck!

Heresy III is veneer skinned not plywood. Veneer is thin, sanding should be kept to a minimum.

nice story Dave.  I had a friend that was a drummer for a Hall of Fame rock band (albeit BEFORE the guitarist formed the HOF band ... come to think of it, this happened to him twice; but not sure if the second guy was a HOF'er).  Anyway, very nice guy. His drum kit was at this pad I used to hang out with and one afternoon I was sitting at the drums and this guy, who I'd never met before, comes in and gives me the "thumb" sign to GET OFF his gear. I did without comment. We soon became friends and one night he says, "Remember the day I met you and kicked you off my drums?  Well, you can play my drum set whenever you want."

Had a HUGE, HUGE wildfire one year and smoke was in the air in our town quite heavily. This dude calls me up and asks me how I was doing because he had a dream that the smoke was making it hard for me to breathe due to my Asthma.  Kind gesture of him to check up on me.

Sadly, I pulled one of my, it's time to move and never look back acts and have lost contact with the guy and literally every other person from that era that I spent ALL of my waking hours with. Probably why I bore you folks with my stories because I can't reminisce with my old partners -- I know where some of them are now; but after all these years, it would be too weird talking to them now. I'm not the social butterfly that I once was and even back then I wasn't a social butterfly.

Funny you guys talking about Ludwig, my aunt Nancy worked for Ludwig before they moved out of Chicago. Lost the tips of her fingers running the press cutting the skins for the drums. No boring stories here. Music's ok too
