  2. I stopped by my local used Music/Record store today and came home with: Vinyl: $1.00 each and they both look like they have never been played. Eric Clapton - Eric Clapton 1970 RSO Records Styx - Cornerstone 1979 A&M Records CD's: Cassandra Wilson Loverly $5.99 and Belly Of The Sun $3.99
  3. It is also weird that Jimmy Two Phones has not come back to his thread. Funny how things work out sometimes. For what it's worth, I do like your avatar much better than Jimmy's! [] Dennie
  4. Congratulations on the New (to you) LS II's! It is very cool to impress the kids and a great choice of demo songs. It's all about the music! [Y] Dennie
  5. I love these Threads! [] Different Strokes for Different Folks! [Y] Dennie
  6. I can't comment on the speakers, but my SVS 20-39 PC+ fills in the bottom end nicely with my La Scala's. I highly recommend a 12" sub over the 10", especially if you want to "Feel the Bass"! I hope you stick around and keep us posted on your purchase(s)! Dennie[]
  7. That should do it ! How much is admission going to be, and is it by appointment only ? Oh, admission will be very reasonable. Probably no more than $10,000 for a weekend stay! [] But you get to hold the remote! [^o)] I'll be taking reservations very sooooon. Please, no pushing and shoving, just make one single file line!
  8. Okay, that is just insane! I ordered Two! [] [] Thanks for sharing the Link! Dennie

  12. Have you contacted Bob Crites? Here is a link to his site---------> LINKY I'm not sure he has what you need, but he probably know where to get it. Dennie
  13. Records are more fun to listen to than to look at. Just my opinion... I completely agree! If it is already opened, then play away. If it is sealed, that may be a different story. Sealed records can hold greater value IF it is an album someone is looking for. But, it may have more worth to you for listening pleasure. Great find on the records. I stay away from 45's, because I do not have a record changer and I am not getting up every 4 minutes to change records. I do have a box of 45's that I have not looked at in a few years, but they will probably just stay in the box. Dennie
  14. Here's the Link------------> Academy Walnut $450 (opens in new window) It is in Auburn, California. FWIW Dennie
  15. I just saw a Academy on Sacramento, CA Craigslist. I'll go find the link. Dennie
  16. I did find this........... This was made by one of our fine forum members! It is lacking a lot of info to be called "plans", but you have to admit, it is VERY COOL! Dennie
  17. Hey Chopin, Welcome to the forum and we are glad you are here. Wow, that is a big undertaking! I recommend doing a search on "La Scala Plans" and see what you find. So, you're planning on building a pair of La Scala's? I have seen a few pairs of La Scalas's my local Craigslist, may save you some time and money. But I do understand the Do It Yourself thing. Good Luck! Dennie
  18. Thanks Richard, Good Jazz can be hard to find! Dennie
  19. Hey GM, you and your wife will be in my Prayers! Dennie
  20. Awe Dennie. You're not supposed to tell the "new guys" we plan on using them as scapegoats.... Oops! My Bad! [:$] Dennie[:#]
  21. That was a great score Adac! Welcome to the world of Klipsch and the Klipsch forum. We're glad you're here and stick around, we always need a "new guy" to blame things on!!! [] LOL Dennie
  22. Ditto! Me thinks the other person did not read the whole thread! .....and I am still of the thinking, that until I buy something off of Joe, we don't allow him to even think about leaving! [] Dennie
  23. Don't fall for "other" speaker PORN! Look away from those "other" speakers! Stare into the HORNS.......Keep Looking at the HORNS.......... Thats better......................Look into the HORNS....... Is everyone OK? If Not..........More Horns........
  24. Hey Andrew, I agree 100%! I just replaced the crossovers in my 1979 La Scala's with Bob Crite's(B&K Sound)Type AA/A convertible crossovers. Why didn't I do it sooner? I just thought there is NO WAY these beautiful speakers could sound any better! Boy, was I wrong. It was like someone took a blanket off my speakers and I was hearing them for the first time. WOW! Great recommendation on updating/replacing the crossovers. After 15 years, they just may not be what the used to be and it is relatively inexpensive as far as upgrades go. Dennie
