  1. I know It's obsolete and I should be looking else where for a NEW receiver but, it is such a HUGE upgrade over what I currently have. I think I'm going for it. I'll sell my current receiver to off-set the cost.
  2. This afternoon. I promise.
  3. Well I wanted a receiver with pre-outs(mine doesn't have them) and I thought it would be a worthy upgrade with the THX certification and all. As far as HDMI goes, I really don't care for the switching. Most HDTV's have multiple HDMI inputs. I would hook any components with HDMI directly to the TV anyways.
  4. I appreciate that as I was a little weary as well but, it worked out in the end.[]
  5. I was just flipping through some sales on the gon and wasn't looking to buy anything until I noticed this. http://www.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/cls.pl?miscrcvr&1245717180&/Pioneer-vsx-1014tx-Ex-conditio Well guys I have I been bitten or what?
  6. Thanks for the congrats guys. Yes, they are! Their expensive too.
  7. My new Outlaw Audio LFM-2 subwoofer arrived today in immaculate condition. Seller did a great job of packing with lots of bubble rap, newspaper, and padding. It came with everything (manual, black cloth cover, carpet spikes, and wood floor spikes) as if I bought it new. So far I am very impressed with it's performance. It didn't alter the sound of my set-up one bit. It just simply seemed to extend the overall frequency of my system. Very articulate sounding with the right kind of punch. This sub rocks!
  8. Your post went through just fine. It said that to me as well but, mine is still there.
  9. My Pioneer receiver's test tone reads (-18) on the display. If I actually listened to anything at that level (which is EXTREMELY loud) I would be deaf!
  10. I use the Digital Rat Shack meter and the test tone from my receiver and I just like to set all speakers to 80db so it sounds as balanced as possible.
  11. Which one of the above readings do most of you here on the forums use to balance your hometheater system? I know 75db is the standard but, I think 80db gives me more flexibility. What do you guys think?
  12. Oh yeah! The weather is just beautiful here in Tennessee. JC
  13. I totally agree![Y] I'm pretty sure you'll notice quite an improvement if you follow wuzzer's advice. JC
  14. Wow! I can't believe that those really exist. Money vac indeed.
  15. The space constraint issue is understandable but, if it was me and down the road I knew I was going to get Reference. I would probably hang onto that Rotel amp for sure. That's a nice piece of hardware you got there.
  16. It's coming along quite nicely. I too am curious as to your mounting method. My C2 is nothing in comparison(performance, weight, size) but trying to find a pre-fab shelf was harder than I thought.
  17. Don't think I didn't notice that comment.LOL That was pretty good.[Y]
  18. Thanks man! I have heard nothing but good about Outlaw Audio. I think I'm in for a treat.
  19. We'll it may not be what you want to hear but, you could always look into buying some Klipsch outdoor speakers.[]
  20. SOLD! Worked out a pretty good deal with the guy and he will ship it as soon as possible. Can't wait to get it and hear how it sounds with my set-up.Thanks for helping me out guys. I really appreciate it.
  21. Okay so I called the guy and asked him about his subwoofer and asked if he would be willing to ship it. Turns out he is a really cool guy and is willing to ship it all the way down to Nashville,TN. AWESOME!!! [] I'll know more when he calls me back after work.
  22. Thanks for the link. I emailed him and I hope he replies. I would pay over night shipping for that price.
  23. I just noticed that. No it is not me so, we'll see where the sale goes.
  24. Hey there is a listing on AudiogoN for a HSU STF-1. I've read online that it's basically the LFM-2's brother. So what do you guys think? http://www.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/cls.pl?homesubw&1245356019&/HSU-STF-1- JC
