  1. LMAO. Peyton is Da MAn!!IIII We all could of told ya that up here in Indiana! LOL! Go Colts! You guys must feed them right as their growing up down there![]
  2. I think you're reaching a bit now. If the two players that hit Favre on that play had wanted to "take out his legs", his legs would have been broken at the end of that play. You can count on it. Well have we gotten the xray results back yet? But I will say this. Brett Farve is one tough dude. He doesn't have all those consecutive starts for all those years because he cant take a hit. Brett is the one out front blocking for his running backs. Hes the one diving into the pile to get the loose ball. Had Tom Brady been hit like that he would of been out another full year. As far as the one game suspension remark you know I'm a Colts fan right? []
  3. Would you like a little bread and cheese to go with your whine? C'mon now, the defenders are supposed to go after the QB. The fact that they got to him says only one thing - the Viking's offensive line didn't block them. Pour me a glass. It was a cheap shot and it looks like they will finally get it right. I have no problem with a quarterback getting sacked and if the line doesnt protect and if he just stands in there who knows what can happen. But we both know the play I'm talking about with the one defender up high and then the other coming in and taking out his legs. Its the guy who took out his legs that should be in trouble. It actually should be more than a fine that was with intent to take out his legs. One game suspension sounds fair.
  4. I cant imagine the commissioner not sending out a healthy fine to the defensive player for the hit below the knees. I still think it will happen. Yesterday the NFL VP of Officiating stated that the game officials missed some penalty calls for hitting the QB's by both the Saints AND the Colts. (From PFT.com) So it's still possible that fines may be forthcoming. "Pereira admits missed calls in championship games" "Vikings quarterback Brett Favre and Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez both took hits during Sunday's conference championship games that should have resulted in penalties but were not flagged, NFL V.P. of officiating Mike Pereira says." "They're missed calls," Pereira said during his "Official Review" segment on NFL Total Access. "On a Favre interception against the Saints, Remi Ayodele hit Favre high while Bobby McCray hit him low, and Pereira said McCray should have been flagged for getting Favre in the lower leg." "It is the kind of hit that we want called because, clearly, we're trying to protect the knees," Pereira said. "Pereira also said Colts defensive back Melvin Bullitt should have been flagged for drilling Sanchez well after Sanchez had handed the ball off." "Jets coach Rex Ryan referred to Bullitt's hit as a "cheap shot," while Clark Judge of CBS Sports has referred to the failure to flag McCray as the game's "low moment." It probably isn't much consolation to Jets and Vikings fans now, but Pereira admits the flags should have been thrown." Thankyou. I knew it was a missed call and a bad hit. It does happen all the time and it should be called. It doesn't matter to me if its the team I'm rooting for or not a late hit or a dirty hit and a no call or no fine is just not right. Looks like they are going to make it right. That low hit did hurt Farves ankle and I believe it did play a role in the outcome of the game. But the 6 fumbles 3 lost and the idiotic 12 men in the huddle with 19 seconds left in regulation played a bigger role to me than the interception. What it did was put a hurt quarterback in desperation mode. I dont care who would of been at quarterback that was a disaster waiting to happen. One thing this will do. It will force the refs to be even more cautious in the Superbowl. Good luck to both teams for a safe and good game. Go Colts!
  5. Well hopefully your ears are better than your eyes. Thats a cheap shot no matter who the teams are. But hey I'm just a dumb spectator dont let me get you all worked up.
  6. Yes I would of liked to see Farve in the Superbowl. But I would of been more worried for my own team. By the way my big boy pants are on and I have no problem dealing with it. As far as no word of it, ESPN had alot to say about it after the game and wondered how that call was missed when if you touch a quarteback below the knees its a flag and usually a fine (Tom Brady rule). Hey whats done is done. Basically within two weeks the Saints have done a good job of taking out two of the best quarterbacks both old timers by the way. More power to them. Hope the Colts dish out some leg breaking! Go Colts!
  7. Hey I didnt make the new rule about hitting quarterbacks low that was Tom Brady.
  8. Now your talking. Then again maybe both teams go crazy and take out the opposing quarterbacks. If that were to happen the Saints would win by 30.
  9. I dont remember anyone saying Cornwalls couldn't be powered and sound ok with high powered amps. We just said they couldn't be played at high volumes with high or low powered amps. And I dont considered 80 dbs loud. At 110 dbs these things will cut your head off with that squawker. And the bass will begin to rumble with zero control. They make for an excellent Jazz speaker maybe one of the best just what you were using them for. Put some metal to them and crack the throttle on those amps and report back. Sorry Ace not trying to get your beauties blown up. But with the quality of gear that Tigerwood has it would be impossible to hurt anything. Some Klipsch speakers remain smooth and well controlled and some others go crazy. I believe there were different design goals in mind with the different models. But then again this is all just my opinion so take it for what its worth.
  10. I cant imagine the commissioner not sending out a healthy fine to the defensive player for the hit below the knees. I still think it will happen. But I guess you just have your players hit the quarterback whether he has the ball or not and take the penalties. Cause it wont be long and he wont be able to continue.
  11. I'm in the opinion if they hadn't blundered with the 12 man screw up from the sideline they would of just ran another up the middle for maybe a yard or two and kicked the field goal taking any risk out of the equation. But obviously the coaching crew got dumb founded in the last 19 seconds. But it still didnt erase the OT which had nothing to do with the Vikes offense. It took some calls going the way of the Saints cause what did they have a total of 24 yards offense in the fourth quarter?
  12. You and I didn't watch the same game.
  13. It's hard not to be excited for the Saints. It's a long time coming. Congrats!
  14. Jets had the number 1 pass and rush defenses in the NFL. Colts put up 30 on them so that prediction is kind of out there but hey everyone is entitled to a guess.
  15. Doesn't anyone watch the post game on ESPN. That is where all the action is.
  16. He was at the podium in the post game press conference. He answered every question they threw at him. He looked and sounded beat up and from the game I saw he got his butt kicked for nearly 60 minutes. Not a big Fox fan they will just have to get over it.
  17. Well you will see the Brett haters showing up all over the place. 6 fumbles from his teamates 3 of them lost especially with 1 of them on your on 6 yard line in noway helps the cause. Brett moved the ball all over and the low tackle to his ankles was BS. The 12 men in the huddle was the coaches fault which put Brett into panic mode again and he thought he needed alot more than he actually did. All he had to do was run ahead 5-10 yards in open field and its a field goal and a win. He will get stuck with that last second interception of regulation and it will stick just like that OT interception with Green Bay against the Giants. It's really to bad but the guy tries just a little too hard. Vikings played a great game but they didnt protect their quarterback. Just retire Brett and save yourself from the torture. You had a great career.
  18. Playing some real dirty football if you ask me.
  19. Tiger, Jay is truly a nice guy, I never gotten drunk with him (he doesn't drink) but I have had lunch with him (not that he would remember, he knows my face not my name). What you see on TV is what Jay is. He's fair and honest. I'm not sure Jay had much to say about it, other than yes or no. Jay likes to work so he took what they offered. I think that was really all there was to the whole thing. P.S and he really means it). Thanx, Russ And you got all that from lunch with him? Sounds like you've been close friends for years. Hell, I don't know that much about my brother(as in able to read his mind). Carson was good and Letterman use to be good which pretty much sums up late night. IMHO of course.
