  1. Jim, You are quite right. I do have a very nice set up already. I am just excited by the prospect of maybe, after all these years, finding something that I would consider an upgrade.... Not that I haven't been happy with these for the past 20+ years....I used to ride my bike to the high end store near my home when I was a kid (60's) to drool over K-horns. I am the definition od "brand loyal". A moot point anyway....I can't afford 15-18 G's for the Jubilee's....Fun to dream though.....
  2. Tom, Congrats....You'll be happy with that pre-amp. A week off to kick back and listen to tunes....right on...Post a pic of your set up when you get it...Who did you deal with at Audio Classics?
  3. Charles, Why do you need a switch for headphones?
  4. Let's see how well this flies: Post a link to your favorite audio site (or 2)... Here's one of mine....(click on link in next post) This message has been edited by MacKlipsch on 06-07-2001 at 05:56 PM
  5. I agree...and ask about the Jubilee's while you're there
  6. http://www.belgaudio.com/kcmap.htmHope this comes out as a link, if not you'll have to cut and paste the address
  7. Q-man, Are the center walls going to be full size or pony walls? In a surround system the center channel is not set 6db below the corners right? I'm a 2 channel guy and use mine that way.
  8. Mr. Blorry, I got the limited edition 24 ct gold Tricycle disc. Nice recording but seemed to be recorded at too low a level. Have to crank it up past 1'oclock to really make the horns sing. On most recordings 1'oclock will put you acress the street. Bad pressing?
  9. Mx-113.......naahhh...preamp tuner combo...not great at either...but for $300, hell I spend that on cd's alot of weeks. By the way...anyone know of a "Cd enders" group here in Seattle? ....
  10. Dear Klipsch Braintrust, I realize that I'm getting ahead of myself here, but nonetheless, what will I use for a center channel when I mortgage the house and get my set of Jubilees? Have always had a center Belle with my K-horns and really need it to fill in my long wall. I guess I could back to back the K-horns. What do I do with the Belle. Someone help me out....I'm tweaking here....lol
  11. Al has a C-34..my mistake....I believe the C-35 is similar, just with less loops and the monitor amp....
  12. Besides, for $570 how can you go wrong. Be careful with those e-bay guys...
  13. Charles, You'll like it fine. I've not owned any, but have listened to many of other folks. Al Klappenberger has one and loves it. Good enough for Al, good enough for Charles...:biggrin

  15. Tom, That C-40 went for $1225. Was that you that got it?
  16. I've tried using the variable output on my Denon 1650AR, and didn't notice a huge difference. Probably depends on your setup. I would need to build a new box for my center channel if I wanted to go this way. Besides, I don't want to get off my butt to change the volume.
  17. Tom, For your $1500 budget, you can pick up something in their 30 series (C-32, C-34 etc.) and come pretty damn close to a C-40.
  18. Colin, Do you know if the 2 Traveling Wilburys are OOP? I looked for them on CD Now, bur didn't come up with anything. I already have them, but was looking for a friend. Guess I'll burn them for him. Anyone want them, while I'm at it? Just send the postage back to me when you get them. E-mail me if interested.
  19. Tom, The prices quoted on the website are negotable. They will cut you a better deal. I have dealt with Ryan, but am sure all will treat you right. I have bought 3 Mac pieces from them and have been very pleased. Believe me, I was very nervous about buying sight unseen, but was pleasantly surprised. Good luck....
  20. Bruce Springsteen was not in the Traveling Wilburys. Roy Oribson, Bob Dylan, Jeff Lynne, Tom Petty, George Harrison...no Boss....
