The 21" width is the minimum for the 15" Dayton RSS390HF-4 driver i like.
18" wide version can use the 12" Dayton RSS315HF-4, Eminence Lab 12" or Lab 15"
Frequency response and output wise the Lab 15 is the way to go in the 18" wide version.
Sorry... didn't see you had replied. So the 15" Dayton is a bit cheaper... is that why you like it better than the Lab 15" or do you have other reasons? Pretty equal over all?
I couldn't find any concrete comparisons on the differences on the widths.

Maybe I could finally get a room with corners... build my music room(s) and then a house to go around it..

My 18x21x72" THTLP is flat to 18 Hz (-3 db) in larger size room.
Experiment with the crossover & placement if you have the option, its worth the time.
Both are DIY or find a builder style cabinets.
Curious - Would going with an 18 x 18 x 72 make much difference or is the extra few inches on width worth it to help keep it flat?

You'd have to pay a lot more to get mine away from me! Looks nice! GLWS

I think also you need to be more specific than "bias is out of whack" and "all over the place." You probably know it varies as it warms up and you don't check while playing music through it. A 15 minute warm up isn't warmed up quite yet in my experience. 30 minutes later I could almost promise it will measure different
I wouldn't leave it unattended while turned on.

The Louis Armstrong record sounds marvy. I'll get an mp3 of it up as well in the next few days.

Cliff hangers just pi$$ me off! Good writing doesn't require it... this still leaves me wondering what is next! There is still some story that can be told.
These are some great characters!

It's all about simplicity. One less button to push or wire to plug in is worth a lot to some people.

This is a nice DAC at a great price! If you always wanted to try a tube DAC here it is...

Yeah, so anyway... Yes, they are worth replacing. I've been through 3 sets of Heritage speakers (over 40 years old) with original caps and all benefited from replacement. I would add that it is probably a good idea to spend some time listening to the originals so you can hear what you are comparing. Best of luck, whatever you decide.

Gee Whiz!
Don't tell me what I should pay or not. I buy, I try, if I like, I share with others here. The cost doesn't always relate to how much improvement I experience. I've done really cheap things that had huge improvements and spent tons for little to no improvement. Don't discourage people from sharing their experiences here.

You are lucky nobody jumped on this before you came to your senses!
It was nice of you to price it so low for the forum folks but put it in rotation with your other equipment and enjoy!
