Amps to get hot but shouldnt buzzz. I left my Pros on Blasting, in a hot Warehouse about a month ago.. The back of the Sub almost burnt my hand when I touched it. But there was not buzzing. "never heard of them" Almost ALL the time And if I bring up, B&W or Paradigm... even the people that have heard of Klipsch ar "huh? who are they?" How would the amp in the Pro's compare to my grandfathers Yamaha Natural Sound A500 amp? It is a stereo amp, not sure how many watts it puts out.. maby 60 a channel.. realy dont know.. As I said in my previous post I may be getting another set of Pro Medias (v2-400's to be exact). And I was thinking about taking apart the sub, and adding my 2 12" Fisher woofers. They are not "subwoofers" just woofers, but play Bass Quite well. This way I would get 4 times the bass no? I may be getting a second set of pro's, someone on this board emailed me saying he would sell me his.. I was thinking about taking them apart, and replacing All the wires that can be replaced with like 18-16 gauge wires. And getting better Jacks, and wires to my speakers. Not exaclty a CHEAP amp. But a Mondial with few features, easy to use, and made to work with the Quintets. I personaly think Klipsch would make a killing, and would Give alot of people good speakers. Seems to me Having a Couple HGS 18's in the house, playing something with alot of bass down to like 15 hz would kill you......... But those few minutes before you die, would be Heaven for a few people in here that love the bass. You may try playing with your Computer's volume, turning it down and such. But... That hiss is normal. Every Pro Media does that. Not sure about the 5.1's but the 4.1's v2-400 and the 2.1 's do. sorry about that. One thing that may help, did with me, is keep the speakers farther away from you, and dont have the Tweeter pointing directly at you. Which is why Klipsch needs to add a cheap amp to the Quintets, and put them in stores like Best buy and Circut City. Bout the same size as the BOSE, and sounds alot better. Today we went to this Audio Video store near Hill Crest Hi fi.... And they have Bose, Bose Lifestyles setup with theyer systems. They have a couple MK setups, a McIntosh setup, a Definative setup, and a couple others. Almost ALL with Bose (ice)Cube(trays) I started talking to this one guy, and I asked him why they sold bose, WHY they had bose in the place. HIs imediate answer, no hisitation "It makes us money" That was great, I was blown away, even though I knew that was the reason. He was like, "As long as I dont have to use them....". It was great... I heard 2 of these bad ***'s today... The 10 inch and the 15 inch. The 10 blew away just about any other sub around. Compared it to the KSW-10 HAHAHAHA should have saved the KSW the embarrasment.... As for the 15...... WOW!!! MY MOTHER MONKEE FREAKIN GOD!!!! Simply the best damn subwoofer EVER... untile I hear the 18 inch version.... <big grin> This thing ROCKED majorly. Simply the best. And any one that owns one... I envy you, I am soooo jelous. I checked out the site when I got home www.velodyne.com Looked at the specs on these speakers. Dual 3" (3 inch i think) voice coils. 1250 continious wattage 3000 peak I played this THX Ultimant BAss test I downloaded, It was cranked up, the walls, everything in the room was shaking and raddling... it was great.. You could SOO feel it, and the sub never came close to distorting, it was just a ride in the park on a suny sunday afternoon. one more time.. Man do I got the Sub for you... I was at Hillcrest today, and listened to a 15 and 10 inch Veladyne Subwoofers. As the guy I was talking to said.. when I asked how the KSW-15 or the new 15 inch Rference Sub would compare to the Veladyne's , "It would eat theyer lunch" And is was SOOOO right. That 10 hit harder than any other sub I have ever heard.., and the fifteen!!!! MY GOD!!!! The 10 will run you 1500 new And the 15 I think is about 3000 new.. If you got the money, just order it.. No need to try it out.
