  1. What is your budget? Have you thought of looking used? Are you dead set on these 2 subs?
  2. I gotta agree here. Plus, the one on A-gon is "obo". Offer the guy $250, what's the worst he could say?
  3. Where can I purchase all the other sizes of ear tips? I think I might need the smallest ones, and the 4's didn't come with them. I tried the Klipsch website, but they just re-direct you to Auth. Dealers, none of which carry just the tips.
  4. But, your shed will sound AMAZING!!![]
  5. Fantastic price. Cheaper than the 9.8's on A-gon. Get it. Should go nicely w/ your UPA.
  6. Very nice unit. It would absolutely drive your 20's. The 130 watts/7 channels is probably a little inflated, but that is expected. Many Forum members swear by their Yammy gear. You could do a lot worse. Also, $670 is a great price for it new. A grand is the going rate for NIB. Even as a demo unit, $670 is a pretty darn good price. The unit also has pre-outs which give the option of adding an amp down the line. Let us know what you decide! Jrod

$550 is a good deal. If in good condition, anything under is a very good deal. I bet if you offered $550 you could get them...and a good deal. I've NEVER seen a pair under $500. They are too new.
  8. Nice little room you got shaping up there, Smoke. Are those DIY'ers? They look really good!
  9. +1 on Bill's choices... And a couple more: Killers-Live From Royal Albert Hall; Kings of Leon-Live at the O2; MJ-This Is It. Dave and Tim is still my favorite, too. Visually and aurally stunning.
  10. Thanks Dennie! If by "thinker" you mean EXTREMELY mischievous... then yes, she's a thinker!!
  11. Don't know anything about the NAD, except that they make really nice stuff. Does it have HDMI? Couldn't tell from the pic of the back. Hear nothing but great things about that 9.8, actually heard it in Indy at the Klipsch HQ theater room. It sounded amazing, but it was paired w/ a monster Aragon amp and they were playing Palladiums... so, it would be tough for it not to sound amazing. Is the UMC-1 too obvious? You trying to stay away from Emo stuff? There were a couple on Agon the other day for ~$525... pretty good price.
  12. This is my basset, Augustine.
  13. For any Apple lovers, this little machine is an absolute must. Got it home today, hooked it up (about 3-4 minutes, easily the quickest A/V equiptment set-up in history), and now I'm streaming all my music, photos, TV shows (via Airplay), and movies (via Airplay). The sound quality is pretty darn good, and a substantial upgrade from my 3.5mm--->RCA cable I was using for ipod listening. I can control my itunes library from my iphone and/or ipad, from anywhere in the house (an a decent distance outside the house, which will be nice for those warm summer evening bbq's). The knocks against it are that it has a very limited selection of TV shows to stream, this doesn't bother me, I don't watch that much TV. I do all of my streaming from Netflix through the PS3. At $99 it may be the cheapest Apple product you could ever buy!!
  14. ...I think he's got it.
  15. Skule, I listen to those 39's in Indianapolis (Klipsch HQ). They were very nice to look at... BUT ever better to hear. So powerful. I can only imagine what the entire set-up sounds like. Great looking room, and great looking pup! Well done, my man. Well done. Jrod
  16. Love those 7's. Your 62 looks terrified!!!
  17. 58-inch, and the S1 has a great picture, better than the newer S2. Free shipping from 6th Ave. http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-VIERA-TC-P58S1-58-Inch-Plasma/dp/B002IKA1S6/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1295959518&sr=8-10 The vt-25's have VERY good pictures, but for that budget you will be limited to a 50-inch. I personally would go w/ the larger screen, my eyes can't tell that much of a difference b/w the S1 and the VT-25.... but, they can easily tell the difference b/w a 50-inch and a 58-inch. IMHO, plasma is still the way to go. The cost/benefit ratio still far exceeds LEDs. Unless, of course, you are looking at projectors... That's a whole other ballgame.
  18. +1!!! It's jaw-dropping for people that haven't heard my system before... Heck, sometimes it's still jaw-dropping for me!
  19. Corn, No problem, my man! There are so many models that it's easy to read them wrong sometimes! The RW series are nice subs, and can be had for great deals. One thing about the RT's that is so great is the performance/footprint ratio is pretty high IMO. The corner design really allows you to save some space in your overall set up. That is, of course, it you have an open corner!
  20. RT-12d is WAAAAY different than the RW-12d. I would imagine you could get the RT-12d for around a grand, used. That is IF you can find one. The RT series seam pretty hard to come by used. I love my 10 (I got it for a steal...) but, I would look into SVS, HSU, or a nice used Velodyne if you aren't dead set on Klipsch.
  21. BE36, After I got everything dialed in, it sounds pretty darn good.Took quite a bit out tweeking, but turned out alright! I'm sure, like you, another LS is my end game. Just no room for it right now. My next home WILL have a dedicated room, and at that point I will go with 3 LS up front and 4 Heresy's around...and a projector, of course!
  22. +1!!!! You want to impress someone, have them bring over THEIR favorite music. My boss was over at the house the other night. He had his iPad with him, I just let him go at it for about an hour... ear to ear grins. And, a lot of "I've listen to this song a hundred times and I've never heard THAT..." He's trying to figure out a way to get some La Scalas in his house now.[]
  23. I'm starting a small Klipsch headphone collection! The old lady jumped on her New Year's Res. before I could, started working out last week. I went to get my S2's back from her yesterday and she said absolutely NOT. They were now HERS!! I was shocked/awed/pissed/proud for about 2.3 seconds... and then realized this meant I had a green light!! So, long story short...new S4's for me! My two questions are this: 1) I've read horror stories about the cabling on the S4's, and I have the ones with the "L" plug, not the newer straight in plug. Should I bee concerned? 2) Is there any truth to this "burn-in" thing? I've read a little about it here and there, do I need to do it??? Thanks in advance for the help.
  24. Congrats G! Always nice to find some deals. Enjoy your new set-up! We've all felt that exact same excitement you are feeling, it's really nice, enjoy it!
