  1. Where do these number come from? I don't see anything similar in the reported stats. https://www.aarp.org/caregiving/health/info-2020/coronavirus-nursing-home-cases-deaths.html Mike NY probably needs to be NYC. Here is one source: https://freopp.org/the-covid-19-nursing-home-crisis-by-the-numbers-3a47433c3f70 Bunch of other stuff out there. Of course, these would be preliminary. We have to wait and see what games are played with the numbers and reassessment. Bottom line is since the beginning it was known the elderly were most at risk and obviously the world had a brain fade.
  2. Bad part is that when you look at the CDC, NIH, and WHO, it reinforces the narrative. Maybe we overcompensated, like a new driver in a skid in snow, cut across the road into a ditch. It is starting to look that way. Worse is some governors are enjoying the power. Hind sight is we could have done the social distancing and masks since the beginning.... Not sure what NY would have done though with the subways. Not so hind sight, we knew old folks were most vulnerable but you have these stats. Nursing home fatality percentages. NY ~20% NJ ~40% PA ~55%
  3. Right with this quality of testing, do I want to be on the short list for a vaccine also? It's probably better to go to Walmart and not social distance or wear a mask.
  4. Stop the flights into the US. This "check their temperature" probably doesn't catch anyone and if it does, probably is self quarantine - sure....
  5. Interesting perspective: https://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2020/05/21/how_fear_groupthink_drove_unnecessary_global_lockdowns_143253.html
  6. Throw everything against the wall. Something better stick for our sake. Either that or don you riot gear and brave the new world/norm. Make sure you are taking 12 vitamins a day and don't have diabetes or hypertension. I think a lot of the age related deaths are not from people in good physical heath though ones that have these other underlying diseases that creep in as you age. Also, how many older folks used to be smokers?
  7. Have to wonder what they will do and what is going to happen to the school system.
  8. They died from COVID.... COVID induced. Check the box.
  9. California doctors say they have seen 'a years worth of suicides' in the last month because of the impact lockdown is having on mental health Trauma doctors and nurses at John Muir Medical Center in California say they have seen a year's worth of suicide attempts in just a matter of weeks Dr Mike deBoisblanc and nurse Kacey Hansen say lockdown needs to be lifted Medics are witnessing a huge amount 'intentional injury' brought on by stress Isolation and job losses are leading to higher number of suicide attempts
  10. And most large cabinets can benefit from it.
  11. Would that be Forte I Oiled Oak?
  12. Up to 3.6%? I wonder what they are really looking at and their models. I don't like ending an article with the following so why bother? Dr. Basu said as of right now, among the cases who fall sick, we are only reporting about 25%, which means there is a lot of data still missing. That's what they are trying to track with this study to help our leaders make informed decisions for public health.
  13. You are right there. Damned if we do, damned if we don't.
  14. Yes, as typical, the govt making all the right moves. 😵
  15. Good thing you aren't seeing Trillions go out like in the US. And for what?
  16. A mess at the start and a mess currently. Too bad you can't trust anything that has to do with money. As you said, take care of yourself because nobody else is going to.
  17. You almost wonder if $250 is too much to deal with NY Parking and COVID.
  18. Two watched states, TX and FL. 16 and 4 deaths respectively. Let's see if these get revised up in the next couple of days. Considering they opening up, significantly, we should see a dismal June. I wish the case count mattered.
  19. He's driving the media and the narrative unfortunately. Maybe that is reducing now.
  20. Fear, uncertainty, and doubt. About fits. https://www.google.com/search?q=fud&oq=fud&aqs=chrome.0.69i59j46j0l4j46.655j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
  21. Yes, you don't have to dig far into that paper to understand where it is going and what the motivator. Also to start off stating "observational study" makes it hold less water than the actual troops on the ground doing the work and stating their observations. As I said earlier, a bunch of small bullets is better than none since we can't find the one silver bullet.
  22. Depending on what I end up parting with and what goes first, I also have a set of KLF30s, RP160Ms that can be paired with R115sws, and some home builts with Faital Pro high end horns and dual 13" Focal woofers. So I have a bunch of stuff still hanging around depending on what I want to do.
  23. At this point, the RB5s with subs can go and my home builts if the price is right. I'd have to get a couple of grand out of them. Nobody wants homemade though.
