I do not know what happened the last time I posted this but here we go again. I think we should have gave them a shot with the Emotiva sub, I think that would have been a much fuller sound. I sure would have been great to hear them with tubes though.

First and foremost I would like to thank Mike for his hospitality and open invitation. I wish I could have stayed MUCH, MUCH longer, but unfortunately I had a commitment to Chris to get him back to his automobile, back at my work place. Those Sam Adams were going down oh so good and the music was starting to get tuned in. I think hooking up Matt's Emotiva sub with the pro Cornwalls really made the sound come alive. One thing I should say is we needed a few more, how can I say this, maturing adults. Oh well, I guess I am young at heart anyway. Great meeting everyone, had a very good time, let's do it again soon. Easy solution, but I know you do not want to hear it, put a sub in a corner closest to your listening position. You will be amazed at the results.

I too believe it might be the amp. You can get a good equalizer, that should help. I good subwoofer set up properly does not give too much UMPH! If a sub is set up properly you do not even notice it's presence unless you were to shut it off. Most subs that sound UMPHY are either cheap or set up with the volume too high. I see your dilema, they will get back you original shipping charge but not the return. I guess what oldtimer said to go through your credit card co, might be the best way to handle it. I have done several transactions on ebay and only had one bad experiance. Did plenty of communications with the seller and eventually he agreed to give me a full refund and split the return shipping with me. Good luck maybe you can get it worked out. I try to do more on Craigslist then ebay.

If not then make sure you use Pay Pal the next time you buy on Ebay. It is free and they will help out with this type of situation.
