  1. Between the ST and GT, the price is only $300. And it seems like both models are not in stores here in Orlando, weird.
  2. I plan on going full on projector as well. But this unit I buy now will be for everyday use, and keep the projector for movie use. BTW, I think a 73 DLP would be awesome!
  3. that's how mine is as well. The specs say 120hz, but on the box its called Clear Motion Rate of 240. What a joke. Thats like saying this engine is rated at 100hp, but it really feels like 150hp. Where is the bs button when you need one??!!
  4. Thanks bud! I see they rate the 6500 (#5) higher then the 8000. I wonder how the 3d is on that unit. I will have to look into that.
  5. whew!! Thank god! I thought I was the only one that thought 120hz looked fake. I will never own one! Plasma fr life for me! I've been looking at Panasonic plasmas for a second tv lately. Wow someone who agrees or I guess will admit they agree! I guess growing up around tubes and going to theatres, I love the warm look, not the sterile look of today's LED's. When we got the unit home, and went through the auto settings, my dad loved the dynamic setting the best! To me it was the movie mode that was the best preset mode. I will play around some more with it, try to do some calibration.
  6. Wuzzer, I see you have a sharp TV I was looking at in the best buy store. Any thoughts/comments on it?
  7. To me the picture seems fake, it seems...I guess I would call it digital? Also the blacks are not very black, alot of "flashlight" happening. On the 120hz, I sometimes get picture blur when things are moving fast across the screen.
  8. So a few days ago, my wife and I went walking into best buy to look for a gift for a family member. In the front there was a stack of unsold TV's from the black Friday rush. As we are looking at the 60 inch LED's, our fav salesman comes up pushing a 65" Samsung LED! http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Samsung+-+65%26%2334%3B+Class+(64-1/2%26%2334%3B+Diag.)+-+LED+-+1080p+-+120Hz+-+HDTV/4854319.p?id=1218552486991&skuId=4854319 For $1499.00 it was a great deal we thought! Got it home and well it is nice, but its not what I was hoping for as far as refresh rate (120hz) and isn't 3D capable (I don't need it but if I am going to spend the money..). So went back in today and saw an awesome plasma that just caught my eye! http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Samsung+-+64%26%2334%3B+Class+-+Plasma+-+1080p+-+600Hz+-+Smart+-+3D+-+HDTV/4912252.p?id=1218577565150&skuId=4912252 So for an extra $1500 I can get a TV I know I will love for a while (until I do the projector!). My question is I guess, LED or Plasma? I do not want to spend the extra money, but the way I see it why buy something I wont be happy with in a year or two.
  9. Yes maple. Local(to me) forum brother Kimba(rennoc442) has a maple RSW-15 and is actively seeking a grill for it. Bill Its actually blonde ash, very light in color and to me is not as beautiful as Youths (you are holding out on me Mike!) RSW! I have been meaning to get over to Jeff's place to have him help me re-veneer it to match my Mahogany KLF-30's, never enough time.
  10. BTW Jeff, sorry about your loss of items in your storage. Makes one madder then all get out.
  11. On the klipsch fb site, there is a post asking about your favorite discontinued klipsch product. A lot of people posted they missed the heresy, La Scalla, and the Khorn. Ummm..... wth people, they still make all 3 of those products! Wow, some people......smh
  12. Mike you are holding out on me! I'm looking for a 3rd 30 for a center, darn it! I need to come over and see how they sound! BTW, upgrading the tweets to ti will be a very good investment, also crossovers too. Congrats!
  13. We do the blockbuster too, but its only like $10 a month online. Its one DVD or Blu ray at a time, which is awesome and is more then enough for our once a week (but you can time it to where you get 2-3 a week) movie watching. You can also go in store and swap to a new one, but there is not a close one anymore , except for one that's about a 20 min drive. Before I do that I will do a red box, there is one thats only 1/4 mile away! But for blockbuster I like the online feature, where you can put the DVDs in a Que, and have them listed from what you want first to last.
  14. No sorry I mean McIntosh. I'm having a little but annoying problem with my processor.
  15. Um.... I just did that! lol
  16. Where should I go for questions about my MAC Processor? Audiokarma??
  17. Who knows if they are stock, but still cool! By the way, I'm not a dummy, I know my iq is like 1000 or sumthin. And yo, Beethoven is DEAF son!
  18. I think I saw a pair of pro series heresy's in a music vid for RUN-DMC, called "King of Rock". They are black and in the museum, at about .53 into it you will see them.
  19. I must say they do, I just did mine and they sound great!
  20. Come on its only once a year! I am not going this year, big bummer since I have not missed a WDC since 2000
  21. It's always my fault... That's ok, ill take it back when you let me listen to your jubs!
  22. It's always my fault... That's ok, ill take it back when you let Nw listen to your jubs!
  23. No thoughts on the connections but, owning a McIntosh setup is like having the Holy Grail for us audio enthusiast. Congratulations! This all about sharing our dreams with other forum members. Thanks! That's why I am posting here to share my dreams of finall getting it!
  24. I would call it a multi-pin connector. But since you said XLR I just went with it, since I am not a mcintosh expert! So I hope someone will chime in and give me their opinion on the 2 ways to connect this setup.
