  1. we just decided to place it beside Anahita speakers: I decided to try Beyma 15LX60V2 for the first try: and here we go! it sounds dynamic! dynamics in spades! solid. deep and articulate.
  2. the reflectors placed: I put everything under pneumatic press: time to cut the angled parts: shape up man! time to place the braces. first of all I build a fixture. I built fixture for everything fixture in place:
  3. actually yes the numbers in the plan doesn't come along with each other by default. I had to make minor changes within 1-2mm tolerance. you'd better redraw the plan in Coreldraw at first. I'm still looking for a way to have no screws on the front panel.
  4. Oh it's a lot easier to build than Khorns!
  5. Hello buddy, I can pay 500 Euros for them (without compression drivers) and I'll arrange a pickup at your door. let me know if we can have a deal. Enjoy your wooden K402!
  6. This guy has a wonderful choice of custom made speakers and he has that crappy choice in wall hangings? OK fess up, who's are these? I gotta think its a forum member Okay, this is done in Ukraine. A couple of years ago, I bought here a couple of 402 horns, for my friend. So we had the original. And my friend decided to build a clone of the tree. We have a master who can be trusted with such Projects. One issue will have to sell the original. I would buy them if you offer a fair price
  7. I'm submitting this thread to have a progress log of Jamboree bass-bin. the first single cabinet is a try I still don't know if my way of building it will result good or not. probably does. I'm gonna use MDF for the first sample. sure the final will be BB plywood. it's just a prototype. here are two pictures of cuts we did today: I'll keep you posted. thanks for watching. I'm still looking for a pair of K402 with no luck in sight
  8. So Arash, who's horns are these? I just saw it in a hornspeaker community in facebook.
  9. it's not my job. I wish it was I've been looking for K402 profile with no luck. I'll start building a paif with a nive veneer on them as soon as I have the plans. If I have the plan of K402 I'll find the best way to build a wooden version and submit a well-documented topic (like this) about it and hopefully more people can build it.
  10. it's wood from head to toe
  11. unfair! I want these! where can I get the K402 plan?
  12. I like the sound of D220Ti. it's a good driver for the money but I prefer CP-25 which is smoother and easier to listen to. after all Faital Pro HF108 with 18Sound XT120 horn is the best hon tweeter I've heard under $1K
  13. I can't think of a better solution than Hypex modules considering the price. their new NCore 400W@8ohms is a huge step forward in Class D. probably the only Class D that can deliver "real music" I wish they made one that was under 100wpch. Hypex has amplifiers from 32wpc up to 3200wpc.

  15. I would be truly interested in a pair of K402s if the horns could be sold lonely. where can I purchase?
  16. that does not include Oris 150 horn. not even a bit. no honkiness no coloration at all.
  17. I can't live with K-400 since I heard Edgar Tractrix horn. far better in term of sound quality. K-400 has a better wow factor but it will cause me a headache after 30 minutes of listening or so
  18. Khorns will get nasty ~400hz that's why a cf. 200hz tractrix horn comes along with a Khorn very good as you can cross it at 300hz. try to cross them as low as you can. I crossed a big tractrix horn at 225hz and put it on top a Khorn with stunning result.
  19. has anybody here any experience with Beyma 15XA38ND 15" coax? it seems interesting and there are some good comments of people preferring it over Tannoy concentric driver.
  20. Here is a quick measurement from that area. that is obviously "too much bass"! if your audio source is a PC i suggest to use Dirac Live or IK Multimedia ARC 2
  21. a friend of mine just went to barber shop and came back with an interesting picture a simple wooden cabinet with a LCD T.V. on top of it that badly looks like a Jamboree with a K402 I wanted to share it here
  22. I really need comments about HF140 vs. HF144/HF146 as I'm about to finalize the list of my order.
  23. Klipschorn build is not that easy. DO NOT go into it if you do not have a table saw with precise angled cut ability.
  24. lovely speakers! I wanted to say "what a interesting story with happy ending" but I know it's just the beginning of countless of hours happy listening. Enjoy!
