I think the runny nose thing in cold weather is pretty common, and I don't know how one would avoid it except do like I do and run indoors.. Not a good solution for most, I guess. I for me think a lot depends on whether it's a dry cold or wet cold air outside, plus where I'm running. If I'm running in my neighborhood, there's a lot of fireplace smoke in the air and that irritates my sinuses and makes the runny nose and post-run cough much worse. I tend to not run close to home in the winter as a result.

Hi, After running for 30 years and moving from Seattle to New York ten years ago, I find that in cold weather I often have terrible nasal problems after running outside--sneezy, runny nose. This can usually be avoided by stuffing cotton up my nostrils (ick!). Does anyone else have this problem? Hi. New to forum. New to Klipsch. Too embarassed to tell you what I'm currently using other than a mishmash of Onkyo, Bose, and Cambridge Soundworks. Thought I'd upgrade by going old school. Just bought some KSF s5's on bid site. supposed to receive next week. Now I'm fired up about replacing fronts and center. Thinking 8.5's for the front and C-5 for center. What do you think? If logic is sound, does anyone know where I might start looking, other than bid site? I have a 7.1 surround system made up of rsx-4 left/right/ surrounds and rcx-4 center. I am moving to a home that has a huge (close to 1000 sq ft) room, and am thinking these speakers are just not going to fill the room. I am thinking that I should replace the front 3 and am hoping that I can reuse the rsx-4's as surrounds, but don't know if the current lineup will match. Can you help me in identifying speakers that match the rsx-4 surrounds? Currently looking at rb-81 left and right, and rc-62 center. Will those match? Thanks for your help!

Planning to move my LaScalas to another room and will need longer wire. I've been using Speltz Anti-Cable, and I love it...but...is there something just as good but cheaper out there? Monoprice oxygen-free maybe? In the past, I've used lamp cord, Home Depot, WalMart extension (not bad), solid core silver (too bright), etc. I would love some recommendations! Hello Everyone. I recently purchased a pair of stock 80s Klipschorns as an experiment to see if they would work in my room as well as to determine if I like horns. I discovered that I like alot of things the Khorns do in my room, but I find that the upper frequencies can be piercing and fatiguing on alot of material. My questions is whether any of the modifications (i.e., crossovers, trachorns/V-Trac and drivers) alleviate and improve upon this problem, or is this the inherent nature of the speaker? Hello, I am new to the board, so hi everyone, and thankyou in advance for any help you can give me. I just bought speakers and I need to buy wires and a receiver i think. I have 2 x xf48, 3 xl23 and sub xw300. Please can you suggest whats I should get to set them up correctly. I want to use it for music and movies. I have just bought my first iGroove on eBay.I am DELIGHTED with the sound produced - by far the best speaker system of this size that I have heard. It's the silver one which I think is the first?? Unfortunately it didnt come with a remote but I can live without that. I have a question....I am using a 3rd generation Nano and, althought it fits and works with the iGroove directly, I can't seem to fit it in any of the adaptors. I get the lucky task of repainting the bedroom. I currently have a set of IW250s ( I think) and both the white frame and the grilles were painted when i painted the room the last time. I cant leave them with the color they are now cuz the paint colors do not match. In hindsight I wish I had not painted them and left them white. Hi, I'm actually thinking about bying a Sound station for my IPod Nano 5G. Now I found very good reviews about the iGroove HG and the SXT. But I wasn't able to figure out which of these two would be better for me. I want to get the IPod charged while in the station and to play best quality musik on it. Hello, I have the original version of the IGroove SXT. The unit has worked perfectly for the couple of years that I've had it but now all the sudden I can't seem to adjust the volume. When I power the unit on from Standby the volume is very low. When I push the up or down volume button I hear what sounds like a electronic click coming from the unit but the volume doesn't change. When I try changing the volume from the remote I get the same electronic click sound but again the volume doesn't change. It appears that it's not a physical issue with the buttons due to getting the same response from the remote. I can hear music coming from the Ipod but it's just not loud enough to listen to from more then a few inches. Do you have any suggestions that I can try. I knew when I purchased the RS-35's for side surround duty that I would always be curious how the RS-52's would compare since the RS-35's are from an older series. Low and behold I came a cross a good deal on a pair of RS-52's and picked them up. It took some time to re-route the left speaker wire since it was on an exterior wall. I decided to position the speakers in between the front and back row. Last night, me and a friend of mine spent a few hours trying to re-route my left surround (boy was it a booger). We ran into a few problems but eventually was able to fish the wire on the other side of the fern strip. I just bought a pair of very large (38"x28"x16") and heavy Cornwall floor mount speakers for $200 and wondering what exactly I have? On the back is a label that is signed by the inspector, etc. and states...Cornwall....Type CWR-15...serial #36732. The front (screen?) seems to be made of some kind of burlap or bamboo material? Does anyone have any information on these speakers so I can properly combine the necessary equipment to them for the best possible quality? Hi, We installed a pair of Ki362 speakers into a bar and venue about this time last year. Since then we have replaced the tweeter horns 6 times. The tweeters do not appear to be burnt out, the dome has physically come away from the coil assembly. In desperation, we have modified the crossovers to run the mid horn to the top of the band and have disconnected the tweeters. We are receiving very little support from the NZ/Australian agent in getting this sorted out, and our client does not have many good things to say about Klipsch at present !! It's a pity, as the speakers sound damn fine. Has anybody else experienced this problem ? Is there anybody from Klipsch here who might take this on board to sort it out ? Aloha! Just pondering some speaker placement options ... I've got split LSI speakers (pre-aluminum trim) and I've looked through the forum trying to see an example of the HF section mounted separately from the LF bin. Was there a specific way this was done - did Klipsch make any type of mount for example? Usually I've seen the HF sections simply stacked up if the rig was pretty jumbo. I'm sure I could cobble together something that would work, but if I had a photo or someone's experience to draw on, that'd be a great help. Sorry for being so late to post something but we have been VERY busy with company and working on a new room. I got the Headphones I won from klipsch and to my surprise it was the Image X5, I was not expecting this model to be honest. I love them, I did not have any headphones and it has been years since I last owned even the over the ear style and they were not a really good sounding set. I was very surprised at the difference in modern well made headphones. Well I am not going on saying the normal things like " I can hear things I have not heard before ", but I did ! They are very clear and detailed and not having in ear headphones before there is a difference for the better. There is one thing I noticed, I keep saying " just one more song " and I will get back to work, and I end up listening for another hour. They really sound good and are comfortable enough to wear for long periods, you forget there on. The bass is great but the midrange and high frequencies are unbelievable, the overall sound is perfect to my ears. After years of noisy jobs my ears are far from perfect and then add in my age 52 and no matter how good a speaker is some sounds are not as clear from a speaker that is across the room, and I am not just talking about the normal high frequency loss from age. But with these in ear headphones it must be helping with some of that, I seem to be hearing the music in much more detail and clarity and I have not turned them up very much at all so it's not volume. Overall they are very comfortable and sound great, I need to get something portable so I can use them outside and other places.
