Need advice w.r.to upgrading my Klipsch WF-35's
Loudogp250 replied to mathewvarghese2001's topic in Technical/Restorations
Welcome to the forum Matt, Your WF 35's are 97dB. Sound and Vision tested your Onkyo Two channels driven continuously into 8-ohm loads 0.1% distortion at 176.1 watts 1% distortion at 199.5 watts. Are you running your receiver in 2 ch mode? Direct / pure mode? Looks like your speakers can be bi-amped, is the binding post attached? You have a powerful receiver with very efficient speakers. As for speakers I really enjoy the Heritage line for music / movies and the reference line for movies / music. Others with more experience than I should jump in shortly. Again welcome to the forum. Beautiful. I have a pair of Forte that I purchased from jweber some time ago. Great speakers and a great man to deal with. Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk

My first record day. Here in Cincinnati Shake It Records was great. Live band with local restaurants taking breakfast orders for those of us that waited two hours in line. I had a great time. Picked up Muddy Waters, the John Wick soundtrack and a Star Wars picture album. I also grabbed the Traveller which isn't a RSD exclusive but a great album. Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk

The more I listen to vinyl using this TT the more I like it. Coming from a 80's JVC with Audio Technics 95T to a Grado Blue1 might have something to do with it. Im not saying that my old setup was bad. To my ears my current setup sounds great. Great purchase.

The screen is permanent. The room is a dedicated Theater that also substitues as my music area. I actually listen to music more than I watch movies. I layed one forte on its side. Looks like it could work.Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk

This looks great. My ceilings are 8ft high and with a 120in screen I don't have much space between the bottom of the screen and the floor. A compromise could be a smaller screen.... Maybe. Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk

Is the RC 7 still available? Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk

Thanks jjptkd, I will look into it. I want a center channel that will fill a fairly large room. Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk

I have never heard a RC7. I saw one in the garage section. Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk

This hobby is wonderful but seems to never stop. After buying a new receiver and turntable. Going from new caps to entirely new crossovers I can say I love the sound my system produces. Now my center channel works but seems very inadequate (KV3 with Ti diaphram). I have been playing with the idea of taking a K-75-k & a K-53-K with two 8 inch woofers, building a box, and using a Bob Crites crossover. What does everyone think?

Does anyone have one for the KV 3? Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk

Loudogp250 - Please clarify one thing in your original post - When you moved the quiet tweeter assembly to the other speaker enclosure, did that same tweeter continue to be quiet?Lars When I moved the quiet tweeter to the other speaker the tweeter worked as it should. It was perfectly fine.Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk

Anyone know how to read a schematic? I have removed to Crossover and would like to build one from the parts that I currently have? This is what I had. Can someone please explain the attached Forte schematic? I am going to attached the components to a piece of wood and attached it to the inside of my speaker using velcro. I have searched the forum and can't find anything that I understand. I need a "this is how you build a forte crossover for dummies".
