  1. My front 7's are DeanG just check RC-7 it is a DeanG After about 15 minutes with this the RC-7 hooked up I believe I will have a black RC-64 for sale soon
  2. Gorm, After reading this I was lucky enough to find a RC-7 with DeanG upgrade on CL. I have a RC-64 and can't wait to see what the RC-7 does for my system.
  3. Youthman, Glad you are enjoying the UMC. When you dial it in to your liking it can be quite impressive.
  4. Youthman, I have both the HK 3600 and the UMC-1. In MHO they both have there pros and cons. The UMC SQ is fantastic it gives you all the bells and whistles to tweak until you are tired of tweaking. The HK 3600 sounds great but does not give you the options the UMC does. I am constantly tweaking the Umc when I turn on the HK I just enjoy the sound Hope this helps in your upgrade
  5. Did you do any level-matching tests at a certain SPL? No, I did not but I may try that this weekend. I did notice at 90 + spl the Xpa 5 detail and imaging on the 7's was improved
  6. Gorm, I noticed a huge improvment in my 7's when I swapped out UPA-7 for XPA-5. I am actually thinking about XPA-2 for the fronts
  7. I do not have any experience with the Integra 50.2. I will say the UMC-1 is a great sounding pre/pro but it does have its quirks. Still waiting for another upgrade to hopefully correct remaining problems with it. As far as being able to tune your system the Umc-1 gives you more than all the avr's or pre/pro's I have used.
  8. I never had great results with EMOQ but manual setup you can tweak each individual speaker as much as you want.
  9. I didn't see where you posted your impressions and also that you got Dean's crossover mode....If you don't mind me asking, why did you decide to do that? Tkd, I am pleased with the 7's as surrounds I origanally had the RS-3's there then tried the KSP-S6's. Came across another deal on CL so thought I would try them. I am very pleased with the setup as is now. As far as the upgrades to crossovers I read quite a bit on Deans upgrade and indeed was money well spent . Dean's crossovers brought these already great speakers to another level. Improved clarity, detail. I setup the originals and updated side by side and was amazed at the difference.
  10. Tkd, I am at Emofest right now When I return home on Tuesday I will post my thoughts on the questions for you. Thanks Bill
  11. I have 3600 with my KLF'20's I love it. What were you wondering? I actually just bought some Klipschorns I have been using it with.
  12. I am also looking forward to checking out the X 12 I am going to Emofest next weekend I may come home with 1 or 2.
  13. It sounds great.. I am sending Dean the crossovers to do next week Looking forward to see what that does for the 7's
  14. Heino Welcome The RF-7's have binding posts all in a row The RF-7ii's have posts in 2 rows These are different speakers.
  15. That is great to hear. I talked with most of the Emo crew at Axpona last week . Great people there. Hopefully they straighten out my UMC-1 I just sent it off

  18. No. I have not updated my profile I bought a pair of 7' s about 2 weeks ago then picked up a Rc 64 about a week ago I know the correct one is Rc 7 but got a good deal on 64
  19. Have a chance at a matching pair of maple 7's to match mine Was wondering how they would be for surrounds?
  20. Glad to hear your enjoying the HK, I have a HK AVR-1600 rated at 50wpc and a Denon AVR-791 rated at 90wpc The HK IMO tops Denon.
  21. I would agree after only less than 24 hours with the 7's
