  1. I think so as well, but if they dont match up well with RC-64 then wouldn't be worth it for me at this stage. Seller also has an Emotiva XPA 3 for 350.00. I think he lives very close to my work in downtown Toronto.
  2. No affliation, but curious how these would sound matched up with my RC-64 and RB-81's surrounds in 5.1 set up ? http://www.canuckaudiomart.com/details/649073236-klipsch_thx_ultra_2_kl650_x2_speakers_800_pair/
  3. Something like this work for you? http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10218&cs_id=1021815&p_id=5612&seq=1&format=2
  4. Wow....GLWS....Themrclean should be drooling on by soon enough!![]
  5. There's the torrent....perfectly legal after airing http://thepiratebay.sx/torrent/8549260/The.Hero.S01E01.HDTV.x264-NOiD
  6. I second that my brother. Bill Me too....happy anniversary !
  7. If you're ok with watching it after it has aired then getting through a torrent site is easy and is posted fairly quickly after airing with popular shows. I do that with certain shows as I work evenings and download them when I get home. You can most tv shows from a free torrent site like piratebay and use a program like uTorrent. Your PS3 will play most video files (mkv doesn't work) so you just dump it onto a thumb usb drive and insert into PS3 to play. heres two links. 1 to utorrent and piratebays tv section. http://www.utorrent.com/ http://thepiratebay.sx/browse/208
  8. John, thanks for some great info and direction. certainly food for thought as I progress slowly. I'll be updating this thread as I experience the new additions.
  9. Love the walnut cabinets on Mc's.......here my C-26 all done up
  10. Go big or go home with vintage pioneer!....here's a beauty Pioneer sx-5590 near me. Love the black face and history of these. http://www.canuckaudiomart.com/details/649063516-pioneer_sx5590_monster_receiver/
  11. Heresy ii's sold and Ti diaphrams for the Quartets ordered! I'm definately loving the fuller sound of these over the H2's. I guess I'll start doing my homework and figure out if getting the crossovers redone by BEC or buy new ones from him is the better option from both performance vs cost. I did a lot of reading and seem to remember that replacing the mid horn diaphragms is a big step up too. Any info or experience on that would be most welcome. Thanks guys!
  12. I woulda walked them to the greyhound bus terminal and put them on a bus to Buffalo for the same price! [] And grabbed a return ticket for that academy !....
  13. paying it forward as I got them for a steal. Not in it for the profit and like i said earlier, I'm making enough to get free diaphragms for new quartets. I'm good with that. I keep seeing local heresys being reposted and reposted and reposted asking 600 or close to it and never or very rarely lower.
  14. Your ad is still up. I will keep it up until they walk out the door.....guy is coming at 8pm. seems like a solid guy from canuckaudiomart.
  15. Thank you sir! He is actually around as I have emailed back n forth today with him. Just wanted to make sure as he only stated he checked database to see if they are correct ones. He's a good guy and doesn't gouge like the Canadian Klipsch reps here in Toronto from my talks with them. I put my H2's up for sale locally for reasonable price and already selling them tonight for enough profit to get the ti diaphragms without going into pocket.....nice!
  16. Thanks guys!....I am loving them. They do have a similiar sound to my H2's but the low end really shines through on these. I think the H2's sound wider with acoustic material and the Q's have a more forward sound but still maintain the crisp highs and mids. The Q's are really impressing me with vinyl and the bass really hits hard at moderate listening level. Still need to tweak as I tried with both my rt-10d and without it. These are perfect for my set up and music tastes. I saw an old ebay ad for a Toronto local guy selling the ti diaphragms. Could someone try this link and let me know if these are the same as the Klipsch replacements or similiar to BEC's.If anyone has experience with either could you share your experience. I could get these pretty quick as I could pick them up this week. Thanks http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300680661062&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:CA:1123
  17. Bill are you feeling alright? Selling your Quartets? MADNESS!!!! After only 4 hours of listening to these I agree !!
  18. It was reading those threads about the Fortes that got me thinking when you mentioned your quartets. I'm restricted in space and the quartets are almost perfect being a lil thinner then the heresy's. I'm going to test them the Acurus and UMC-1 at some point as my rf35's are right next to them to A-B, but loving them off the MC250/C26 combo. The mc250 is a little beast of an amp and scored a nice c26 awhile ago. My lovely lady got me the wooden case for my c26 for xmas and she likes the quartets over the heresies....she's a keeper!
  19. Gotta be even quicker here in Canada when deals comes up. A guy posted these on CL at 11:30am this morning and I had them in the car by 12:30. A great guy who is a musician and refused to take better offers after talking to him and my love for Klipsch. He knows they are going to a loving home! Replacing my heresy ii's for now,but these babies sound good without tweaking so far. I'll need to tame the bass a lil with the rear passives as I only have 6 inches in back to spare so I can drop my projector screen in front of them.. Excited and will be thinking of upgrading the tweeters and mids after some hours listening.
  20. Curious to see his McIntosh and other Stereo equipment after such great speakers pics and prices. GLWS on all your gear!
  21. Wish I had the room....... http://www.canuckaudiomart.com/details/649061462-klipsch_cornwalls/
  22. I can't vouch for the "long life" as I've had my Epson 8350 for only 2 months now, but the brightness and picture quality has been an awesome upgrade over my old Optoma Hd65. The placement flexability of the 8350 is fantastic and would be a good fit for that room. In bright mode it looks as bright as my plasma in fairly lit room in daytime. At night with complete light control, this projector is impressive for the price. Great warranty service as well with Epson from my research.
