  1. LOL. Seller is going to be in for a rude awakening if they already started spending the money.
  2. 800 shipped for the 5 GEC tubes. - Forum members only. I'm very confident in the tubes and I'm sure there will not be a problem. However, I will let forum members who buy them test them / check their strength and will accept a return if they do not test well. Thank you.
  3. The MC30s are now sold. Tubes still available.
  4. Back to top. Does a very awesome job with Chorus IIs.
  5. Why should the "cornwall killers" be worth less than Cornwalls?
  6. Not all of us have glass connections. Also there are a ton of variables that impact the price. I went for something more than the "standard" offerings.
  7. I also had glass tops created for my current Oiled Oak Chorus IIs. It ran me about 100 bucks. So those being included does add some value as well.
  8. Had a standing offer of 1500 for my Oiled Oak Chorus IIs from the person that bought my MC30s yesterday. I'm guessing these won't last long. Chorus IIs are having a bit of a resurgence. In fact, I'm giving serious thought to picking these up and selling the Oiled oaks.
  9. I'll be shocked if this ad is still available later this afternoon.
  10. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/2182839521812355/ Probably asking too much. Missing badges, water rings, non consecutive serial numbers. Faded brown grills that are now that lovely green shade. I'm finding that finding a pair of non consecutive numbers is pretty rare to be honest.
  11. SOLD ---- SOLD Selling my McIntosh MC250 2 channel power amplifier. It is in excellent condition, and has the wonderful warm vintage McIntosh sound. Very "tube" like. It has been powering a pair of Klipsch Chorus IIs in my dedicated listening room. It has had a full restore / complete audio path recap by the famed McIntosh Authorized Terry Dewick. His current backlog for work is over 120 days per his website. This amplifier is fully restored and will be plug and play for many, many years to come. The body is also in awesome condition for a vintage amplifier. I prefer a local sale, but I do have a double padded box that this amplifier can be safely shipped in. The amplifier is still in the listening room and can be demoed at any time. Located in Amana, Zip code 52203. I am looking for 1050 plus shipping. Thank you,
  12. Note, I do have 12 more HI RES photos of the tubes. I will share a Google drive containing these photos to anyone that is interested. Thank you.
  13. GEC KT66 Tubes - Matched Quad + 1 These tubes were purchased from Upscale Audio as a matched quad plus a "service tube" for a pair of McIntosh MC30s. 1 single tube and 1 matched quad. All 5 tubes did test NOS when I purchased them from Upscale Audio. Their markings and test results are on each box. Now, I do not have a tube tester. I can't tell you what the results of the tubes today. I can tell you that I ran all 5 tubes for a brief time in my MC30s and did not observe any issues. I do NOT put tubes into my MC30s that I do not trust. Because I don't have a tester, I cannot offer any sort of guarantee or accept a return on the tubes. I will however make sure that they are very properly boxed for shipping, and I will insure the package as well. I DO NOT want these tubes to break during shipment. Local pickup is also welcome. I have complete confidence in these tubes. Upscale Audio doesn't sell junk, and that is why they were purchased from them. You will receive the matched quad of GEC KT66 tubes pictured, along with the boxes and test results. Plus the single KT66 "Service tube" also in its box with the results picture. The service tube is separately marked from the others. Note on the pictures: I was going to sell the service tube separately, that is why I didn't include it with any of the photos of the matched quad. Looking for 800 OBO. Shipment will be via priority mail and will include insurance. 10 dollar flat rate shipping, although I suspect it will be bit more after insurance. I will cover any amount over 10 dollars. I will not ship these tubes outside of the United States. Thank you, and please don't hesitate to ask me any questions.
  14. I mean, the price is ok if you want to ask that. However, Hawkeye, buddy, do you really think someone is going to drop 1500 for speakers where they only see 1 photo? Take it from an Iowa State fan, you need more photos of them. Show them off a bit. If they are in wonderful physical and mechanical condition someone will pick them up. Also, its highly unlikely you will sell them here for that price. You would need to open it up on everyone and advertise a bit.
  15. The Chorus II prices seem to be at a high at the moment. Its a speaker in serious demand, and finding a pair in mint condition is getting harder and harder.
  16. I would be willing to deliver / meet someone within 100 miles of 52203. Even though I do have "the crate", I really don't want to ship this amp. It would be nice if it could stay within the Klipsch forums family.
  17. LOL I could see a absolutely mint pair of Chorus IIs bringing that money, but those Fortes look damaged on the top.
  18. Bump. Adjusted the price to be more in line with numerous other ones sold recently.
