@Marvel direct drive function ON kinda maybe?!
I don't think so... it should loop down under the tensioner. Plus, it's all manual controls.
@Invidiosulus what brand is that?

Lake Street Dive got their name from playing in seedy Dive bars on Lake Street in in Minneapolis, MN.
I had thought it was an oblique reference to LSD, the hallucinogenic drug, but apparently not so.

Can't get enough LSD.... "What I'm Doing Here"

These are more my price range.
If you can't afford La Scala bottoms, these would work quite well.
They are plywood, too.

Sure would love those... alas, not to be.

That tape isn't threaded correctly.

I have trouble listening to Tom Waits, but when others do his songs, they can be magical.

Oh... I'm in Chattanooga, but have no money. Too bad ... I sold the ones I had, same vintage. Miss them terribly.

The last two LPs I listened to were Karla Bonoff and Norman Blake.

It was just a thought. I haven't touch a Mac since 2016. I was looking up the specs, and it looks like a no on that idea.
Might try a DAC, or other piece to go between.

Do the iMac models still have the optical out on the aux/headphone out? Does the THX system have an optical input?

When we updated our kitchen (removed carpet and dark built in cabinets and electric stove), we added a dishwasher. We've never used it. We both will wash and dry, but they are almost always done before we leave the kitchen.
The largest employer in our county is the Roper Corp., now wholly owned by GE. But hey are owned by Haier, a Chinese company. A friend of mine has worked there his whole life, getting ready to retire. He said the new stoves and appliances they make are the cheapest he has ever seen. They are built here and shipped to China and they make money on them.
His complaining may be sour grapes, but there could be some truth to what he says.

HIIs are great speakers. We'll balanced, and they can rock when appropriate.

Going to get another LS myself.
Thanks... you too!
I've noticed, over the years, that a lot of folk migrate back to a pair of LS. They're big, but not too big, with a great presentation, whether tweaked or not.

My Heresy IIs, even after a recent recap, have plenty of bass, very well balanced.
Then again, I was ok with my LS. I don't do home theater, so only music. Different genres, but I certainly won't be modding them in any way.
The H IVs have better bass, though but I'm still not fond of rear ports, but that's just me.

Those would be right at home on my Snails, but I will have to start with something a little smaller. Very nice looking set.

Actually, that is the power cutoff. On play back or rewind, that arm will drop down and cut off the power to the reel motors when you reach either end of the tape.. it's that way on at least 3 of the decks I have (I have more).
