  1. I agree with shapeshifter, NAD T761, T751 and T741 sound tremendous good for music. The main diference is in power. For your SB-3 the 741 should be enough.
  2. Love to hear te review from Josh! Heresy II are still sensational speakers in many respects. Their "bass speed" as well as their warm upper-bass and full midrange should stand as a reference for new klipsch speakers, also their tremendous dynamics. Add better resolution in the high-frequency range, maybe better imagine, and more deep-bass and you have a tremendous high-end speaker. In my comparisons between Klf30 (20) I also liked more the H-II's midrange, its more "there", less thin and warmer. I use McIntosh gear which suits very well. Mark
  3. Uuuuups, forgot to wish happy birthday, was celebrating with my wife last saturday, so all the best to both! Mark
  4. Finaly, after some quiet bad recorded operas and so on, I found an exzellent recorded classical-dvd, the new-years-concert 2002 with Ozawa on TDK. I am not a valse fan, but the Wiener Symphoniker play superb and the SOUND of the DTS soundtrack is just FABULOUS. Huge diference to the DD soundtrack by the way. Mark
  5. William, maybe the problem is my direct translation from swiss-german into english?!!. Just wanted to say that these Heresy II sound damn good for classical, (dificult to translate.....)
  6. Feed the Heresy II's with good classical stuff through proper amplification and those little babies get a dinosaur. Maxg, how about the diference when you listen those cd's on your Marantz CD-6000, SACD versus normal CD??? Mark
  7. Wenn you like the KLF 30 sound......... I also wote for Grado SR 125, it is a super-value. Also consider AKG 501, highly underrated!!!
  8. The NAD PP1 is a decent Phono stage for little money. By the way, I have just encountered an absolutely fantastic cardridge... the BENZ MICRO ACE, never but never my vinyl was shining that gloriously. If you are looking for a cardridge upgrade consider it, phenomenal and a super-match with my Heresy II!
  9. Try out the latest "Scheherazade" from Rimsky Korsakov on the RCA Label. Wonderfully played and of phenomenal sound quality!
  10. Mike Stern and John McLaughlin shouldn't be forgoten as well as Rory Gallagher.
  11. Myryad T-10 is an excellent choise!! Good sound, decent construction quality. Get it.
  12. New high- and midrange horns and drivers, new bass-driver, new cross-over and a mix of mdf and plywood for the cabinet instead of plywood only for the older version. The sound improved significantly with these modifications and made me a Heresy 2 fan.
  13. I did not have the oportunity to listen to the RF-7 already over here in Switzerland. Did you do some serious classical-listening??? How is the resonance-behaviour in the lower midrange and higer bass-region with critical instruments like piano and cello? I was able to optimise my system with Chorus II that it sounds just wonderful with any music including the really demanding classical stuff. Is a good driven and placed RF-7 "acceptable", "just good" or "reeeeeally good" for classical? So or so, can't wait to hear them! Thanks for any answers. Mark
