  1. I'm also interested in a pair. Thanks.
  2. How easy are these to install? To they need to be aligned with test tones? Thanks
  3. Thanks for tips, guys! I was successfully able to glue down the outer edges of the accordion surrounds, and make sure all the seals are air tight. Pushing on the passive makes the big woof move outwards, and vice versa. I'm thrilled with the sound, and Crites Ti diaphragms are on their way. Don't get me wrong, the stock poly diaphragms are fine, but the Crites add extra air and detail. I was hesitant about the black finish, but seeing it in person, it is quite sleek and modern. They weren't exactly cheap, but I'm happy to pay market price for such an awesome speaker that doesn't pop up too often, or for very long when they do. :-D
  4. Thanks, I'll check if necessary. These are still in fine shape fortunately (surprisingly, considering these don't have rear cover protection)
  5. Thanks! Has anyone repaired or replaced those surrounds? I'm sure there's a foam type out there that fits.
  6. Welll..... I have to admit, I'm the culprit! Lol I got them. :-) I couldn't resist! Of course, thanks to the heads-up. I've barely had time to play with them. Drivers are fine, except I have to reglue the accordion surround on a small part of one of the passives. A small section near a screw hole is loose and has some air escaping. Should be good as new when I'm done. They're flipping amazing! Next up, get Crites Ti diaphragms.
  7. Same price mentioned above,700 plus tax.
  8. Excellent preamp! If I didn't already have 2, I'd be all over this. Good luck with your sale.
  9. I called, they've been sold.
  10. Do these fit ST-350 tweeters by chance?
  11. Awesome, Max2! I need those for my Khorns. How do you you attach those nine inch pieces you mention for the bottom? Are your plans the same as those I've seen floating around, or modified?
  12. I have a pair of SS-TL5 also. Love em! Check out the quality of the crossovers, also. I always enjoy rotating them into the main system. Nice score! I saw a pair on Ebay go for five hundred.
  13. What about JBL 2404H? I think there's a member on here who prefers them. I'm not sure about the different versions though. I have the Beyma right now, which are quite nice.
  14. Thanks guys, no further misunderstandings about OP trolling. I don't like cats in/on my gear AT ALL. The little stinker jumped in, even though she knows she doesn't belong there! :-P She likes to be sneaky, much to my chagrin. She does it for attention mostly.
  15. My post was trolling?? It was a good natured and silly post. Excuse me!
  16. Errrrr I thought it was a cute photo that my GF took. This thread really went where I couldn't have imagined. Just. . Wow
  17. I pulled them out to change some wiring, and this happened!
  18. Thanks for the input, guys! I knew there were some EV experts on here ☺. So far, so good!
  19. I hooked em up, both sound the same to my ear. Which is very good! I guess the differences were just cosmetic. I may end up lowering the mid level slightly, since they seem a little louder than K55M. I'm enjoying them so far!
  20. Hmmm maybe these are just production numbers rather than thickness? One is a little darker colored for some reason.
  21. I received the pair of drivers that I won off Ebay. I requested that they were matched for resistance, since more than one pair was available. Both are around 12ohms. I opened up to inspect the diaphragms, and it looks like two different types! Argh! One has N 1.18 and the other has N 2.7 written on the dome with marker. Are these different thickness? I want a matched pair for home use. I've attached photos. Thanks for any input!
  22. Sweet deal on DH1A, guys! Yesterday, I pulled the trigger on a pair of EV N/DYM 1-16 with original diaphragms. They should be similar to DH1A in performance. I can't wait to get them and compare to stock K55M! :-D
