  1. I have the 700, great remote. Just don't use any of your original remotes to turn stuff off.... or the harmony will not know its turned off and therefore you will have to manually turn it back on.
  2. I guess the big debate in my head is go two rw12ds or go two epik legeneds. Or go one epik empire ?
  3. What do you think of about your svs compared to the rw12d?
  4. I might as well add another 2 options here? How about dual epik legends? Is the svs 12nsd really everything everyone talks it up to be?
  5. Its hard to find reviews on the empire so I thought id ask the pros: I currently own one rw12d and wanted to purchase another one as soon as new egg gets them back in stock. But at the same time I was wondering if I would be better off buying a new epik empire and then keep the rw12d for aesthetics since it matched my system but mainly just running the epik What do you think?
  6. Idk but I have heard great things about the epik empire. That will be my next big purchase
  7. These often get damaged during shipping... most likely the tube or something else is a little loose inside... if worse comes to worse pull of the woofer and see whats loose... a lot of people have had this problem and its an easy fix.... its because they use hot melt glue to glue down the components
  8. a guy just put up a pair of 63's for sale in the fs section and he is willing to ship
  9. Thank you for the welcome and quick reply..... Im talking about Epiks current Legend subwoofer for 499 or two for 899.
  10. I currently have a single rw12d klipsch sub.... I don't know rather to buy another one for $300 or to buy 2 epic legends? What is your guys opinion?
  11. Ok don't mean to hijack this guys thread here.... but now i have going from my amp to speaker with spades on the speaker end..... can i connect top binding post with bottom binding post through bananas to get rid of those little tin pieces of crap?
  12. I have the 82's and I don't think you can use bananas at all... there is a cap in the center of the posts so i use spades
  13. Will the xpa-3's power be sufficient or do I need to go with the 2 for the bigger power supply ?
  14. I currently am running two rf-82iis off of a parasound hca1000a thats putting out 125 w rms a channel.... I am looking at upgrading amps but can decide on what to do? Add a parasound 1500a for the fronts and use the 1000a for my center? Get a emotiva xpa-3 and power the fronts and my center? Get a emotiva xpa-2 for the fronts and use the parasound for my center? Or just break down and get the Xpa-5? Or i might just be heading in the total wrong direction here, is it worth giving up a quality parasound for emotiva?
  15. so on your 83's all there are making the same amount of output?
  16. I just for my 82 ii's yesterday and today i was messing around with them and i swear the the top woofer is moving more than the bottom. Does this sound right for a 2-way speaker that the woofers would put out different tones?
  17. I forgot to add i have heard both and love both, i just don't know how they compare side by side (age vs current technology).... my dad used to run kg5.5 (Km-6's) with a yamaha m-80 which was 250wpc rms and those thing were able to be heard from blocks away. I guess i am questioning rather i am chasing that dream with 16 year old speakers? Is it worth the risk?
  18. Ok i have a complicated matter to sort out. I already own 2 parasound hca-1000a amps that run 125w x 2 or 400w mono I have a line to get 2 km-6's for $400 ( mind you they were over seas for a while and they are 16 years old) or I can get new rf-82's First i would like opinions on which ones I should buy, money not being the problem. Second how should i amp either or: 1 amp running both channels? both amps on mono ( One for each speaker)? Both amps with a channel going to the bottom and a channel going to the top (essentially biamping)?
