  1. I have a pair that are both not working. They suffered some electrical issue and just don't output sound. I would just like to sell them as is and hope someone with some experience can fix them up and enjoy them. I'd be willing to GIVE one away if someone fixes the other....or can sell both if the price is right.' Klipsch has been less than helpful over the years in getting me info on how to repair. Located in FL, they are in their original boxes in a storage unit at the time, but are in amazing shape. PM or email to rivlinm (at) gmail dot com
  2. I'm interested in buying these, looking to downsize from my Chorus. PM me?
  3. Thanks. Unless rock bottom prices (you can PM me) I think I'll just stick with my chorus IIs for now.
  4. I have a pair of pristine palladium subs. They both have an electrical issue, but I'd sell if interested.
  5. I'm looking to buy a nicer pair of Heresy (ideally II or newer). I live in central Florida. Right now I have an offer for some decent cherry Heresy IIs in exchange for my Chorus IIs (+ $450). My chorus are in pretty good shape inside and out. I was hoping for a bit more than 500, but what do you all think? Should I just buy the heresys I want individually and not trade? I like my chorus, but never really utilized them correctly, just as rears for a LS front.
  6. Type: LS FB TG 90006214 89-17494 12/21/89 01/25/90 I believe they were numbered consecutively, but I didn't pull the other one out of its corner.
  7. Yes I think only one has termites, but they are both in similar shape, would be easy to repair (aside from where the termites ate the wood mostly on the bottom plate) with some wood putty and paint. The small issues have never bothered me.
  8. I don't have much input, that is why I came here. Willing to sell, but maybe new cabinets or trading for some nicer Heresys would be ideal... Then looking for offers/ideas on selling as is, or selling just the parts and tossing the wood.
  9. Here are some photos, they are too big to upload it seems: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/xvulebced63ottp/AADJRh2RMHHLj5xIwy709Ivba?dl=0 Al-3 cx
  10. I am considering selling my late 80's black La Scalas. I bought them used about ten years ago and they have been great, but a few years back I discovered termites. I treated them with chemicals (live in a condo so couldn't tent) and they seem to be better, but I think I just want them gone. But before I commit to sell, does anyone know how much it would cost for all new wood, and putting my horns and such in? Would I be better off scrapping the wood and selling for parts? Also willing to just sell to anyone who wants to pick them up. Let me know if interested.
  11. Thanks for the heads up on this. Just snagged a mini x for my 2.0 heresy setup..... Now to just find a CHEAP pre pro on CL.
  12. Not the exact setup, but I'm close and I love it. LS up front. Chorus II as my surrounds. 2x Palladiums as my subs (up front) Where I drastically differ is a lack of center right now. I tried a Heresy and didn't care for it. A third LS will go there someday. As for the rears, I enjoy music and tv much more so I had no need. I've learned there is more to be said for the arrangement of the speakers than the quantity. I'd focus on tuning in over buying more. It's the imaging of the LS that will prevent me from ever downgrading. So as mentioned, the subs upfront may not play nicely with the Khorns. Not that I've ever had them. Best of luck and be sure to share photos.
  13. Just curious what everyone thought of the Emotiva mini amp. (on sale) vs just a stock vintage stereo receiver from craigs list. I have the two Heresys in a 15x20 bedroom and plan to connect them via RCA to mini jack into my airport express to get airplay audio streamed to them. Nothing too fancy so that's why I ask if there is a point in buying a 180 dollar quality amp for this setup or just use a stock receiver. matthew
  14. Fronts: 2 '90 LS Rears: 2 Chorus II Subs: 2 Palladium 312s Center: 1 (or 2) '86 Heresy 1) As photographed, with the Heresys is series. Thoughts on stacking on the subs (I hate to do that)? (not sure I have enough power to fully do this) 2) One Heresy placed horizontally on the center console (looks really awkward and didn't sound very good) 3) 4.2 audio and dont use a center (the LS image really well and I don't feel like I'm without a center, and the Heresys can go in another room. 4) Other I know the IDEAL method is move my gear and put that third LS in as a center, but for my current situation that is not going to happen. That is the longterm goal though. Thanks for everyone's input. matthew
  15. Those look familiar!!! Should be getting them next week.
  16. If you can hang on to it for a few years, I'll buy! I have a pair of 12/89 LS for my RL and one day plan to use a similar single for my center, but dont have the space.... Who ever buys, contact me in 5 years!
