  1. All that is left is (1) D-75 First to commit gets it. Chris I do have one saved for you, and sent you PM rigma
  2. kaiser, I don't think I will have anything left after I go through all the PM's I received. I will not be able to do that until later this afternoon, work demands are heavy today. I will let everyone know who gets them, it will be in the order I received their commitments. I had no idea the demand would be this high. Should have priced them higher..LOL.. Rigma
  3. Duke, I am sorry I did not get your PM and by the time I got Meagain's the 3 were committed. I do have a 4th one that I planed to keep for my HT rear surrounds but I can use one of the 150's for that. If I do that then no 150's are left since one is spoken for. You will have to give until tomorrow to check it out because it hasn't been hooked up in several years and best I remember it was working fine..I just need to verify. Let me know for sure by posting here incase the PM doesn't work again.
  4. Chris, I used the 75's in bridged mono on my JBL 2404H tweeters through a Crown USM-810 digital processor with no hiss at all. I also have the Teac and tried it and perfered the 75's. The Teac did have a little hiss although from my listing position 16' away it was not and issue I just thought its tone was not as good.
  5. So far, I have dwillie down for (2) 300's and colterphoto1 down for (1) 300. Duke I never heard back from you so I assume you no longer are interested. All others are still available on a first to commit basis. dwillie & colterphoto1 I sent you contact info via email, let me know if you got it, the system here seems to be sporadic.
  6. dwillie, (2) DC300 are yours, I will send you email with contact info. All others are still available.
  7. dwillie, I answered you PM but did not hear back. Do you want the (3) 300's? You have first dibs. If not, Duke wants one. Let me know. None of the others have been spoken for. Rigma
  8. I have the following Crown amps I will offer to the forum prior to listing on Ebay: (2) D-75 $165 ea (2) D-150A Series II $225 ea (3) D-300A Series II $275 ea Prices are fair and firm. Shipping is actual cost or pick up in Nashville, TN All have been used for many years in my home system, Tri Amped Khorns. Rigma
  9. Al, I have tried that(active xover) & to my ears it killed the purity of the mid range tone. I am currently driving my Khorns through your network with just the 300B's and Berman 76 pre and love the sound but it's just a little bass shy but plenty of volume on mid & highs. Maybe a simple passive network to rolloff off the lows between the pre and amps so as not to waste as much to the resistor, but I don't know how to match the impedance to the amps and pre. Could you design somthing for me? I will be glad to pay you for your time. Rigma
  10. I have a crazy idea! 300B SET connected to ALK Universal crossover with a dummy load on the woofer tap (just an 8 ohm resister or resister and inductor?) This would power the midrange and tweeter. Another ALK Universal crossover with dummy loads on mid and tweeter taps powered by Crown 300 DC to drive woofers. A splitter from each preamp channel to each amp input. Would this work? I know the 300B would be wasting power to the resistor but can live with that. I have tried the active crossover route and was not satisfied with the results. I love the sound of the 300B's on the mid & highs but want more oomph on the bass. I already have an extra pair of ALK's and the Crown so that is not an issue. Any input would be appreciated. Al what do you think? Do you have a better way I can do this using passive only? Rigma
  11. Mark, How do you measure the output impedance of a tube preamp if it is not known? I have had similar problems. Rigma
  12. What about this.(See sketch) I have always run the 2 centers in mono about 4-6 db down. What do you guys think of the idea of running the center LaScalas in stereo maybe even reversed stereo. By that I mean the left center running the hard right signal and right center the hard left. Just looking for opinions. Rigma
  13. I guess I will pass on these. The guy wants to meet me in the parking lot behind the White Castle Buger joint. He said his house is too hard to find and his amp is broke so he can't demo. Sure!
  14. Thanks Bob. Any idea of value?
  15. I have a chance to buy a pair of 1983 Cornwalls CWO S/N 34 Y 415 and 34 Y 421. They are local and he is asking $1,100 which seems high. He says they are 9 on a scale of 10. I have not seen them yet and would like to have the forum's opinion of their value before going to see them so I will be in a position to make a cash offer on the spot. These would be Cornwalls not Cornwall IIs correct? rigma
  16. I have kept quite to this point about the dealing I had with joesportster, several months ago, on a trade for a reel to reel. It was a piece of crap! which he described as excellent with very low hours, when in reality it had badly worn heads with thousands of hours use. Of course "it was damaged in shipping" His excuse for not following through with his agreement was he lost his job! Since then I have seen him portray himself as the victim needing sympathy too many times. Grow up and say what you will do and do what you say and live with the choices you make.
  17. I went to Mississippi State 1971-1974 majoring in Mechanical Eng. Now live in Nashville.
  18. Yea, unless he has a problem with that, he is one strange bird (pun intended). I will probally go back the first of next week.
  19. That's right I found an 80 yr old man that has been collecting LP's since 1950 and has 50,000+ LP's stacked 6' high completely filling a 2 car garage. His words "it was a hobby that got out of control" I am personally looking for 50-60's Jazz so I will be keeping all of them. On my first 2 hr search I found 17. What I did see was lots of later Jazz ex: George Benson, Grover Washington, Al Jarreau, Bob James, Herb Albert etc. Lots of Rock, old and newer, Gospel and every thing in between. He likes classical so there may not be much of that unless he has duplicates. I will be making many future visits to search but as you can imagine it will take allot of time to un-stack and look through and re-stack. His prices are firm at $2.00/LP, in other words a 2 disc set is $4.00 etc., unless I buy 1,000 at a time then price is negotiable. So if any of you have any artist you are interested in let me know and I will try to get them. Just know I can't search for specific Titles or condition but say if you want George Benson I can try to get as many different ones as I can find but you will have to agree to take them all regardless of title or condition. Condition varies from fair to excellent with no difference in price (I think he may be senile). If this doesn't get too overwhelming I will try to accommodate you guys, but I can see that it could get out of control in a hurry. I may have to set a min of 10 or more LP's, just don't know yet.
  20. If you guys, like me believe Tripath has great promise you should invest in their stock. The symbol is "TRPH" and it closed at $.90 today. I just bought 2000 shares so I hope they have a bright future. I think its a no-brainer.
