  1. Its not fair to compare the 4.2's to the RF-5's. That would be like the Denver Broncos playing the best high school team in the country. They are both great speakers but just not in the same league. The RF-5 will put music in your face with very fast, accurate bass, baby bottom smooth mids and crystal clear highs. The RF-5 is a stellar speaker. Had it nor been for the deal I got on my RF-7's, I would still own the RF-5's and I would still be happy.
  2. Well. I finally got around to looking at the sub on the 2.1 system to verify that it was the driver rattling. I put the box on the table and noticed a nickel in the port tube on the front. Lol. Turns out my 18 month old had found a nickle and put it in there so when the bass started up that nickel would rattle in the tube. I am relieved and somewhat embarrassed!! I do appreciate all the input!
  3. I would think the 8" Tang Band sub driver used in the Danley spud would kick some major butt at only $80. Not sure if it would fit in the box, however. http://www.parts-express.com/tang-band-w8-740p-8-subwoofer--264-854 I appreciate the input. The driver in the promedia 2.1 sub is 6.5" though.
  4. I need to replace the subwoofer driver in my pro media set. Can anyone help me out with suitable replacement options, maybe a little better quality than the original? (No offense, Klipsch)
  5. Just take a minute today to think about all the lives that were lost that day. Think about all the families whos lives were changed forever, all the children who grew up without their mothers or fathers. God bless america.
  6. Those type of women marry the check book.
  7. For those interested, I went with a Spigen Tough Armor case from Amazon. Its light, very well made, and NOT bulky at all but does provide great protection. As a screen protector I went with Tech Armor Anti finger print and glare, easy to apply with no liquid involved and it just about eliminates glares from lights, etc. http://www.amazon.com/Galaxy-Case-Spigen-Tough-Armor/dp/B00I3UWDV8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1410212679&sr=8-1&keywords=SPIGEN+GALAXY+S5 http://www.amazon.com/Tech-Armor-Anti-Glare-Anti-Fingerprint-Protectors/dp/B00IGISQUO/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1410213202&sr=8-3&keywords=GALAXY+S5+tech+armor
  8. The app that comes on it is called "smart remote". You can program several devices per room.
  9. I looked hard at the HTC One M8. What really won me over on Samsung was the whole waterproof thing and also the ability to change out my own battery. My last phone, the HTC One X battery malfunctioned after the warranty period and it cost about $100 to have it replaced. I'm not a fan of phones I cant change out the battery on. I no longer have to worry about spilling water on my phone or any water related incidents, well, within reason. The S3 is rated to 3ft deep for 30 min.
  10. I recently purchased a Galaxy S5 phone and I must say I am very impressed. It has a load of features but so far one of my favorites is its ability to control my LG TV, B&k Preamp and Comcast cable boxes all over the house. Its easily the most useful phone I've ever had. Add to all that the fact its waterproof and you've got yourself a winner.
  11. This just breaks my heart. I hate seeing suffering children in the Middle East conflict.
  12. Though this statement is true, and the RT-12d is a nice sub, and I rarely comment on a sales ad price(unless it is a great deal), I got a pair of cherry RT-10d's for half that price. Bill I agree 1500 is really high but a lot of people are looking for that bad boy Maybe he will take 900? I did say don't let asking price scare you....is that an offer reference head!?
  13. I know. If I had the $$ I'd be all over it.
  14. No, NOT B stock. I don't want anyone to let the asking price scare you off. If your serious and want to make an offer shoot me a pm. These subs don't come along to often.
  15. Sorry....I revised it. He is open to reasonable offers.
  16. I am posting this for a friend here in Town. I have seen and heard these speakers personally so I can vouch for their appearance and sound. They are in excellent condition. He has them set up at his business so they can be demoed. Asking $2k OBO on the RF-7ii's. The sub is also in excellent condition and can be demoed. He is asking $1500 OBO on the sub. If you are interested please make an offer and lets make a deal! Willing to ship sub at buyers expense.
  17. For those with K-horns it would be great, no doubt. Where is the appeal for the Reference fans in the group? For me it seems like it would be like going out and buying Corvette paraphernalia when I don't own a Corvette. Now, throw some classic RF-7's on a wood board and I'll take two please.
  18. Whoa!! $9 shipping. Ouch. In response to the wood board.
  19. This hoodie has never been worn. It was bought for me as a gift and I don't wear black, or hoodies. It was bought from cafe press I believe for eight at $50. Asking $35 shipped. Send me a pm and make an offer. Thank you!
  20. They are great speakers. Good luck with the sale.
  21. I no longer have a use for this switch. It works great and its in excellent condition. I'm asking $40 shipped. Send me a message if your interested. I added a link in case there is any technical questions. Feel free to make an offer. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-wtTjBPh4fWc/p_543AB22/Russound-AB-2-2.html
