  1. RC-64ii.....my son built a cabinet to pu it in, works pretty well with the t.v. set on top of it
  2. Everybody's pride and joy, looks really good. Plus, the camera skills are remarkable...me, not so much. Here's my RF-83's, and RC-64ii. They are hooked up to an Emotiva xpa-3, with a Harman Kardon 354 being used as a pre.
  3. Yay ! If using Iphoto ......click on the photo you wish to post. On the top of the desktop where it says ..iPhoto File Edit Photos Event Share ..etc... Click on the File tab. Scroll down to Export and click. A new box will open up with the title Export Photos. Click on the export photos. Now you have options for: Kind.....I used JPEG JPEG Quality.......I used medium Size...I used medium At bottom of box click the Export button. Another box will appear asking where to export the selected photo,,,I chose to export to my Desktop for convenience . Now you can follow the instructions on the How To Post Pictures thread. Sorry if I am being Captain obvious, but this was a bit of a pain for me. Thanks for everybody's help and links . Mark
  4. Gonna try this, if it works I will post over at Lets See Your Home Theatre
  5. If I resize a picture, what is the optimum size/ pixel ratio ? I really don't want to start a How To Add a Link thread. Thanks for everyones help and patience. Mark
  6. showoff !,,,just kidding,,,Youthman ,you and photography seem to have some zen like synergy, i think with your Midas touch you could use a coloring book and a battery and have it display. I set up the imageshack account , i will go that route for now, and look into the info you posted for later when I have more time . Thank You, Mark
  7. Oddyssey, Thanks, I just got a few onto an imageshack account. I will post link in profile...........probably have to start a thread,How to post links from a macMark
  8. Tried again,,,the error message says something about exceeding maximum length. Its the first time I have ever been told I have exceeded the maximum length., pity its about posting pictures. Mark
  9. Naw, I can find the save button. When I push it, i get some error messages and cant post. I am not smart enough to operate a p.c., thats why i got the apple stuff. This is the first thing that I have struggled with since converting. Thanks tho, Mark
  10. Welcome Trent As been stated earlier, I think you will be very impressed with the rc64ii,it has a lot of impact for a center speaker.Adjusting your settings should make it blend nicely with what you already have.I run a rc64ii with rf83's and it blends very ,very well. Have fun with your setup Mark
  11. I have made several attempts to post pictures in the last couple months. I have copied the instructions from the How To Post Pictures thread, and followed them as written. When I get to the part about resizing/ editing resolution , it all goes south. Anyone have any advise? Thanks Mark
  12. I believe the auto calibration performs the eq...I glanced thru the manual for the 3600, it is slightly different then my 354..... When I push the audio effects button (under source selections) , I have the option to turn on/off tone control..equalization, and adjust lfe trim....I turn both tone control and the eq off, as to my ears it takes away some clarity. I would check your audio effects and try turning everything off, Also,,,with my 354 , when I am make any manual adjustment to the speaker settings they do not register unless I push the ok button after a change,AND use the back button to exit that set of commands. I really prefer the front speakers set to Large rather than small, as it gives you more options with bass management, however you run two subs, I do not. hope this helps, Mark
  13. Yeah, I will need to unhook the amp, PS3 and UMC-1 and pull it out in front of the false wall to be able to compare how the two sound before I make a decision on which to keep. I received a package tonight from UPS at 9:05pm. Sure hope the HK gets here a little earlier than that. I'm so weak...I'm so weak......[:'(] C'mon now dtel, you know that's half the fun! When I bought the UMC-1, I decided I was finally going to do it right and do some serious cable management. I spent probably an hour routing wires, zip tying them and making sure signal did not cross power cables. Definitely encourage others to take the time to do it. It's well worth the time and effort. when I swapped out my last component , I tried making everything pretty, but a day later, I turned everything on and got the dreaded hum,,,,moved stuff around and it disappeared. Day later it was back....to make a long story short, when our dishwasher ran it introduced the hum, when the dishwasher was off everything was dead silent..I figured out the tv power cord was running over a couple rca's.....everything's a mess behind the equipment again, but its a silent mess.. have fun tonight Mark
  14. As the proud owner of a GM and one of the aforementioned burnouts ,I feel like I need to offer an explanation.....it takes more effort figuring out how to get to the lights than it does to change them. My wrench turning days are a thing of the past but it should not be a major ordeal to get to a headlight or tail light to switch it out, anymore it is. Frustrates the heck out of me when a 2 minute job completely mystifies me.
  15. Good stuff,,,, I am having a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that the people that made Stroh's also made ice cream. Stroh's and scrambled eggs were my "hair of the dog " for quite a few years.
  16. Thanks, that helps seeing one. I went to Radio Shack when I was looking and the guy I talked to just gave me a blank stare when I asked him. I don't think it would have fit on the back of the 354 without routing a bunch of cables over and under it. But it's good to know for future stuff. Mark
  17. I remember reading about them changing the amp section to which really reduced the weight. I was curious about how much cooler they ran. The only complaint I have with the 354 is that it runs pretty warm . mark
  18. ^ yep, plug it directly into the back of the receiver.River is right about the lights being bright ,however it's nothing a strip of electrical tape won't cover. Rich Guy, when I was looking for a solution to turning my amps on with a trigger,I looked up wall warts and couldn't find any products. Is there a technical name for those to use in a search? Mark
  19. 14 gauge speaker wire should be more than adequate .
  20. Hi Eric, Welcome to the forum.<14 gauge wire should be more than adequate . have fun with your new speakers! Mark
  21. I emailed Tom with some questions yesterday , got a response last night. Pretty amazing costumer service. I am ordering the xv-15 next month, and will post my thoughts when I get it hooked up. Thanks for the help guys. Mark
  22. Congratulations Youthman! It does have a switched 120v outlet so you can use a "wall wart" trigger or better yet pick up a Belkin PF-60 power conditioner which has a very nice built in wall wart type trigger system which works very well. I just ordered and hooked up an Emotiva ET-3 , which is a trigger expansion module. This works well , and has the added advantage of allowing me to put on another pound or two. It was grueling having to get up to turn everything off or on =) Mark
