  1. Sorry Ref, I've heard no scuttlebutt, only the same things everyone else has heard
  2. Jason STR can build me a T HT and I thought maybe that is the route to go. I just wish I could hear one in person.
  3. I would love nothing more than to add another sub. Waiting till I have the jack saved at this point. Been posting on AVS and searching search tempest for another pb12 ultra/2 but will probably wind up adding a pb13 ultra. Maybe on oct 10th SVS will come out with something no one can do without and I will come into a plethora of PB13 for sale.
  4. Okay good, my thoughts were the same as all the above, only much more rudimentary then some. especially with SVS designing the sub, "they know best on proper placement of it" I'll keep it in my corner placement downfiring like it's supposed to be. Thanks for all the info Klipsch Bros!
  5. Good evening gentlemen, I currently have an SVS PB 12 ultra/2 . I had someone tell me yesterday that I should turn the unit upside down take the bottom plate off and let the subs play upward into the air and also point the portals into my room. By the look on my face he could tell I thought he was crazy. I did not do either but curious if there is any advantage to doing either? I have never heard or read anything like that, but that doesn't mean diddly!
  6. Just watched Transformers 4 tonight. A BUTTLOAD of great LFE in this movie. The Klipsch speakers really shined, all the little subtle nuances show through even with disaster happening everywhere. Long movie, two hours and 45 minutes. Sad thing is, I kept wishing I had a sub for every corner. But I will settle for another opposite the one I have! (He said as his wife was right next to him lying in bed glaring at him as he dictate texted)

  8. You have to try Heights & Wides for yourself; forget what others do. I definitely will try the Wides and heights but just won't be in a hurry to purchase speakers thinking I've been missing out all this time. Who knows maybe I'll think it's the "cats pajamas" My god somebody stop me I've turned into my father on that last reference!
  9. thanks everybody, I was worried that I was missing something now that I see some longtime members are fine with 7.2 that's what I think I'm going to stick with. now I just have to put together some dough to get one or nine more subs
  10. Good evening all, I've been wanting to try Wides in my system. I was considering moving my RB 81ii's from surround back to use as Wides. I was also thinking of getting RB 61ii's to replace them. If the RB 61ii would work as surround back could I also add RB 61s as Heights? or would I be better off sticking with the 81s for surround back and height and wide? I would love to timbre match my RF 7ii and use a pair of them as Wides but that's just not going to happen Anyone have any suggestions on what I should use. I will not be putting this info into action for a while because I am still wanting a second sub but just curious on how to plan . I'm hoping some of the new line Klipsch comes out with will have Atmos ceiling channels or I will be asking for suggestions on which speaker to use for them as well. while were on that subject should I wait a generation of AVR before switching to an Atmos enabled AVR? is it like a new car model you want to wait until they work the bugs out? any and all suggestions appreciated, thanks a lot, have a good evening.
  11. Some of my favorite bikes from Exile cycles, always dreamed of flying to California and driving one back home. Maybe someday!
  12. While this is true, a small fan that draws hot air out through the sides is a vey worthwhile investment(25.00). Bill I agree, willand gave me a link for one I bought for my B and K 200.7.
  13. Tim, It definitely appears to be a good deal. Just a word of caution or better, let me suggest to you that you verify(you verify) that all HDMI inputs and outputs are operating properly. This model falls in the years with the common HDMI issues. Thanks for the headsup willand, that will be the next question I ask him before I even drive down to check it out.
  14. This AVR is on craigslist in my area for 250 bucks. i've been looking for an AVR that is more customizable and has a better set up then YPAO. i've also been wanting to try DSX and use my rear surround channels as Wides and see how that sounds. Anyone have any opinions if this is a good cheaper way to try this?
  15. I have to agree with Tron Legacy, it's the movie I had waiting for me when I got home and hooked up my sub. also the dark night I'm not sure which chapter but where they go underneath Gotham with the mayor when he is arrested, that whole chapter is amazing. I about jumped out of the couch when the shotgun goes off at the beginning of the chapter. Man of steel also had a lot of really great moments I especially like when he was trying to learn to fly in the Arctic and would land on the ice.
  16. apparently I don't know how to even post!
