...and I have special glasses for Riesling! Hi everyone, just stopping by before heading into work for a couple days. I will try to get some vinyl listening in soon. Looks like all is under good control around here 🍷.
I have some special Riesling glasses as wellThey are over 40 years old and I received them from a German wine merchant that introduced me to Riesling
I will take a photo of them in the morning

This album turned 50 years old a few months ago
released on 23 March 1973
I believe a 50th anniversary reissue is now available
But my 1973 release is a US promo copy in NM condition and sounds fantastic
Artist - King Crimson
Title - Larks' Tongues In Aspic

I am testing to compare my pressing with @AndreG.
In my 1975 UK first press I can’t hear what you have described
The only section that I may find a little flutter in the lower register of the flute section of that track, but that’s what a flute does when one tries to go deep into the lower register
Artist - Steve Hackett

Look at kitchen cabinet suppliesThey have small coin size self adhesive tabs in many colours
They are used for times when one removes or replaces fixtures and screw holes are visible
Just make sure it’s a flat surface

I like the harmonica in this song
And you may notice that on certain harmonica sections the sound is unique - Now my memory on this is because the harmonica was tweaked internally to give it that unique tone
Enjoy

I might just try the plumbers rope, I have some I could experiment with
It’s an old method that has gone out of favour but plumbers hemp rope threads are finer than human hair and thats why I thought it was ideal or at the very least worth the experiment- 1

Are you able to re tap the thread on the cone screws and insert to rejuvenate them
I know of the carbon trick and I have also used ground steel scale and that also works
If I can make a suggestion on another method even if it’s an experiment
Try plumbers hemp rope
Or non dry putty one that never hardens

I have not worked out yet is the felt washer that goes around the arm post on the top of the T frame. It is an oil keeper felt prevents oil from migrating out of the shaft and holds the oil for the shaft to remain lubricated.
My Garrard 401 has a felt oil ring washer and it’s still good as new
It is original fitted 1965/1966

The Goal, restore to original factory condition, and original specifications mechanically. Then enjoy my first ever high end piece of gear.

oh the work ahead....
That would be great and will be looking forward to see updatesYou could also fit a different arm if you can’t restore it

The simple takeaway from the post above
Looks to me as cheating
The win at all cost is a flawed concept
If one team can’t win on their merit then “try again and again “ until you are at that level to do so
