Shop clean up continues. Some of what I sell is here because I just wanted to hear them in my environment and once I have done so away they go. At least I can say I have heard them and have an opinion based on experience and not conjecture or second hand. These I bought for that reason primarily and secondarily for the K-43's in them which if you have ever tried to find any used are a royal pain. I don't intend to build any La Scala's so I don't care about having the 43's here. $275 pick up only. I haveum you wantum we meetum. Forgot to mention these will be here for two weeks and then be turned into components for sale.

  3. The KP101's I have are square boxed and not trapezoidal and I bought them with shipping for around $150.00 a couple of years ago. Looking around today they have gone up like all other Klipsch seems to be doing and deals are getting harder to find. I have a pair of them for my computer speakers in the house and they make for very pleasant low level listening.

Long day so just now back and yes 63 miles south of Nashville.
  5. The 301's are good for sure and I think the 301 II's are slightly better.
  6. These would give those 301's a run for their money. Although if I succumb to temptation and stick a new tweeter horn lens in the 301 it may leap ahead. Kind of hesitate to do that for sale but might just for the heck of it to see and take them back out.
  7. later today. BTQBTDWPA (buy them quick before they disappear when pictures arrive)

If you saw the mountain of stuff I am tripping over you would have to laugh at the insanity that has taken root here. Anyway these cam from Coulter originally and have been recapped and one mid driver needed replacing and was replaced. They are a fine set and I might just try out one of my new larger tweeters in these. The price will go up if I do but until then they are $775.00
  9. I have held these for a customer for almost a year and enough is enough. They are in TOP shape and came from JC a while back. Another set up for sale but before I list them on EBay I thought I would see about anyone here. $800.00 and no I wont sell for less.
  10. I have two woofers two heavy duty cast 400 horn equivalents two crossovers and one cabinet. Get it all for $350. Scrap man calleth these too and I will junk the cabinet and list drivers on EBay within the week. The woofers look like the old square magnet K-33's and yesIi have the old Atlas drivers for the horns. I think I do and will have to dig and make sure. One of you guys just needs to make a trip here and buy it all.

OK here is another set going away. They are in very nice shape but no grille and they need to go. $300.00 I will be parting these out too within the week or two so anyone who is interested in a really fine set of K-42-KP's these may soon be available. Very hard to find woofers if you need them. This also has a very nice mid range KP-65-E driver and K-604 tractix horn and this pair will be for sale also. Any interest?
  12. Nope. OK folks anyone interested in a pair of K-43-K's? The spec sheet says that's whats in there and I will confirm that later today as these are quickly going to be heading to the burn pile. Hate to do it and would rather sell them complete but the junk has to go.
  13. OK that is the same mounting method as the MTM I have. Yes it can be done. Those tapped holes look really rough you might want to re tap them before you put it back together.
  14. Another question just popped into my mind Bob. Would steel screws in the back side of these DE120's make any difference in their characteristics?
  15. OK finally got around to checking and a steel screw it was. Thanks for the tip.
  16. OMG MDF hahahaha! HAHAHAHA!!
  17. Can you send me a picture of the mouth of the horn assembly? That looks a lot like the MTM on my system and I have wondered how four DE120's would sound over four K-77's. Probably could get away with two of those DE120's. To answer your original question though no it would have to be a purpose built device of some sort. Now you have me thinking and it might be possible to build a clamp or adapter plate that would use those four screws to bolt into the manifold and then figure out how to tie it all together. Oh I also need to see the top if you can remove the driver to see how it mounts in there.
  18. Well the Super MWM is a bass bin derivative that instead of being 44" deep is 60" deep and goes probably 15hz lower. Look for the Super MWM thread for more info on this forum.
  19. Absolutely getting rid of the K-77 has made an improvement for me even when using the APT50. If you take your hands and cup your ear while listening to music with my hearing I can hear things like cymbals I don't hear otherwise. To me switching the K77's out meant not only was the shrill gone but now things sounded like I had my hands cupped over my ears and I could hear those little subtle bits again without having my hands cupping my ears. So for me it drew me closer to the concept of Paul Klipsch where things needed to sound natural. Everyone has their personal favorite concept of perfect sound though and it is why I sell my reworked speakers as pick up only.
  20. I have a pair of Chorus I's in my shop right now with recapped crossovers a tweeter upgrade and there is no way any of the stock Cornwalls that have come through here would touch it. Now I suppose the same upgrades could be done to the Cornwall but for my taste the bass in the Chorus is more precise and sounds less like a boomy Cornwall box to me.
  21. Thanks for looking. Maybe I should have put K-77 and or K-79 in there to bring it to the top which I now have. I guess it is an indicator that the volume of things listed rapidly buries you. When I listed I searched after listing for MAHL it was right at the top so I figured it was all good. Strange I just tried MAHL and mahl and there they were on the first page. I am using Firefox but I don't imagine that makes much if a difference.
