  1. The Woodford Reserve is helping that cause tremendously....
  2. Having a Van Morrison afternoon after a morning spent remodeling the bathroom. Remodeling the bathroom continues tomorrow. Cincy
  3. Steely Dan. Aja beautiful music to slide on down to Friday evening Cincy
  4. Those sliders are triple pane sealed panels. I think the drywall would vaporize before the doors shattered! The subwoofer will rattle the whole room if something explodes while watching a movie. Those Khorns were rebuilt by Dave Harris of Fastlane audio. Dave took down his website recently or I'd post a link to the page he had showing the rebuild. I think I'm the third owner since the rebuild. They're very good looking and sound nice with the the modifications Dave made. Cincy
  5. The factory has enclosed the back of Khorns on the 60th and 70th anniversary editions. I think I read here that all Khorns with the new bass bin design will be enclosed as well. That being said, I agree with you.
  6. Actually, a pair will need two corners! There are ways around this. Enclosing the backs, building corners. Having a relatively large room with high ceilings helps too. First set of speakers I've ever had where I thought about turning down the bass. Didn't do it though.
  7. My first set of Klipsch speakers were F2's. Really didn’t like them. La Scalas were next. Liked those very much. Now it’s H3's and Khorns. Khorns are very good.
  8. Wow, Our House, really sounds nice.. Might have to shift from my Steely Dan summer to CSN&Y. They were my favorites back when I had hair.. Cincy
  9. I’ll catch up as soon as Joe finishes the flip side. Feelin alright
  10. What side are you spinning? Cincy

  15. Hello!!!! Long time no post, CSN, at their best, Cincy PS.. I’m listening to this through the set of Heresy III's I bought to support the Klipsch Heritage Museum. I think Chief Bonehead sprinkled fairy dust on these things...
  16. Well, I’ve been married for almost 40 years so you must be referring to a younger pup.
  17. Wow, all this over a pair of H III. Just aim the darn things so the mids and tweeters don’t aim directly at your ears. Questions? Read PWK. Good Lord........
  18. Do you have a link to the stands you bought?
  19. https://critesspeakers.com/heresy-slant-risers.html there you go. Maybe not as pretty as the Klipsch risers but my Heresy III didn’t come with stands as I bought them through the Klipsch Museum sale. However, they are signed, “Chief Bonehead” and that has to be worth something !
  20. Just put mine on stands from Bob Crites tonight. I think they really help. Running mine with a Decware Rachel 5 watts per channel SET amp. Joni Mitchell on vinyl sounds just as it should, angelic. M
  21. Listening to my Heresy IIIs seriously for the the first time tonight. I’m totally surprised by how good they sound in direct comparison to my La Scalas. I think the Heresy III fit my small listening space better. Much larger soundstage and just as smooth in the midrange as my La Scalas. Their small size lends itself to more precise location than the larger Heritage offerings. These are serious speakers. Oh, just to be clear, my Khorns are in a league of their own. However, that’s a different room and story! Hope this helps anyone who has a smaller listening space but wants to hear the vaunted Klipsch Heritage Sound. Heresy III's will not disappoint you. Mark
  22. We went from winter to summer in about a week. Spent this morning getting the pontoon boat ready to go in the lake tomorrow. Seems like the job takes longer with every passing year. Cooling off, sipping some Woodford Reserve, listening to Steely Dan's Katy Lied. It's my least played Steely Dan album. Not sure why.
  23. Just in the La Scala vinyl room, Dire Straights, Brothers in Arms, 2 album set with the same recordings as the CD. Guess the original album shortened a few songs to fit the medium. In particular the sax solo at the beginning of Your Latest Trick.
  24. That's a nice deck.
