My RS-3's arrived today all the way from San Francisco...and I gotta say they are in beautiful condition.

We might talk then. With me being unable to get back to school this year a good project would be good to keep me out of trouble.

I'm in the Quad Cities.

Until I work out my finances for October, nothing.
As for shipping...I'd estimate between $55 to $75. Yikes.

Not hardly, I just dug out a copy of Jethro Tull's "Thick as a Brick" and am planning to chill for the next few hours...

You are both confused, it will be THX-RF-7-3-Ultra.
Jason was the closest.
Ok guys....truth is the reason for the holdup is Klipsch sent me a pair of RF7iii Ultra's to do some beta testing and I've been having so much fun with them, I've been slow at sending them an analysis of the speakers.

Actually I just thought of it, it'll be a combination of all their lines together and they'll call it the "Bob Series"
-
Realistically could you even differentiate - let alone hear frequencies down to 10 Hz?

Clean bass in a car...
There's too much stuff that can rattle in a car.

No, it'll be the La-THX-RF-7-III-Ultra-esey...
-
Perhaps we will see some rf-83ii or even a monsterous rf-93 (a lesser version of the palladium pf-39)
RF-7 III

I've not yet ventured into the world of speaker mods, but from what I've read - they're killer updates. That's what makes me even more sad. lol

Too bad no one accepts payment plans. lol

Lol he joined avs 3 days ago and has 6 posts. All of the posts are about how good klipsch new speakers are. Sounds like a klipsch salesmen to me.
Either that, or he's talking out his arse...

I'm sorry to say, but I totally disagree with that review. That's a really bold statement to make that I don't think many of us would agree with. I'll accept to each their own, but I personally don't find the new reference line to even touch the RF-7's - old or new.

I second what Derrick said man, those are some killer speakers to let go. At any rate, if you can't get it worked out - best of luck. I'd take them off your hands if I had the cash they'd work well with my 3's.

I see the bait thread has been taken...

i just checked with my doctor … not crapping can cause health problems.
Over crapping is also known to be a medical disorder.

Great information Derrick, I'll look into finding some of those papers - I love a good read.
Thanks!

I have a question!...
How is this related to 2-Channel Home Audio?
-
I see. That certainly leaves me pondering with my options. Thanks for that!

Will do you just go by ear, or are there certain things that you look at? I've always gone with what my ears tell me when selecting the speakers to build my systems around. What's the other 1% instance (as in your 5.4 setup)?

Thanks guys, and yeah! I'm just happy I found a pair that fit in the budget...I'll be doing it all over again in October for either B-Set Speakers or Presence Speakers. Either way I'm pretty pumped for that, gotta behave though until then.
