Had a friend stop by the house last night that started fawning over the Apple release....especially Apple TV "You can do games and apps and streaming of shows and movies" blah blah blah Showed him my Android TV box that I've had for over a year with KODI on it.....he was speechless as we started watching Avengers : Age of Ultron

So you have 6 kids you are braver than us, we gave up with 3 girls. I would think when the last one flies off you and the wife should plan a trip, or something ? Yes....4 girls...2 boys.....19, 18, 16, 13, 3 and 18months It'll be a good while before the last one leaves...

Morning all. Rough day yesterday but soothed it all over by putting some time on the new TDK cans....pretty impressed with them so far. I think I'm gonna pick up a small headphone amp for them. Neighbor still trying to talk the wife into the HT setup......I've used it more to "audition" for him in the past two weeks than I've used it in the past 6 months. Other neighbor just got back from visiting family in Kentucky...brought me over a bottle of W.L. Weller 17year......it's quite tasty.....will be reserved for "Tunes Time" sipping. Oldest back at Georgia Southern today...sent her home with about 7 pounds of smoked pulled pork....her roommates all texted me a big "Thank-You"!! Makes me feel good. Second Oldest text me this morning that she made over $100 in tips last night.....not bad for Steak-n-Shake.... Happy to be providing the economy with hard working members of society....only four more left to release into the world....

morning all Had a fantastic weekend...lots of people in St. Augustine this weekend...and probably the best firework show I've seen outside of NYC NYE. Score of the weekend (I think)..... Ran to TJ Maxx with the wife on Saturday. I usually find myself browsing through the kitchenware and t-shirts. I found myself looking at the kiosk of earbuds and noticed what appeared to be a very nice box at the bottom covered with other stuff. I dug it out and found that it was a set of TDK ST800 headphones. The build quality is really nice on these and they have a nice little in-line EQ/amp that runs on 2 AAA batteries. I'm looking them over and grab my phone and look them up and find that they originally had a MSRP of $300. I turn the box over and the price tag said $29.99 Wife looked at me like I had seven heads when I tossed them into the cart. Got them home and ran them on my laptop for 24 hours to burn them in. Listened to them for a good 4 hours last night.....I think they sound outstanding....and for $30....I'm super happy.

No Name is one of our favorites. Nice big deck overlooking the Fort.....great people watching....and usually good live music. Best kept secret down there is the American Legion right across for The Bridge of Lions.....$2 drafts and a $8 fried shrimp basket with fries that'll knock you socks off....

Yeah....I'm sure it'll be massively packed this weekend. Tons going on down there for the 450th Birthday Celebration. Gonna hit up The Saint Augustine Distillery for our daily tour/tasting....then to San Sabastian Winery for their tour and grab a few bottles for the wife.....then off to Mi Casa, Tradewinds, Local Heros, No Name Bar, Dos Gatos and a few other places for live music and cold beverages with a group of friends looking forward to it!!!

Glad to hear Jackson is home...been in my thoughts and prayers as of late.... Guy hasn't been able to convince his wife on the HT setup yet...gonna give it a little more time since he has literally come down two more times to watch/listen (and maybe partake in a few cold beverages.....I've got a previous "Jack" drinker now hooked on Tom Sims 6 year..) Had a good conversation with my son last night about the Civic....he wants to help work on it but it's not what he really wants....he wants a K5 blazer like the one I sold after getting divorced....guess I never knew that he loved it so much (not that I would have given him a 535hp vehicle at 16)....so we'll get it all fixed up and sell it to fund another K5 build.....can do squarebody Chevys in my sleep...lol

Discussed it with my fornication source over the weekend and we've decided to go ahead and have the whole car done....some dings dents and such repaired and complete repaint....I'm going to do the majority of the body work with my friend doing the chassis work and spraying the car for me....he thinks I can get it all done for under $1000 Car has super low miles on it and is now running like a top averaging 34mpg.....may make it a father/son project and fix it up for him to take in 2 years when he turns 16

Car update Just got a text from my body shop friend.....over the weekend he told me not to order any parts until he gets a quote from his source for panels... I had found a guy on ebay and he quoted me Hood - $150, Fenders - $45 x 2, Radiator support - $80, Headlight Housings - $60, SHipping - $20...so $400 Friend just text me saying he can get it all at his jobber rates for $300...

quite happy that I know I'll never need to own one of those....lol

I have a Yamaha YSP-5100 Sound Projector (actually looking to sell it). It's a bit more than your typical soundbar. It does a fantastic job and recreating 5.1 surround. Most of your typical sound bars are basically 2.0 setups.

Chuck, so sorry to hear about the misfortune.....my wife and I went through that before having our second youngest....it's a rough emotional issue to deal with...prayers for your family's healing Luther....wow...that's all I can say....astonishing craftsmanship So went to the Jaguar game Friday with a group of about 10-12 guys....had a blast and very ready for the season to start Spent Saturday inside due to rain storms....got some Honey Do Lists items completed and started taking the Sony v444es apart to see what's blown. Watched Southpaw Saturday night......REALLY good movie Got up yesterday and ran codes on Civic...got p1758 and p1298.....so seemed like the lockout solenoid was bad. Ran to local pick-a-part junkyard and got soaked while pulling the part...but got it and a few other misc. parts and was out the door for $50....new was $175...so saved some cash there. Got home and installed it and it still was throwing code P1298...so onto the trusty internet I go....seems it's common for the #15 7.5a fuse to blow when that solenoid goes out. Pulled the fuse....sure enough...replaced the fuse and VICTORY So she's a little banged up but running fine....drove to work today in my demolition derby car.....ordering body parts soon....buddy said I can use his shop mid month for a few days.... Watched Straight Outta Compton last night....was decent.... Back to the grind today....need to que up some tunes....long day of detail technical designs documentation that due end of week

Meanwhile out in crazy California........ I had a taco and beer with an old friend on Wednesday afternoon. He talked about and showed me pictures of his daughter and her 5 soon to be 6 kids. He said when they're out together someone will say something like "are all those yours?". And she of course says "Yes" And then they say something like "your destroying the earth" What a bunch of nutjobs. Yeah....we get a lot of "Are you guys crazy?! Why didn't you just adopt or foster?!!" I just smile and say "They were accidents" and walk away....first time I did it my wife about fell down laughing (btw...they were not accidents...lol)

She's a keeper. Definitely got it right the second time around.....
