One of my recently posted CL ads produced a goofy response just yesterday. I had, as always, included my phone # for contact, and clicked "No replies to this email". The email response: "Would like to come pick up today anytime.. Phone number listed didn't work" With no phone # given, I would've had to email this person back. What's the net result? They connect my phone # with my personal email address? Any harm in this?

Thanks Ellisr63, Never a call on the cell & I made sure all of our phone numbers are "registered" on the Do Not Call List - to no avail. Robo dialers and computer generated numbers allow for them to continue the practice without much chance of catching up with them. Penalties for violating the Do Not Call List were / are $11,000 per infraction. No teeth to that legislation, or so it seems.

These are cinema type sound system. Each cabinet has a subwoofer, horn, and tweeter. These cabinets sound amazing! Out of all the sound equipment I got I was going to keep two of these for myself and just sell one of them (I actually have qty. 3 available if a third would be wanted).. However I'm just trying to get some space back.. All cabinets are in great condition! If you dont know much of Klipsch Lascala sound system you should look them up... as these give amazing sound quality! Would be great for use in a home entertainment room! Wow, looks like you just kept getting hit by the snow bands - hope you have a 2 stage snow thrower ! That is the norm for us to the West when Lake MIchigan contributes heavily to lake effect snows that your area never sees. My driveway is only "slightly" slushy, with 4-5 inches of wet heavy snow on the grass - roads are wet only here. I'm thankful that shovels or snowblower activation isn't needed - YET Jim

Irrelevant. Moral decisions may be made within amoral systems...like capitalism or communism...but the system itself remains amoral. Dave Any "system" is incapable in determining between right & wrong, so by definition, ALL systems must be amoral in nature. Maybe that explains why we set up these systems in the first place - to act - without being encumbered with "moral" decision making.

Back to topic - A $15 minimum wage, nationally instituted, will undoubtedly create more issues than it attempts to solve - regardless of any well meant intentions of such an implementation.

Establishing an "ethical code" of conduct for any profession is something that is done to establish a basic premise from which to operate. It does nothing to ensure that those within the profession will either know the "code", or operate ethically under it. Having recently completed 20 hours of real estate ethics training for license renewal, I can tell you that those test questions are quickly forgotten by agents. Think about this another way - there is no way the general populous could know all of the current laws that govern us. It comes down to you should know between right & wrong & negligence of the law offers no excuse.

As for the original question, NOPE, the national minimum wage should not be increased to $15 / hr. Abolish the ACA - now there is one that I'd personally like to see, but only because of how it affects me.

Agreeing to abide by a "code" doesn't imply a thorough knowledge "of" said code. Which, then, would allow for amoral actions in breaking the code.
