  1. So i have come across a great deal on a pair of CF-2s. Would it be worth it to use one as a center for my CF-4s? I currently have the matching KV-4. Ideally, I would like to place a CF-4 in the middle. If anyone out there has a single CF-4 version 1 they want to part with, let me know.

  2. So last night i switched the wire at the amp and it equalized the speakers.  My only thought is that the speakers are off by a little bit and so are the channels on the amp so combining the two only made the problem worse. This evening I am going to physically switch the left and right speaker. If this solves the issue I will be happy.

  3. My left channel needed to be adjusted on my receiver to be 4.5DB higher than my right. Could the horns be that sensitive? It isn't the room placement, because when I walked up to the speakers one was clearly quieter than the other until I adjusted them. I thought I was going deaf in my left ear. Could there be something going on with my crossover? I still need to switch left and right speakers to see if its an amp issue.

    Thanks!

  4. I am going to bring this topic back to life. Having owned all 3 of the speakers I rank them in this order.

    1. Khorn (still own) Hands down my favorite for 2 channel music. No other speaker comes close in my opinion to the wide open sound.

    2. CF-4 V1 (still own) The CF-4s just get everything right for home theater and image like no other.

    3. RF-7II (Sold) These were too bright to my ears. My ears would always be bothering me after a good movie.

For fun I will throw a few others into the ranking that I have also owned.

    1. Khorn

    2. Palladium P-37

    3. CF-4

    4. La Scala II

    5. Forte

    6. Chorus

    7. La Scala

    8. RF-7II

    9. CF-3 V1

    10. The Sixes

    11. KG 4.2

  5. I have heard both the Cornscala and the Model 19s. Skip the Cornscala and go with the Altec. The model A7 that moray mentioned is similar but not the same animal. Even though it has the same horn it does not have the same crossover or drivers. I looked at buying a pair of A7s for the home and GPA told me flat out not to because that is not what they were ever designed for and that I should get the 19s.
