  1. Wow if you were Sacramento area Id have to buy those. That's a great price! Glws
  2. Ok so I have crites ct125 tweeter, the critrs a4500 xover, and the new 55k or whatever the mid driver crites has a replacement now (and it sounds good). But with the 2" horn I feel like I need a 2" driver. Sounds like go with a reasonable price 2" driver and invest in the extreme slope xovers from cover, Upgrade bug, I know, but this is the support group right??
  3. Ive attached response curves. The left is the JBL the right is the Selenium. The Selenium looks smoother?
  4. Looking at upgrading the mid driver on my Belle Klipsch. Looking at the JBL 2446h and the Selenium. Price difference is drastic at 840 per on the JBL vs 300 per for the Selenium. Its going in a volti tractrix horn. Going to get the extreme slope xovers as well. My technical knowledge is moderate and Im trying to see what qualifies the major price difference....
  5. Thanks for info! I've decide to keep them. I cant get WFA subs out in the open. Gotta keep these behind the couch..

  7. Tube buffer. Preamp minus the phono stage, although I think Aric might be able to add the phono stage if needed.
  8. Picked up a McIntosh Mc275 VI and am running them on Crites/Volti modded Belles and have ZERO noise floor. I did notice when I switched to some older NOS GE 5751 blackplates that there was some initial noise until the tubes heated up. On new production tubes it has absolutely no noise whatsoever when nothing is being played....Just FYI from a different type of amp...
  9. I've moved onto McIntosh Mc275 and don't need this at all. It's a great tube buffer/preamp and Aric at Aricaudio has awesome service. I'm selling everything for $500 buyer pays shipping.
  10. If you are looking and find a clean pair under 1500 I'd jump on it.
  11. I would be interested to see some scientific evidence showing that there is a change in the sound coming out of a system over time as the tubes warm up. I think obviously 5 to 10 minutes to warm up but after that are there really any changes? I think more often than not it is the persons hearing that is getting accustomed to the sound....
  12. I did a "best offer" of $75 and got it. So I guess I feel a little better...
  13. Came across this on ebay. www.ebay.com/itm/222480077531 Is this a rebrand or legit NOS? Can't find any real reviews online...
  14. Update. $700 shipped to CONUSA for everything listed
  15. An excellent question sir. I got a screaming deal on it and am looking to get something that I really want like the mc275. If no takers then I'll just put it into use and sell my marantz.
  16. This is a BRAND NEW SEALED in box McIntosh MX151 preamp receiver. Feel free to ask any questions. Asking $6000. Shipping included to the continental USA. I have references from fellow forum members that have purchased from me in the past if needed. I am located in Northern CA for local pickup and willing to ship if needed. Have receipts as well. UPDATE: I can crack it open and take pictures of everything. Just thought it might be more appealing for the buyer if it is completely virgin and untouched. It has full warranty for 3 years from 4/14/2017. Would consider a trade for a newer MC275
  17. I'm looking to sell the whole getup. I don't have the time for the hobby any more. No original boxes for the bugle boys. The print on the tube is decent but not great. In the first pic you can see the bugle boy and amperex on the tube.
