  1. Actually I took one of them to UPS/usps shop. They weighed it and multiplied by 4. They added in a box, padding and some who knows what. I told them to use 90210 [CA] to get a $ figure. If you wish to take on the job that would be fine. Do you still want them?
  2. 4 working k78 drivers. These are basically k77 drivers with 16 ohm impedance. These are two matched pairs. Seem to work as intended. $140 plus shipping. These do not weigh much and I would estimate something like $20
  3. Shipping $25. You do know these are B & C DE 110-8 brand new?
  4. Will see about posting a pic or two. Nothing visible in the way of scratches etc. Will ship you pay cost. This thing is really heavy. I had it matched to a pair of RF 82ii and it was perfect. Gone TSCM and want a horn center.
  5. Coytee: Unsure if the # . I have a pair of TSCM and am looking for a center that will mate up with my TSCM horns.
  6. I suggest you arrange a swap with Jessee. Jessee it is about $40 for shipping 8. These guys are heavy.
  7. Send address to whunkins@yahoo.com which is also my Paypal address, Will get shipping today- these do not weigh much and should not be very expensive.
  8. 4 new replacement compression drivers for K77 driver. Requires adapter to fit some mounts. [Specs available on the net] $100 for the set.
  9. Clean, fair/good condition RC-7 center speaker. [front grill fasteners have been replaced w/magnetic fasteners.] North TX. Any reasonable offer. Thinking $250?
  10. Recently removed from TSCM bins. Spring loaded connections.
  11. I have 4 good condition K-55-V and 4 K-55-M for $25 each if anyone wants them.
  12. 8 clean good condition functioning mid-range drivers from Klipsch TSCMs for sale. 4 working Klipsch K-55-V and 4 working K-55-M. Thinking selling as groups of 2 or more. $50 for two. I am also looking for a Jubilee type top hat if anyone has one.

Looking for a top hat for a TSCM bin or Jubilee to make like a center. Anyone have a line on a single please let me know. I have been watching E-Bay and Craigslist and a couple of other sites and not seen anything. I also got into them and find my crossover is not like the one commonly published here. Also the tweeters are a K 78 and the forum seems to have never heard of them. Physically they look remarkably like a K77. [square magnet version] Would really like to know about replacements? Will the K77 replacements fit? Any one want a schematic for the crossover let me know.
  14. When you add the reflective corner you basically turn the speaker into a TSCM. I would assume the bin would work in the same way.
  15. Looking for a single tophat to use as a center. Do you have pics?
  16. Just finished building a home theater around the TSCM. They are clearly better than the La Belle and related klipshorns etc. LOVE them. But..... each speaker w/tophat has a total of 7 speakers plus a very old set of crossovers. Major cost to make them like new. [Worth every penny]
  17. Been looking for a local top hat.... so far have not seen any.
  18. After a huge investment of time and precious metal I have nearly finished my built-from-scratch home theater. Mains are TSCMs with a pair of RF 81ii for the center. The surrounds are RS 62ii and RS 51ii. Rears are RB81s and there are 4 [currently unused] ceiling ATMOS speakers. Amp is Top of line Marantz set up for 9.2. One of most important items is the length of the HDMI and Ethernet lines. I had trouble with lower performance lines as short as 10 feet. Anything over 10-15 feet mandates top of the line cabling. Especially important if you plan to stream 4k TV. I used special drywall with additional sound absorptive paint. Has worked well to limit the reflections. Heavy carpet with thick pads have limited the floor reflections. For you Klipsch Pro fans the TSCMs were pricey but have totally out performed a pair of Cornwalls. Looks like overkill; but, no one says you have to turn them up. In my theater I must be running them at 2 % of capacity and they absolutely sound great. I have tried almost every conceivable surround combination and frankly my ears can not tell the difference between the RS 62s and the RS 51s when used as surrounds. Actually any other quality speaker for that matter having tried at least 6 other combinations. The mains and center have made a huge difference however.
  19. Final: On the theater, all is in and working; down to final wiring cleanup and bundling. Now on to the TUBA. Lots of lessons learned about a home theater. Any way thanks to all those who assisted in the process. One general suggestion: Use only top spec Ethernet and HDMI cables since distance is a serious problem with lessor cables and whenever possible limit the number of connectors since they can cause impedance bumps and are sources of signal degradation; far better a single long wire then several shorter ones with connectors. As TV bandwidths grow this is an ever increasing problem.
  20. The theater is fully functional now after several wiring glitches. Ended up bi-amping the TSCMs and using the Marantz speaker balancing. A few minor mods to my ear and I absolutely love it. As good as any home sound system I have heard. The $ spent on the TSCMs was a really good investment. Time to start building my TUBA HT.

Thanks for the comment. The theater is still a work in process but we did get the projector working from a blue ray disc. I still need to update the crossovers and get my new 85 inch TV. A new top of the line blue ray is coming along with my 4 recliner primary seating. Getting made a bar to go behind the recliners for 4 stools. Still chasing a game table and pool table. A lot of work but hope to have the theater basically completed by Thanksgiving.
  22. The "timber" of the 81 perfectly matches the 83 in my opinion. Seems to me two of them is almost like a third 83 less the extreme bass.
  23. Thanks for what sounds like good advice. Good stuff but a bit more expensive than Guerrilla glue and a lot more than the white glue used the first time. However I have been told by others that an absolute seal is critical.
  24. This one was a 24 the first time it was together; suspect that will be what it turns out to be when I put it back together. This time I will use real glue.
