  1. Good stuff between you two thread originals! Mike I'm just glad I got to see them the one time the Outlaws opened. They did "Cities on Flame" and of course "Godzilla" with him stomping completely around the mezzanine. Not as much of their older greats as they did in that 90s setlist up there.
  2. They changed it up a little. It's theirs they can if they want. Ten years ago, I'd pay to see them again!
  3. Thanks guys. You are so right, especially after I drove up there. Apparently they don't do that here. I am well aware of the perforation risk. Wouldn't risk offending the ones helping me! It's moved but this one has the longevity record too.
  4. I've got a release of those two and it does have Stormy Monday Albert talks about him and Janice and Jimi *(don't change my words, google) doing it. I think up New York State years ago. I like the funk that Albert brings along with all his music.
  5. I wish they would Willie! They aren't going to do the cystoscope and grappling hook either, they want me to and say I can pass it. Well they need to quit with this tramadol that painkiller stinks. I'd rather have Bayer aspirin.
  6. So I feel like I'm in that groundhog movie. Spent yesterday in a clinic and got some weak pain RX for the 5x6 mm kidney stone on my left side. That one is the record for me. At the hospital in Roanoke today and apparently they are not going to go in and get it with the cystoscope. So at least I've got good pain stuff today... Looks like I'm in for the night here too. Gotta run the young doc is coming back.
  7. Even their banter on that release is good @Marvel does your copy have matchbox on it?
  8. I KNOW that was a blast, we were all 40 years more young. The band was too! I was in Charlotte, they played Hotlanta then Raleigh/Durham. Zeppelin never came back to Charlotte after the policeman got shot in the back at the August Jam at the Speedway 250,000 there for the show, people could stand on the racetrack. Then the folks at the Coliseum Authority ticked off a couple big time promoters. So bands would go to those two place N & S of us on I-85
  9. Haven't listened to this in a while. A phenomenal release, the makeup is a darn good drummer, legendary bass player and a not at all bashful singer/guitarist. https://www.loudersound.com/features/high-flyers-them-crooked-vultures-the-best-f-king-band-ive-ever-been-in
  10. I visited Dave recently, back in Oct. That does not show all the LPs he has! Not even close!
  11. You've never had that eye pressure test?
  12. Good drivers. I had the 12" version of those and the tones out of it were nice, all the way through the mid-bass! That variety has the long XMax excursion I believe. Made it exert sound pressure well. GLWYS!
  13. Think I got a 50 ' section and split it. Let me get back with you. On the phone but have a tape and will stretch them out! * Nope it's thirty feet cut in half>
  14. Oh those ten gauge I tried and put the ends on them myself. No issues with that they are hooked up well. Wondered if they could improve on what I had with me at the time (was not the AQ's) So from 14 to 10 g I believe the 14 was a lot longer. So it was not a good comparison, but I did not like the sound. I removed the KnuConcept 10 g a couple days later. As a matter of fact if anyone wants the 10 g they can pm me and pay shipping and I'll send them out!! Audio Advisor in MI used to do the listen before you buy. Read about that those quad, they do sound better.
  15. I wasn't angry or upset, tried to show that with smileys! On the other hand, got to defend my side that possibly others agree with that some cables arre better than others. That first part of your statement made a lot of sense, like everyday wisdom? Or maybe common sense? Dig it!
  16. I liked the last paragraph. Beautiful, stranded? Nope solid copper not stranded.. look into it. I can see which side is the most vocal. Economics? Nope, the sound. You've had some gorgeous speakers and I'm sure you still do. The gear you've tried out and decided to sell here that I have seen must put you in a high tax bracket. There's an online place in Michigan that used to let you try before you bought with small segments of wiring. Check it out and you might be amazed if you're still running 18g into your Heritage! It as only ten feet or so, so that was different than the old days of comparing wiring.
  17. @Schu And if a cable adds nothing while also taking away nothing? You hear what the source and the amplification can or can not do.
  18. Don't know if anything was directed towards me or my view... but it was similar statements years ago that made me put a note at my page here. It's just the idea that those of us that dare to differ with the zip-cord crowd are wrong, or dumb or can't hear. For any or all of us that dare to think that way I'll pipe some hot air in : I'll quote from that page: "Don't tell me my cabling is snake oil unless you've made direct comparisons yourself and couldn't discern the difference." And if you can't?.... "Why you need Klipsch Willis?" I compared and there is a difference. That's why I invested some $ in them. How can I love the Klipsch Heritage sound and not think 18g zip cord is just fine? I compared with my speakers as far apart as the room(s) allowed, they're always like that. It's amazing to me how some can mock or be prejudiced against someone or their viewpoints. Without even bothering to open their mind a little and looking at a differing possibility. from Merrium-Webster.com: Ignorant shares a root with the word ignore, one of those etymological connections which appear obvious once they are pointed out, yet remained overlooked by most. Both words come from the Latin ignorare (“to ignore, be ignorant of”). There are several meanings of ignorant, all of which are concerned with a lack of knowledge in some sense; some of these are more insulting than others, and care should be exercised before applying this word to people who you do not wish to offend. rant over. ** Think I'll put those 10g on my subs
  19. Enjoy that half-speed @Full Range !
  20. That was earlier. Wanna know what's on now? *BAM!!
  21. I like that about them! Aways did.
  22. Whatchu talkin' `bout?
  23. Well had most of that in the "Brick" and it worked while I slept in my clothes for a month or so
  24. I'd call it heavy in the bass, muffled mids and treble! These gave a much better clean & clear from 20 to 20Khz Both did increase the dbs some compared to my older Phoenix 14g tinned copper wiring. I'm not going $$$ but did get those Rocket 33s at the garage sale here and love them!
  25. Different day, different mood: Almost got to see them in the late 80s they were south 240 mi, then north of me by less than 150 miles. They had an almost digital-like edge to their sound even when it was LPs and cassettes!
