  1. Big games tonight, got to get rid of the tea and maybe get an old fashioned with only half the sweetness before it starts.
  2. Darn George, I'll need more proof than that if she is yours you sly dog you! Like with you and a current newspaper, otherwise... keep dreaming man you gotta strive to get better
  3. Yes, and I hope my reply did not sound argumentative. Didn't mean for it to be. The OP's Cornwall IVs are leaps and bounds ahead of those Heresy IIs I was talking about and they were on hardwood with a lot less deep digging into bass territory! Environment is a big factor for all audio endeavors!
  4. Reminds me more of the Blues Brothers with vocals and guitar from late 60s rock! **Think these two are the only Verve Records I have. They're fifty years old and the vinyl does not have any background noise, I could keep the pre @ 60 db instead of putting it down to 50 like I have to do sometimes. The runout is silent!!! No pops or funny noises that sometime come if I don't get there in time. You Bast*rd record companies, these guys ay Verve solved it in the freakin' 1960s!!
  5. This IS party music if I've ever had any! Well.. for the 70s anyhow Still looking for the youtube vid.
  6. Hey @KROCK Cool. I mentioned it because they did what the title said he was looking for. It literally refreshed the 25 plus year old Heresy that I had then. The bass was more articulate and deeper to me and they had been in that location for four years at the time!
  7. It's got that sound we like and more @billybob
  8. This might be a little too far-out for me tonight, I'll give it side one to find out. The artists in the 60s might have partaken more than in other times! Played a few months ago for the first time and enjoyed it. *Jumped the gun after several stanzas.... Might play the other one after this!
  9. He doesn't appreciate Genesis at all... way, way less than me, I like a little of it!
  10. Just been a fan since junior came to town to coach a few seasons ago. Living in FL for a decade I had to choose sides!

    The Other Discs

Whatever you feel like buddy. The dude has a real nice velvety voice, on the first track now! It's been since the late 70s when I was all Heavy Metal all the time, got to have variety last couple of decades for me although I gravitate towards... You know what because you'll see my posts! (tip of my hat smiley)
  12. Up and energizing, didn't realize you'd gotten fond of me oldtimer awww It's been the same `ol stuff around here and haven't really had much to say except about the big prevalent crime wave that we can't talk about.
  13. `Mornin, Something about a hollow space below speakers I have never felt comfortable with except small factory risers. After having Heresy for almost three decades, I tried something prior to getting new speakers. This actually did what you talk about improving the bass for them, it was immediately noticeable. Recognized their name from the Pyle-Driver speakers I had in an old car that were great. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00SVRLR06/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 They don't stand out because they are dark, there is no movement between the item and anything else due to gravity.
  14. Their first has a long list of known ones! I just turned the dial back twenty years with the Floyd:
  15. Yes there is @wuzzzer and it is not a wiki something The music recording bible as I know it is at Discogs: At their homepage I typed Boston Boston and searched. then over on the right under the dark header I chose all releases. That took me to the page you see below. Find the catalog number on the spine of the cover or the fine print on the label and you will know! https://www.discogs.com/Boston-Boston/master/59355
  16. Got Pictures? Wonderful cover on that one. This thread isn't any different than the rest of these forums!
  17. They argue that here to and we just turned ours one hour back this past Sunday morning! Onto side three and four now didn't want to hear that opening song for some reason. No problem got coffee now and I'm good until eleven or so I'd guess. Our election we used to all vote the first Tuesday in November and that was it, we knew the winners the next morning! Now two weeks before we can vote and by mail without rules this year. Some states allow the mail-ins to come for another ten days...... A leader on one side said we will know who won in January!! No joke she said that. I do not know what I will wake up to but it will not be dark around this house tonight and my flag will fly, or some other things might!
  18. I was thinking about Animals... but I pulled the Wall out of the crate. Might get to it anyhow but it's an hour from dark here so I know it's about midnight there, right?
  19. Side two No. Title Lead vocals Length 1. "Goodbye Blue Sky" Gilmour 2:45 2. "Empty Spaces" Waters 2:10 3. "Young Lust" (writers: Waters, Gilmour) Gilmour 3:25 4. "One of My Turns" Waters 3:41 5. "Don't Leave Me Now" Waters 4:08 6. "Another Brick in the Wall, Part 3" Waters 1:18 7. "Goodbye Cruel World" * Funny it's not the bud or the jack or george that I associate with lots of this music anymore. It is 5 pm here an hour from dark & I sat down at this pc with the walls breathing side two of "the Wall" it's this: Starting to smell it back here now!
  20. Hi, I had this one for a decade before I had the first that was played the other day in here and made me think of him just now. Always liked this one better than the one you like more Thinking Animals...
  21. Did that in the teenwolf show I saw the other evening too. Don't bother looking that one up definitely not for our age group!
  22. Got a couple of their records, but not for now. I'm in more of a Floyd mood today:
  23. And their silent operation has had them used in movies forever!
  24. Got the live version of that on cassette @grasshopper , one of the good ones from the 80s!
  25. There would be massive tension in that thing whether the wheels or the "bow" holds and does the recoil.
