  1. Doesn't look like it above the pic the second paragraph says it all. Cool unit either way, is that three boxes? Looks like you stocked up. Two years of use, did play a few used records but I was very picky about what went under this $$ cartridge I got for the new rig. So the thoughts of getting serious about record cleaning are something I'm going to make happen sometime soon. Just the discwasher brush isn't cutting it. This was two "drops" onto the substance. It is black so it could be coming off of all the new LPs I've picked up since `18.
  2. So can it send the positive and then negative out of the other barrel? The kind I've always had was depress for one then release for the other. Just received the stylus goop, it's under 40 here so I'll let it warm up some before use.
  3. Had lemon in Pepsi before they were doing a trial taste test at Southpark Mall where I worked and it was near where the owners of Pepsi lived in the homes that were 6k + square feet in that area. Worked with their daughter for a while there.. can't remember her name. Snow ball with vanilla extract and a little sugar? My mom did that for us back when it snowed a lot here.
  4. I'd forgotten about the peach, we had it here too when you could feel the cars coming down the road! As long as it wasn't grape or that d*mn cream soda I loved the pop when they finally let me have it at 5 or 6.
  5. Moon Pies and RC Cola too. The still sell the pies, just don't eat that kind of stuff now. If I'm gonna eat fat-food it's gonna be real... like pastries from the french deli or pound cake & pecan pie!!! * Didn't Nehi make the Orange Crush?
  6. Ahhh Shasta Orange or their root beer, loved them when I was a kid!
  7. "No Static Allowed🎵" Didn't show in the pic of the little cover but I zap the vinyl and inside the sleeve every time I play them! Liked the red one better! Idiot?? He's evil with a name indicative of the largest cult ever, plus he laughed about it at the courthouse. duckduckgo Fadi Zraika ** It's strange to see 1-8-20 on the date when it is not even here yet where I am!
  8. Matinee time again! It did quit raining finally got to see sunshine for a couple days.... then rain all morning today that has cleared out and left us muddy as the usual lately. Heard they made arrests "down under" for the unGodly act of starting that big fire. Trying to start some good feelings here this afternoon with a pair of musicians I like to put on and get taken away with. This is a miniature LP so i can't go too far! Sounds like it's from an episode of Star Trek in a few places! *Is that the toaster everyone's been expecting? ? ?
  9. Dang I'll run out of synonyms soon for the four letter words I really use. Carl yea knew about your deer meet, that leak could be trouble... hope you can shake it off too!!
  10. Darn @grasshopper get over this New Years bad start soon!
  11. Octi in the Antipasto is great, liked the slightly crunchy shellfish flavor. Not as excellent as the real Tempura Soft Shell Crab at a real Chinese restaurant!
  12. @bkwa1959 glad you've got it working. Wish I had revived my old YAH tt when it died! Very nice setup you've got there.
  13. @Full Range been looking at one that does three at a time. Can work with a six liter unit. Not sure I'll try to clean all of those but the sampling I got I like! @billybob have to find that again, sure it would would be a science project like grade school!
  14. Yep record dr is smaller and cheaper than nitty gritty or other brands. Just looked up Tanya-Baby and she still isn't bad considering!
  15. Tanya Tucker? Wow, she was a super fox in the 70s! @Dave1290 While I'm here, since I found out recently that I will be getting those 6 or 700 LPs in the near future.... He's keeping the Beatles ones... thinks he can get big $ for that first pressing White Album with the additional 45 included. (shakes head smiley) Sometimes folks just don't listen. Hoping that a real cleaning could have me keep the Dickie Betts and the Allman Bros @ the Filmore. Ultrasonic vs vacuum cleaning? The vacuums can dry but if I use a cleaner then have to rinse with distilled water I'd need a second vacuum so I wouldn't cross contaminate. Hey If I'm going high dollar might as well take it to the hilt. Then I thought I could use the TergiKleen™ then do a rinse if I just got two salad spinners I mean spin-cleans but not sure if I could trust what they use for brushes in those things, doubt it's a lambs-wool? Nitty Gritty brush. Ultrasonic at a higher cost would take up more space and require more sundries to keep it going. Unless you count the tiny 4000 degree explosions it is touchless! Opinions? Paul had a great idea, they sell a vacuum attachment with the end blocked off and the slit with the brushes on it for vacuuming records, it fits over the spindle. Mine isn't a wet/dry vac though and I'd have to find an unused platter somewhere.
  16. Didn't get my coffee made until after 8 today. darn caffeine withdrawals. I can't move again until I finish this 14oz mug.
  17. Hi again, back twenty years ago I would send my nokias to a place in downtown Boston. It was howardforums for me back then. So there are some legit people out there to help. That site looks legit but no contact info except email??? Nassau?? I follow Lou Reed's friend George's advice...... "Believe half of what I see, and none of what I hear." most of the time. ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH you freakin' got me darnit! forgot to inspect that addy at the bottom of chromium I know better now. Andriod was easy just goto xda developers forums find you model and you can learn lots. There might be the info you need there. Past several years with my phones having dual-boot something down deep software and hardware wise I haven't bothered doing even rooting. Plus my favorite rom, PureNexus ceased to exist.
  18. Excellent EZ Listening records and your first hand knowledge of so many artists is amazing. You're one of only a couple here that could step it up after that broadcast (tip of the hat smiley)!
  19. Tried sardines once, back at that age where I was forced to try crap at least once they were salty! The crunch with that batter mix is thin and excellent, and with a dill pickle cole slaw, deviled crabs and all that.... memories!
  20. Riverboat Inn is what it was called I believe, "They" fought with other fish camps or fish frys whatever you happened to call them over decades saying they came up with it. Supposedly in the early 1900s. Long gone now but was a big deal in the 1970s when FMac went there. Stevie? I think ended up at a hosp with her eyes messed up by the contacts. News was only noon, six and eleven back then and people at a hotel talked about their partying and the mess and yada, yada, yada! *Fried fish is taken just as seriously as the pulled pork barbeque around here kinda like basketball is.
  21. Salt & Pepper Catfish is the flour and corn meal mixed & S&P kinda heavy. "Invented" at the restaurant tucked under I-85 by the Catawba that Fleetwood Mac fell out at after partying so hard here that they had to cancel their re-scheduled show after "Rumors" . By the time they finally came back a year and a half later some friends of mine were so ticked they kept the tickets and didn't bother to go. Jr High was insane then...and Very High.
  22. Interesting. Look at the depth of the voice coils on those suckers! Massive X-Max! No wonder they are full range drivers.
  23. Biggest I've skinned was the length of my arm, those darn spines sting. But the clean fresh taste and flaky/tender meat with flour/corn meal s&p and cole slaw. Darn good at the end of a hot day!
