  1. A Yammie! thought it looked familiar, I had one of those for a little while.. a `99. It sounded nice but had to tighten the lifters? down if I drove it hard. Good quick fun for a small five speed.
  2. Nice looking cruiser you've got there @YK Thom!

    What I Got Today!

A friend helping a family friend called and I ended up with something vintage. I'll know more later on. http://www.vintage-speaker-review.com/2014/01/fisher-xp-7-speaker-review-and-price.html Provenance from what I was told is backed up by the shipping labels and the declared value when shipped from NYC in 1969. Belonged to a another friend that had passed, these had been boxed up since 1981. Dusted them off, the grilles have a metallic gold threading through them.
  4. Sunday Evening Music Around Here:
  5. "Talking" earlier today got me thinking about what you just have to do when things aren't going your way. It's simple:
  6. Sounds nice on my pc here too, on a different level though. Arrrgh he's got a page-turner. When I was 5-10 I was there listening to this kind of music played by my mother at the church. With my Tonka trucks and army men all over the stairs leading to the organ. She directed the choir while playing without (seemingly) missing a note. I did turn for her when they did the whole Messiah for Easter the first time. Practice for that was non-stop for months prior. Nothing I've ever owned could hit the lows like the setup there or like your Jubilees.
  7. Hate it for you man. My immunosuppressant that I can not live without gave me hypertension after a decade on it. On Coreg CR (time released) now and it's better than the others I've sampled.. but 5 hrs in it about knocks me off my feet and that's 2pm. Gotta "Keep Pushin' On"! Traded my 12 step vices for coffee and I've got to have one consumable vice so that's it.
  8. That's a big difference with the e in there instead of the a. Marmite sounds similar to a gross margarine.
  9. Sounds like life during wartime to me. I just looked up marmite, it was foreign to me.
  10. It's all good bro, you don't need to. The stuff I have now will hold me over for probably a month then I'll survey my choices again. Since it's only me drinking it now 20 oz (the minimum for my pot) does it for me... most days.
  11. Bad @richieb bad! The pot I made at 6:15 is long gone now and I'd hate to think about that There's always tea in the fridge but the caffeine is different and I make it 1/3 decaf for a long time now because I don't want to give up the coffee!
  12. @Full Range Should have mentioned, like the cool lamp on the right. The tv is curved like the stand? I had a pair very similar with five big balls conjoined in a stack with the high gloss black shades. It took a 100/150/250 watt bulb to make light for the big room they were in. My friends mom said they were "Super Tacky Tough" and I've never forgot, she lived in a geodesic dome herself! I called them the chrome caterpillars. @dirtmudd this one sounds fantastic!!!
  13. Another hectic morning, it's 1pm and I've got a shot at getting myself a shower if I leave the pc alone. Good coffee made this jerk🚩 a happy camper through all of it. Ten days of coffee you don't like isn't advisable!
  14. Nice. It's got the guitar, slide guitar, drums and voice like blues does... but get the funk out! RL's got some progressive in him!!
  15. πŸ˜‚πŸ€£πŸ˜… Don't like iced coffee dad burnit. Think I don't want to waste the electricity to make coffee for the plants. (bangs head smiley) Thanks for your concern & effortπŸ˜† Da*n the grass is thick today, COLD water is good! @oldtimer we'll find something new next week!
  16. OK Mr.@WillyBob, that's odd to me that your index isn't higher over there, but we've got a cool one going on here it's 90 and kinda muggy today. Very Nice. The grinders hopper holds less than a half pound so by next weekend I'll be back to the black that I love.
  17. Difficult because I'm bright enough to understand that brewed and chilled it's still the same beans making it? I'm a real brat then, 🏁 can't stand pickled beets, chicken gizzards or collard greens or worst of all shrimp & garlic together except for in creole! Evergreens do like acidity you're right about that! tree fiddy? might take more than that!
  18. Don't buy the ice cream anymore since she can't eat anything now, so I'll stick with the milk for now. Powering through..... yes that's like burning the toast, scrape it off with a table knife and eat it anyhow. Iced coffee? How much will you pay me to do that? They're kids starving in china this town right now so waste-not / want-not!
  19. What do y'all do when your beans aren't very good and your constitution won't let you toss them? I've got some good stuff in again this week, but the hopper in my grinder is full of the previous stuff. This is going on a couple of months now.... trying to get back into the groove where I just do it subconsciously in the morning like the first thing we all do. It happens every now and then that wherever I get mine from either gets a different batch that isn't as good or flat out roasts and puts an entirely different bean in the bags. Gotta use them and mainly I just put a tsp of sugar into a qt of coffee. Today a couple of drops of maple syrup and milk, not my idea of a good am drink but I'm doing it. I've used brown sugar (it takes a lot less of this) and years ago almond extract. The flavored coffee fad didn't hit me hard at all. While I'm at it I have made my own mochas when i had a good dark roast after dinner with a good real (you know.. four ingredients) chocolate ice cream.
  20. Linda Ronstat, bet that half-speed is smooth sounding! & a good trumpeter through Khorns... it's been so long that if I did not have the K-55V/K700 in the Supers I could not imagine how that experience would be. Good Stuff.
  21. Hello boys & girls That was in jest, just for Carl. I've only seen them a foot or two long on the Halifax, didn't see them in the Banana river (same thing down at the Cape). There was cell phone video on the news once when I lived there of one jumping into a fishing boat and biting one of them. That big kid sure is happy with that giant one though, the muddy water seems more like TX too!.
  22. If you don't see any gators or big iguanas in the river be aware that the gars are mean, fast and barracuda like fish that have been known to jump into your boat to bite you. Found a picture of a big one (not me there): The teeth are gnarly with their mouth opened!
  23. Shame, it should be a choice if you dare to get sunburnt in places you won't say out loud! Haven't joined in there since the 90s. Ponce Inlet or thereabouts huh? More quiet there than off of Intl. Spdwy. Blvd.
  24. So I had several that had seen better days & the used LP store is where I go when I've got a spare moment now. Landed on a couple that one was sealed, the other looked new too. Unreal to me `cept that fella hears me when I say what I'm looking for !! Got $15, spent a twenty and these sound so good tonight! FF to a minute in:
