  1. I listened to it again before posting ignorantly........ my way of opinion bashing & clashing I'm also just perturbed I can't watch my Hurricanes until the game is over right now my fan-curse continues! Hey it's just different strokes for different folks!
  2. @Mallette That place I mentioned is called Lupies, great burgers about 2# each, background music that would please the most discerning rock-folk-country 60s-80s eccentric! Top40 wasn't played there. Had the TX version there and other places with the meat, peppers, garlic and some onion probably the stuff you mentioned the best was in Orlando somewhere. What I pictured above my mom called it chili-con-carne, and fed it to us. Mine isn't mild though, used the cayenne instead of j a p s this time. Fine ground corn meal with lime....... sounds nice! Yes mine just bubbles down think the bean stuff helps it get thick. Use a little corn starch in creole dinners.
  3. Ha! It's a stiff riff and although I like KC that never got a rise outta me like RED or their first! Would take more than that to take down Zep!
  4. When you go to Calabash do not stop until you get to the end of the road, the last restaurant on the left at the docks is the original. I haven't been there since the 90s but never went to another `cause as a youngster in 68 or 69 it was the only one there!

    The Other Discs

Made some chili that ended up being real good. Needed a follow-up!
  6. Been there. You'll be close to Chuck @Tarheel!
  7. Searched and found Steve Irwin's daughter....... then this video😂
  8. You got me started yesterday, had tortilla chips already, ended up with NY Strip marked down but not ripe at a better price than their 80-20 at the publix. Cayenne and chili, onion & bell pepper, pintos, tomatos, S&P, + a clove. Put a dent in it after two hours, stuff off the sides makes it thicker! Wish I had a beer in the house though, love tea but it's not the same. According to a place we all went to years ago this is Cincinatti Chili, *"That Don't Confront Me" because it's very tasty with chips and sharp cheddar! *George T if you forgot that!
  9. @cincymat Mountains, Piedmont or Sandhills? Lots to like about the different areas..... except I loathe sandspurs!
  10. If any of you 200 viewers are interested, now's the time to strike. With the new version here, up and running nicely... $ talks!
  11. There are a lot of worse things you could do on a chilly Sat am!
  12. That is an interesting look at one of YES best @Full Range. Not useless verbiage, as an obvious musician he makes sense there. Only took in the first couple of minutes but I intend to hear it out later. That RdB Police record has got to go back, seller won't take off as much as I want to justify keeping it. First time I've thought about doing this buying at discogs. I've got the others I consider necessary from them. One is a 180 NM-M Outlandos d'Amour played less that 5 or 6 times since I got it last year. Zenyatta Mondatta "Back to Black" version 180 NM-M. Those 180s are "audiophile grade vinyl" Ghost in the & Synch G to VG condition originals some audible noise but not bad... I have still put them under my new cart!! Put this out here to see if any of you would want these for a better price than what I paid for the two 180s in the past year. pm me if...
  13. We know your limits now!
  14. Sure I've put this up before.... can't help it!
  15. You'd make it just fine here. I can't stand collards or any of the other greens lucky for me the turnips get all eaten by both of us! Yea that green pepper juice it used to be on the table at a lot of the restaurants around here as well as the houses. But chow chow is used a lot on the greens and pickled beans and such. Found a new salsa when they quit carrying my fave..... It's dark...and nice!
  16. the South CLT is the airport code for Charlotte, NC Dave, used that for abbreviations ever since I worked nights at an air freight warehouse at MCO.
  17. Smoked ham, beans & salsa, turnip greens & cider vinegar, cornbread, tea. That was New Years Eve and then day after here!
  18. ....and a good time will be had by y'all tonight. Even though it's without the pintos I put in mine, yea I know not TX style but I eat it!
  19. The SB2000 is nice and not boomy like I'd suspect the pb to be. I tried one straight from them a few months ago, out of phase, straight across from my F3s. Great except for one thing, the sound did not match with what was coming out of my Klipsch. Something about the "signature" was off. Maybe I should have picked up CWs because one or two of those folded woofer subs is too much for me. I was using it strictly for music. Check back at their outlet page and compare that with what Cory could do. SVS subs seem to be keepers!
  20. 😲 * She is gorgeous!
  21. This was the first I picked up with the Christmas bounty. Almost the last to get here, fella was out of town but communicated well with me It's under negotiation, sold to me and priced as M when it's NM at best. Sound is mostly very clean and exceptional like halfspeeds are, it just has some scratches that are audible. It might have to go back... but it filled out my Police albums from their first to Synchronicity, and damn the song below has just always made this southern fella boogie! Geeze... my Hurricanes are one up on the Lightning... the #1 team in the NHL often and again right now since the Red Wings abdicated their place. When I don't watch they stand a chance.....f'n HATE THIS!
  22. Cool, I had the one with the baseball glove on it that came out in the 80s for a long time "Centerfield" I think? *The band he had on that record was tight, and good musicians. Also the T Trucks is a good one in my cabinet too!
  23. This is a new one I picked up with my bevy of half-speeds. And yea compared to my original copy that I picked up as a teen a few years later it is really nice sounding. Know what.... saw this pic in the phone, glad I did took it for another spin with the discwasher. It's got a second record with first takes and "alternate" versions of the same songs, let y'all know about those later. This one like a lot of other records that had "FM" hits on them. has even better ones, not one bad tune on this LP!!
