  1. Dude, I could not find strings without blue except for the clear lights. I put them on an emptied string in case I needed it in the future to keep the sockets clean. I've only seen the blue pulled off in a satisfactory manner a couple of times, and this place isn't a multi-million art-deco or bambi & thumpers Frank Lloyd Wright place in Vegas! We've got Salmon, no Clemson Orange brick on a 50s small ranch house. **That wasn't a FLW in "Diamonds are Forever" It was someone that was an apprentice of Mr. Wright, John Lautner. This place could pull off blue Christmas lights! http://anguloarquitectura.com/en/elrod-house_diamantes-para-la-eternidad-1971/
  2. Those are two separate guys on Bolsons Chairs? That high? UH uhhh (shakes head sideways smiley) Never remember using this word before but read it many times...... That is incredulous! Either malice at play there or stupidity. Harsh but true. If you can't tie off properly... to a good fixture, and tie a good knot, immediately prior inspecting the rope... you should not be up three stories let alone that high! It's sad but from that height after a couple seconds of terror there was no pain for him.
  3. Good Night folks. Lights out, the front door here has a sliver of a window down the middle. No those aren't blue lights, bleh! must be the green ones showing up like that. It took forever to take all the blues out of all the strings and replace.
  4. beep beep At the same time in the 70s a fella down the street had two of these in his garage!!!!!!!!!! Two shock absorbers opposed to each other on each wheel, "I can drive 160 mph with only a finger on the steering wheel" was his response to how good the handling was on this fantastic beast. And my boss at the mall when we walked out one night and she had parked next to my new to me Charger because "It's pretty" said "If I had known you liked these I could have sold you this car." "It's getting harder to get a good mechanic to tune the three carburetors correctly. (1980) Then she walked around my Charger and got in her dark purple Barracuda 440 six-pack four speed that shook me when she cranked it up! Where is that "bangs head smiley" ?
  5. Yeah, keep your eyes on the road, your hand upon the wheel Keep your eyes on the road, your hand upon the wheel Yeah, we're goin' to the Roadhouse We're gonna have a real Good time

Ouch, bad for the 20 somethings. This guy came from Alice in Chains and actually got better after them.

Nice amps you've got there bro! Good to see the thick carpet in front of those beastly LS and the anti-reverb under them. Got snow? I'd bet you've got a lot more than us, it's all gone except in the shadows here tonight!
  13. Geeze, don't they have about 20 LPs out, noticed there was a lot to choose when I picked up my Revelator last year! First saw them on one of those Clapton Crossroads multi-hour deals on tv, that one had a couple they played well that year. Will always love the CDB even if they always arrive two hours late for every one of their shows I've seen....... you get to meet more new folks that way!!
  14. Late 70s here there would be a `68 383 Charger, a `74 340 hi-perf Challenger, a `69 RT 440 and my `73 in the driveway and mine was unable to take any of those. Except a straightaway half mile
  15. @Dave A Sounds like a dream job for me! I wonder if you built that `73 SE 400 that I had for a while. With the flat spots over the wheels for tools and two teens could fit under the hood if the motor wasn't hot. That car would take my 16 yr old abuse without complaint, had to get the oil moving to the crankcase a little better but it was a very good machine. The exhaust pipes ran straight to the back bumper.... no twists or turns at all. Pretty good for a de-tuned big block.
  16. That's an automobile! Every syllable should be used for what the folks in Detroit did to massage that steel into the fast, sturdy and pretty thing that it is. Never forget when I was a kid in our 66 LeSabre. A drunk crossed the lanes on one of those parkways in Winston Salem, NC and hit us head on when we were leaving a gas station to head home during Christmas. Wasn't fast like a 35mph zone, the other car bounced off our Buick. We weren't knocked off our course. A small piece of the grille was busted, and I learned about rubbing compound after we got home. When my ship comes in I'll have Jubilees and a pair of early 70s small block vehicles that will not crumble when the dumb dumbs strike. A driver and a donor sled!
  17. Is that in a truck @Wolfbane? Love the flame depth, first class work there. The old Hemis that I saw Chargers, Coronets S'birds had the plugs in the middle of the valve covers.
  18. Nate? Ya couldn't stop me from dreaming that though! Again nice setup, and good luck to you.
  19. So 1300 cash and carry? Very Nice! I love the STASIS amps and I only had an SR-3A with Heresy IIs when they came out. The CWs look clean and the warm/natural Nakamichi/Nelson Pass is really good with Klipsch. If things were different with me $ wise I'd grab a bar of paraffin, head up there and force those Cornwalls into my Accord!
  20. That first statement probably everyone would agree with. Being a Southerner I've never experienced that, a week in Boston in December `96 was like one of our colder weeks ever down here. Get well soon dude, force the fluids (water, tea, juices) and your body will pi-- out the germs for ya.
  21. Those kids are having a blast, look at their faces! Good picture @Marvel Temp is the same, we've got snow this morning, and I stayed under the covers until 9a.......... at least I'm caught up on sleep now.
  22. That's like an 80 mile difference from the southside where I am. They've got good apples and honey for sale on the side of the road at the right times of the year where they are!
  23. Back in the 20s at night this week, more snow in the morning. It's gonna be messy for a couple more mornings. Your friend must be on the other side of town, that 15" here didn't stick. All the foreigners here can't drive under a clear blue sky, my car won't touch the roads until it thaws & dries.
  24. My aunt and uncle in Reidsville got about 10" of fine powder there he says, it was ending there about a half hour ago when I talked to them. Mostly sleet here this time. Those speakers have a full bass sound in those videos I saw earlier that came across on my pc with the bookshelf speakers. You'll get the punch from your LS and the down low from those pretty Spatials!
  25. Seen that script before Chuck, probably could use some right now. It's nasty over here today, heavy wet snow started last night around 10:30 right before I went to bed, (was up since 3 am yesterday) but all the rain earlier in the day kept most of it from sticking plus it was too warm. Lots of sleet and freezing rain this morning, more of that stuck than the snow did. And it's been hovering right at and above freezing. All told about four inches after three days of warning, WARNING, end of the world is coming Will Robinson. Ppffttt...... I looked at the radar maps and the surface analysis and knew we were getting slush yesterday morning `cause the moisture from the gulf was too close to us. So it's been melting and the power went out for a couple of hours, we battened down, closed the interior doors cranked up the gas stove and were getting ready to play kangaroo rummy when the electrons started flowing again. 40s tomorrow Yeeaaah! Should have taken that pic hours ago, it's half gone now.
