  1. AXSTV had a SRV special on last month: SRV: The Rise of a Texas Bluesman You guys would love it, he wasn't old enough to drive and was already turning heads in TX. Playing with folks ten years older than him, couple of connects from Jimmy but not a lot. Had this chic that sang with them for a while and they sounded real good then too! Lots of footage and then my thoughts of what could have been a lifetime of more fantastic music from him.

When you decide that you have to replace some of your old worn out media..... And then you realize you don't have deep enough pockets for mint vinyl copies... CDs are pretty tough & NM to M copies can be found on the cheap sometimes. Pretty close to the sound of good vinyl if your DACs are up to it!! And no surface noise from mis-graded vinyl either. My fave from this recording, and if you ever saw them perform it back then... you'd know why and how.

brainwashed ones. Lots of things have been funded and never done. Here some things have been voted down and the crooks downtown have gone ahead and done it anyway! About a year after I moved back up here `04 I think I was taking a shower one Sunday morning. The whole house shook, then I heard the rumbling kinda quick explosion. We voted against another new coliseum, just had a 25,000 seat one built in the late 1980s to replace the chrome-dome 13,333 seat one from the 50s. It was less than five miles from my house. The dumb-dumbs running this po-dunk town blew it up and built a new small coliseum in the middle of a darn road downtown. idgits! The people in this place voted against doing it and they did it anyhow! I won't set foot in it until Led Zep comes back to town and plays there.

Heck Yea. Done. Two weeks ago!
  10. That was a great cartoon the first couple of years! Mecha-Streisand and Robert Smith from the Cure saved the day!! Kind of like an animated Sat. Night Live thing like in the late 70s. We would plan to be home or at somebody's house to see it every week.

These guys playing, you would not think of anyone else. This is the first of theirs that I got, the last in chronological order that I have now. Shaq had the Magic in the playoffs ( they won it that year) so this show got moved an hour west of town, to a much smaller arena..... some got refunds... we got IN. They put on a good show played for a good while but Garbage opened for them. They had a good singer / show-woman but were too pop for me.

I HATE health insurance companies, literally. When I was very anemic, my liver having shrunk to the size of my fist, one of them refused to even pay one red cent for an Rx prescribed to me. I went round and round with them, quoted the federal drug ID # to them for this 50 or whatever mg of Vitamin K. A drug, a prescription, for a dying paying customer trying to stay alive. They literally told me to get the vitamin at the drug store. So, I could fill a 32 gallon trash can twice a day with this drug store version of the vitamin and take it. I quit growing vertically at 5'9", I can't eat that much! The person I dealt with had no medical knowledge and they refused to confer with anyone that did. See Vit K only comes otc in mcg.... micrograms not milligrams. )(^&$ I cursed them up one side and down the other. They edited my statement, turned some of it into something completely different....... played it back for me had their lawyer write me and I could not call them ever again. Fast forward a couple years, on the last day of the last month of my final COBRA extension. Back then you could pay for a certain amount of time, since I was on death's door I did get an extension that doubled that time. That last day of the coverage that I was never late on a payment for even after two years of being unable to work........... the beeper from the transplant center went off. They put me under literally two hours before my insurance ceased and those m9862r-125ke9s had to shell out 900K for the operation 11 days in the icu & recovery after and the post op infusions and daily half-pounds of pills for eighteen months. That was a big, low seven figure total for the first year and a half after getting the new filter. HA! m*ers Now one of my life-sustaining RX's isn't going to be covered next year. Only one plan for me in this state I can not move from covers my immunos. My life has always been a battle, not always happy but I've fought for it. Seventeen and a half years is three times the amount of life they told me to expect after the transplant, my little brother might have to pick up the slack if I check out. Gotta check if there is a new plan out there now, maybe with a different company. Cool my jets and get on the phone. It's possible that the manufacturer has a contingency plan for folks that don't have a jim&tammy cash intake system. That letter in the mailbox yesterday that I opened today hit me like a rock to the back of the head. (*&^* ^47(<?

Think I've seen you post this band before, and I've seen their stuff on shelves before. Listening to them (right now in the original tab) reminds me seriously of Genesis. Search on the www and everyone thinks that too. But I'll say it's got a different edge to it, Fish can sing just like Phil.
  21. Good Call Ditto with the Tigers!
  22. Alabama vs Clemson again. Unless there's a shocker soon. Will be a good game! Wasn't it nice of the Tigers to let the Cardinals get a td in the second half? They even let them get the extra point the second time around
  23. I feel the same @Schu But then again, I don't need a cart now. I love my year old Audio-Technica AT33PTG/II !!
  24. This would reach the folks most interested in this kind of thing. So check this out if you're looking for a new cart and have a med-high budget for it. https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/topic/180119-soundsmith-cartridges-sale/
  25. http://www.elusivedisc.com/Limited-Time-Deals/products/847/ Pretty good discounts on pricey carts with trade-in! The "E" came in last night. I understand that these are very nice and re-tipping is easily arranged right here in the States.
