  1. I ejected part of a stone or another one altogether! Homemade lemonade, got a five lb bag the other day! Makes for a sticky cleanup with the cheap litttle juicer I have available to me. Not like the huge old ones that could juice a grapefruit. Man, it been a heckofa day. Rain has come and the showers have stayed longer. Won one paperwork/$$ battle, lost the other. In the long run not bad a all!
  2. "And now from near Rocky Mount looking out over the lake this mornin' " "Crank this and git to werk!!" Pulled this from the mailbox last week!
  3. Well my highway hasn't been heading the right direction lately, but you know that. I'll yank the p-brake do a 180 and be back soon I hope!!
  4. I knew you had Prime-Time covered with your collection. I could still do the am to the cold coffee time-slot well!
  5. Dreamer Deceiver/Deceiver are were awesome together as one song live!
  6. There ya go! 70's Priest was where it's at! Bet 1981 wasn't too bad either
  7. I was still online and found something too good not to share!! Sound Familiar?
  8. Won't say too much about it, but had a bad case of the a$$ as it's called here lately. So i took some time off. New doc told me a nightmare of a story from the ultrasound study done earlier in the week. Still thinks the 5x6 will pass, refuses to look at records from the outfit that actually helped me the past two decades. According to Kid Rock's apparel line I did move to du*#%uckistan Nightmare you say? The 8mm one in the left kidney was the highlight there.
  9. Remember when this was new music!!
  10. Hate it Dave 1290 - 1291 ! Think there is a new third shift DJ in line!! @Tim Sr. from the acoustic JIMI to the sweet jazz sounds just muscled in and didn't even ask for that darned Quarter! Welcome to the Fold... now all we need is $$$ for the mega wattage transmitters. Or could it be networked LaScalas from coast to coast, border to free-for-all ! & a welcome to @imeiamme with the good hair band tunes.
  11. He he he, Pe-caaans Pe-cans as long as they're fresh there's not much better, `cept maybe with some homemade lemonade in the hot afternoon! He doesn't look much like the nutcracker type though! * Ya know I got that Mike. dɪˈflek.ʃən Dang they're using characters that do not belong in my language at Cambridge for enunciation
  12. That's one cool production Paul!
  13. Yessirree Chuck! He gave me some more of those comfort Rx's. Really don't like to take them. They are there for a reason, and I use them for that reason!
  14. I have, or had.. (not sure after almost three years with an evil relative) Forte IIIs. Pushed with 120/channel clean & good Cambridge Audio. They would fill a room that size open to the hallway and to a larger room with a 17' cathedral ceiling. As much as I liked the increase in bass response, and imaging over those 1990 H2's? I also missed the slam of the closed box Heresy II. I could be abrupt and say LaScalas or nothing at all but I think the Cornwalls might could fill that area authoritatively. Both of the Heritage series that I had could also be played softly without a loss in the sound of or the character of the music. I'll also point out that some input from others on this would be best from your viewpoint. Not a disclaimer but everyone's got opinions and experiences. Hang tight, read more in the HT threads and wait for some more responses here. You are talking about something that could serve you for decades... or longer!
  15. My old Heresy IIs reproduced a lot of David Sanborn and others, very nicely too. No wonder you got that response out of him for that heretical request
  16. There are several of us up in the NE USA! USA! USA!
  17. Now that is the kind of info that the folks here more in the know about acoustics could work with! Might take a little but I was interested when I saw this over on the right side of the page! Others will be too. Mention where you're located there have been some beautiful sets and amplifiers that sold recently here.
  18. Geeze. Finally got to meet with a urologist today, 12 days later. That took less than a day back home before I had to get one of my own. Possibly six weeks until any procedure☹️ Then it will be at Virginia Tech, slightly less than two hours away. Doctor did leave me with a good impression though. Bad new is there's an 8mm one in my kidney that he will take out too. Could use a shot tonight, but won't for a good while now!
  19. Up front for Ted & Aero several times did it for me! That's kind of why I mentioned between one and three peppers dollar signs. Because if what you get is too bright furnishings that don't cost a lot could help. If it's cushy like a button'n'tuck 70s Camaro interior might have to dial it back. So remember to rtfm on the Klipsch you end up with, you could download it if need be. Not familiar with the Dayton gear except some of their woofers. But it takes less wattage to make sound out of the Heritage line the higher you go. Check the garage Sale thread here to get an idea about pricing on previously owned speakers!
  20. I doubt it! It's a lot to take in... 16 X 24, angled ceiling, open to the high end of the ceiling? Or on a side?. What flooring? Speakers have a clean path to that "sweet spot" that your favorite chair or sofa will go in? The home theater enthusiasts here can really go to the n'nth degree. It could be $$$ or maybe just $ Honestly Cornwalls wouldn't be a bad place to start. If the speakers are on the low end of the ceiling could it work like a bandshell? Next up are the furnishings in that room. That has a lot to do with the sound you'll end up with. Upholstered furnishings help with the sound, wool or other rugs help also. Heavy curtains can do a lot for the sound. Al the cushy stuff could be over done though. So unless you happen to "get it right" out of the gate it's always going to be a journey instead of a destination! Good Luck!

    What I Got Today!

    Looking Good @babadono !
  22. @Marvel I couldn't imagine angels actually sounding much better than that!
  23. what's coffee? Drank some dark hot stuff Saturday for the first time in a week, hurt so bad later that I've got beans just sitting there. That song played where I was when I was little! The Stones version was more my speed later on. *Found a good link earlier, I haven't been after their 4th LP too often.
