  1. Will do! It should arrive on Thursday.
  2. Thanks, Tim! I was wondering where that slight jump in price came from when I placed my bid with 30 seconds left in the auction. I was willing to go a bit higher, so I am very pleased with $108.50. I was thinking about getting an Emotiva A-300 if I didn't win the 2-160, but as you said, the Sherbourn is a little more powerful and has the balanced inputs. And at less than half the price, I am very happy indeed. I'm excited about the PT-100 after playing with my new A-100 (my first Emotiva product) for the last few days. Their stuff seems to be very solidly built and for a great value.
  3. I won that Sherbourn 2-160, and ordered an Emotiva PT-100 for pre/pro. Can't wait!
  4. Look just like the grilles on my Heresy E's
  5. Nice! I really want to build a Coyote swapped Fox in the future.

I figure there must be a few gear heads around here. What do you have? What are you working on? I picked up a '95 Cobra 302 for my '93 Mustang the other day. It hasn't moved in about two years, but that should change very soon.
  7. I love my CF-2's, and have been thinking about picking up some CF-3's that recently came up locally.

  9. It's a 210 cfm fan, so I doubt I'll have any issues with the TX-SR605 overheating
  10. Added to watch list, thanks!
  11. Definitely give them a listen if you get a chance. I think they may be my favorite Klipsch speaker I've had so far. I'm still new to the world of 3-way Klipsch, with my first pair of 3-ways being the Heresies I bought the day before
  12. Indeed, I put myself on the list for when they come back. I was thinking about eventually doing an Outlaw 975/5000, but I think the Emotiva combo makes a lot more sense (and it's $300 less!). I ended up ordering an A-100 to go with my Heresy setup, to replace the free Onkyo AVR my neighbor gave me. Can't wait to try it out.
  13. Great price on some great speakers! Good luck!
  14. Thinking I may hold off for a bit and do Emotiva A-300/PT-100 when the A-300 comes back in stock. Seems like a great combo for under $700.
  15. Thanks! I think they sound great even on the 'ole Onkyo, so any upgrade will be a bonus.
  16. Ended up passing on the Proton because it wasn't included in their Memorial Day sale and they wouldn't go as low on the price as I was hoping.
  17. The advice is appreciated! The KLF's have definitely earned a permanent place here. I love the trial and error part of this hobby, it makes it that much more rewarding. I wish more amps still had meters! The new Luxmans and Yamahas look great with them. I hope the meters make a comeback. Money no object, I'd just go get a McIntosh MA7900 like my dad just got for his Snell Type D's.
  18. A couple hundred dollars is worth it to me. If I get it home and it's toast, I can always bring it back (it's at a local used hifi shop). The cheapest XPA-2 I'm seeing in a quick search is over $600. Not exactly a $100 increase.
  19. How do you know what I'm getting the Proton for? I'm not looking to be set for the next 20 years. Also, this is the first I'm hearing about the D1200 not being able to drive low impedance. It's actually the opposite of what I've been reading about it.
  20. They sound incredible to my ears, even on the Onkyo AVR that I dragged out of storage to test some speakers for a buyer and ended up turning into a temporary second setup until I can get something better. On a recent college graduate budget, the Proton should be a nice upgrade. It doesn't have to be optimal now, there is always room for improvement and I enjoy the experimentation.
  21. I was trying to get my hands on some 30's before I found these, but the seller's communication was terrible and I couldn't get them to agree on a time to see the speakers. Then, these came up on Craigslist less than two miles from my house. No one said the next step was gonna happen right away, but I would like to do it eventually. The diaphragms sooner than later. I'm hoping to pick up a Proton D1200 here in a couple hours
  22. I picked up some very nice KLF-20's on Monday and finally got a chance to give them a good listen tonight. I think they may be my new favorite music speaker. Next step: Crites diaphragms and crossovers, inspect baffles (although they sound pretty solid)
