Nah ... no socks ... live in Florida. Most prob looking for an integrated amp with several inputs (and phone), as well as tone controls (never use these, but don't think I want to do without them either. Used to be SO SIMPLE in the SS days ... figure out how much you want to spend and just buy a good brand. Even when I started with vintage stuff ... just buy a good Marantz with enough power. Onto "tubes" ... lots and lots to learn. Cheers, Emile

Thanks a lot. Had been there before ... but need to visit it again and again. Can't even make up my mind on SE vs PP. Cheers, Emile

Hi Zman1661, Welcome to the forum of Klipsch "nuts." Belle's look AWESOME; where are you located? Cheers, Emile

We'll; did not want to bring this up, but ... actually my wife and some of her friends left it on after cleaning their kayaks.

Nah ... every-one wants to come to Florida Free room and board at my house and I'll even pay for the CW's. BTW; awesome and an even better price. Have Cornwall I''s (Birch with cane grills) and almost bought another (very nice walnut pair) for $1400. Cheers, Emile

Darn May have to hold off on a new tube amp for a month Left the hose on into the pool for over a week 60,000 gallons and a $1200 water bill.

Hi JimJimbo, Forte I's and KG4's - both with Crites Ti diaphragms and on A/B/AB switch. Source is NAD C-542 CD, Music Hall TT, Sony MiniDisc, Sony DAT, Pioneer LaserDisc, Nak 3-head cassette. (Hey; it's in my small stereo "test room." Had to try all formats. ) Currently using Marantz 1060 and a Pilot 230 tube amp (both on a selector switch ... yes, am careful to turn the tube amp off before disconnecting load). Many thanks! Cheers, Emile

Thanks! Yes; that is how it started ... found a Yaqin MC-10L in the "Garage Sale." Unfortunately the post was over a year old and haven't heard. Sure it is "gone." Cheers, Emile

Thanks! Shopping

Thank you for the diagnosis, Doctor. Actually I'm 66, but no repairs yet.
-
Thank you SIR. The hardest part is being "patient," because we want it NOW. Glad to hear my Pilot 230 is better than I thought. Not restored, but new tubes. Will be playing it more ... think I have to LEARN to appreciate the tube sound. BTW, love your Fisher stuff ... what model amp is that? Many thanks and greetings from the "other" Bay (Tampa Bay, FL)

Awesome ... never heard this ... thanks for pointing this out.

OK; could't resist. First, one of the best studio alums ever. "Super Session" by Mike Bloomfield, Al Kooper and Steve Stills. Next, "Children of Sanchez" by Chuck Mangione. Written as film music (and voted one of the worst movies ever), once you play it it just stays with you forever and ever. Cheers, Emile

Show off Just kidding; awesome system

@Tigerman Thanks! Will try to get some ... or a new set of Khorns.

@Tigerman Holy shi* ... where did you get Klipsch wine glasses???? Cheers, Emile

Way back??? My room mate in college used to play this 24hrs/day. Just a couple of years ago ... or was it 40 years ago? Cheers, Emile

Saw them in London ... many, many years ago. Awesome! Was also there when Freddy Mercury died. About a week of mourning and constant television coverage of Queen. Terrible, but a very great memory Cheers, Emile

Yes Freude, schöner Götterfunken, Tochter aus Elysium, Wir betreten feuertrunken, Himmlische, dein Heiligtum! Deine Zauber binden wieder. Was die Mode streng geteilt; AlleMenschen werden Brüder, Wo dein sanfter Flügel weilt. OK, my German is good, but not perfect ... translating the main theme ... All men shall become brothers, wherever your gentle wings hover ... Raising my wine glass to yours! Cheers, Emile

The Einstein field equations ... in "watered" down versions it becomes E=mc squared. For Klipsch owners it means the bigger the speaker, the better the sound. Cheers, Emile
-
Awesome ... The Planets is one of my favorites as well as wine Opening my second bottle (it's 9:30 in Florida). Then ... Beethovens's "alle menschen werden bruder," followed by "Super Session" ( Bloomfield, Kooper, Stills). Cheers, Emile

Thanks @soundbound but ... still no clue what to do Don't mind spending a $1000, but ??? It's mostly the WAF problem ... she'll never notice $1000, but certainly will see $5000 Cheers, Emile

OK @miliellie111 , just checked some of your other posts and did not find any "sales pitch." Apologize for my comment. Obviously you were trying to give some good advice. Cheers, Emile

Sorry, but this sounds like a "seller" to me You either like the sound of Klipsch, or you don't. No need to go from 26's to 280's. Suggest some older Heritage series to try.
