  1. Thanks. I'll keep an ear out for that. If you have anything you can share about the repair it would be appreciated for me to store away future reference.
  2. How did you notice the issue? Was it an audible change or something you saw?
  3. Ah, OK. Well, then you should have made an instructional post about it! 😁
  4. Did someone post instructions for the repair here in the forums? If so, I'll have to find it and bookmark it just in case.
  5. Oh, now that you say that I seem to remember reading about that. Something about the rubber surrounds coming unglued. Hopefully my pair won't have that issue. 🤞 I guess I'll find out one way or another. I'm not going to worry about it until it happens and enjoy them while I can. 🙂
  6. It's been decades since I've heard Belles, so it's hard to say. I'm sure going from horn-loaded bass bin to a ported system is going to be a big change in the bass sound. Palladiums are also somewhat different from other Klipsch. They sound like Klipsch yet in some ways not like Klipsch. The best way I can describe them is like they are the children of Klipsch and B&W parents. They have refinement/intimacy like B&Ws but with Klipsch-like dynamics. I'm not sure I'd make a swap from Belle to P-39F without auditioning the P-39F first (or at least any Palladium tower models). As you can tell, I love the sound of Palladiums but there are other Klipsch fans who don't. As far as how my office system sound, I think it sounds great. The P-37F are perfect size for that small room. Some might call the overkill for an office but I don't. 🙂 And if I'm listening in the office it means I'm doing something in the office, so it's a casual, not serious, listing system. Serious listening happens in my living room or basement.
  7. I guess. You'd think I could just be happy with what I have, right? 🤣 It's a good thing I don't have room for Jubes.
  8. The only time I have ever needed a part for a Klipsch speakers was back in 1984 when a college roommate blew a tweeter in one of my kg4. 🙂 I don't stress my speakers too hard. You won't see me posting SPL meter pics for how loud I can make it. I like my hearing. I do have the spare P-17B I can scavenge for parts if need be. So, I really don't know what the parts situation is at present.
  9. The pic on my profile page shows a front on view of the same setup.
  10. This pic is my basement front stage. The VMPS subs are between the 39s and the center. I've had them for a long time, since like '93 or '94. Unfortunately, VMPS went out of business when the founder died in 2012. These passive subs have a 12" active driver and a 15" down-firing, slot-loaded passive radiator. I don't have pics with the grills off since they are a pain in the butt to remove. The grills are made of MDF and wrap around the front and both sides. It's the one thing I really don't like about them. However, this old CanuckAudioMart listing has good grills-off pics (https://www.canuckaudiomart.com/details/648961194-vmps_speakers__original_subwoofers/).
  11. Well, I paid $6000 shipped for my P-38F last May and these are $9000. So, I'd say around $3000. 🙂 I have 21 Palladium speakers, 20 in use in systems and one P-17B in a box since it's partner is being used as a center speaker. Listed below are the three Palladium system that I have. I'm on the lookout to replace those last two KSP-S6 surrounds in the family room with P-27S. And if a miracle happens and I can find another P-27C for that system I guess I'll finally ditch the piece of furniture that can only accommodate a vertical center like a P-17B. Nerd Cave Theater (Basement): 2 x Klipsch Palladium P-39F Towers for Front Left & Right 1 x Klipsch Palladium P-27C Center 2 x Klipsch Palladium P-27S Surrounds 2 x Klipsch Palladium P-37F Towers for Rear Surround 2 x Klipsch Palladium P-17B Bookshelf for Front Heights 2 x Klipsch Palladium P-17B Bookshelf for Rear Heights 1 x Klipsch Palladium P-31W Subwoofer 2 x VMPS Original Subwoofers Family Room: 2 x Klipsch Palladium P-38F Towers for Front Left & Right 1 x Klipsch Palladium P-17B Bookshelf for Center 2 x Klipsch Palladium P-27S Surrounds 2 x Klipsch Synergy Premier KSP-6 Rear Surrounds 1 x Klipsch Palladium P-31W Subwoofer Office Music System: 2 x Klipsch Palladium P-37F Towers 1 x Klipsch SVS SB-2000 Subwoofer
  12. One downside of getting these would mean I'd probably have to sell my P-38F since I'd have no real spot for them. Then I would no longer own every model in the Palladium line. 😁
  13. Oh, I'm usually not concerned about distance. A pair of my P-37F were shipped from Scotland. 😀 However, the large Palladiums that I've had shipped to me came from dealers who are experienced in shipping such items. This guy in his original listing wasn't even sure he was capable of getting them back in their boxes.
  14. The price doesn't seem too bad considering how hard to find they are getting. Just pondering if I want to spend the money and then try to sell my P-38. I'd be concerned about shipping since the guy in his original listing said he was incapable of boxing them back up.
  15. Darn it. Why do they have to be in New Orleans?
  16. The sound is quite similar throughout the Palladium line. All the Palladium towers (and even the P-17B and P-27C) have almost identical performance in the part of the audio spectrum covered by the horns. Not surprising given the same diaphragms, close horn sizes, and similar horn assemblies. They mostly differentiate in their performance when the woofers take over below 500-550 Hz in basically exact progression with woofer radiating area and cabinet size. The difference is about what you'd except given the gap in price and woofer area/cabinet volume between them. If you hear one or two of the models you can almost predict what you might hear from the others. The P-39 obviously has the most authority and lowest distortion in lower mid-range/bass and the models just become less capable in that area as they get smaller.
  17. Yeah, that guy on Facebook with all the Palladiums seems a little crazy to me. 😉
  18. I'm looking for a pair of Synergy Series Premiere KSP-S6 surround speakers, preferably in white but I'll take either black or white. Thanks.
  19. Thanks. That's why I was following, to see if you found a solution just incase I ever needed to do it.
  20. Get the 39s. I was so glad I did a few month ago. The jump is amazing. Now I have the extra pair of 37s in my office but that's not a bad thing. 🙂
  21. I think what you are seeing in his pictures are just distortions caused by a wide angle lens. Many cell phone cameras cause this if you are too close to the subject. It would be very difficult to change the shape of one of those speakers without destroying it.
  22. Exactly. I got into Palladiums after they were discontinued. So, I had to take what I could find and embrace getting ones that don't match. Taste the Rainbow! 🙂
  23. No, it's just what Scrappy wants. He keeps bugging me to sell him mine and is always the first to point out that it doesn't match the rest of my gear. I told him he has to find me a matching Natural first. 😁
  24. Darn it, I missed this. I could have bought them to have two Merlot centers and make Scrappy really annoyed. 🤣
  25. Thanks. I chatted with him already and he sent me a bunch more pictures. Unfortunately, the more detailed pictures revealed some cosmetic flaws that don't pass the bar for me.
