DrPyro, I have the "REGA Planet 2000" and it sound fantastic! Befor this, i had a "WADIA 6" and a "SONY CDPX A7es" but my rega is really better!...The sound is more rich, more vivid, more big and more in your face (but not to much!). My speakers are the "RF3" like you, and it's just pefect...Maybe with the "Njoe Tjoeb 4000" you will have a little bit more analog sound because of the tube...But one thing is sure, the "REGA Planet 2000" is not harsh. Everybody else prefer the "Cornwall II" over the "Cornwall I" like "djk"? It seems that people prefer the "CI" and other the "C II" Hmmmm...and it's difficult in this forum to found some one who had both(expect "djk"), maybe because when you have "Cornwall I or II" you just feel happy with them! Is the presentation of the sound diferent?! (particularly in the Mids because the K-55-V is bigger) Thanks in advance every body. Best regards, Freud,

I dndphishin! You said that KEF would be OK at moderate volume, but my KLIPSCH RF3 are very OK at low volume, and i would say that they are more plesent than my last KEF ref 2.2 at moderate volume!... Of course KLIPSCH can go loud, but they can go low to, and that why they are so complet in every area. KLIPSCH did a good job! Best regards, Freud,

I KAiN64! I had the "KEF ref2.2" they are 91 db and they were the best speakers i had in my home...before i listen the KLIPSCH speakers.(I had some GENESIS VI, HALES concept 2, TRIANGLE Antal JEAN MARIE REYNAUD Offrande, KEF ref 2.2 and listen a lot more.) the sound with KLIPSCH is more rich and more vivid.(it's easy to move the speakers when they have high sensitivity!) The KEF, compare to the other low sensitivity speakers are very good. "B&W" and "PARADIGM" are very good too!...but the problem with this speakers is that they need power and MONEY! Because powerful Amp are more expensive, and even with the best amplifier, the cones, wich have low sensitivity, move more, and it's not good. And plus, they have more distortion because they move more, and plus,(sorry for my bad english)they can't be as precise as the horn because they move more, and plus, they don't move as fast as the horn(because they move more...)and PLUS, and that all, they play louder for the same Watt you put on them. I live in Europe, and they only know about low sensitivity speakers, and people don't know what they miss. High sensitivity = "REAL" High fidelity KAiN64, stay with your futur "RF7", you are right!(did you think about heritage line???......) Best regards, Freud,

Thank you all! djk, thank you for the info!...that change a lot of things, 100,21 db 1w/1m that seems more correct for the "Cornwall I". Mace is right, their frequebcy responce is given for +/-5 db but i think that ALK crossover will correct this...Correct?! Best regards, Freud,

Hello everybody, Can anybody tell me why the "Cornwall I" (98,5 db) are less sensitive than the "Cornwall II" (101 db)?! The speakers in the highs & mids of the "Cornwall I" are more sensitive than the speakers of the "Cornwall II" so why?! Is it the woofer of the "Cornwall I" wich is less sensitive?! Maybe they limit the output level??? I saw somewhere that the "Cornwall I" was rated at "99,5 db" is that possible? I bought some "K-55-V" & "K-77-M", i just need to buy the woofers (K-33-E?) with the ALK crossover and build the enclosure to make some "CORWALLS I" I am living in France and it's impossible to find some old KLIPSCH. I have the "RF 3" and it's the best speakers i ever heard, now i want to take a risk building some "Cornwall" without listning them, but i have the feeling that it will worth it! I listen a lot of things about all the KLIPSCH lines, and it's seems that the "Cornwalls" are the favourites. One thing is sure...I have found my brand and it's name is: KLIPSCH Best regards, Freud,
