  1. Here's a pair of 1974 Heresy I (Type H.M7.12). The cabinet on the left needs some work. One side of it is showing the raw veneer and is in a different shade. It's completely matte. You can feel the wood grain unlike the smooth finish of the other sides. Most probably the previous owner sanded through it. How should I restore it so all sides are in the same shade and finish? Thanks.
  2. I'm looking at the Heritage Reference Data PDF. The code for Mahogany should be MHL, MHO or MHR. How come this one is "M7"? BTW, what does the "12" behind the M7 stand for? I thought Heritage serial number of this vintage should follow the format ##letter####. Also, are all the drivers alnico? Thanks.
  3. Any idea on the original factory wood and finish as well? Thanks.
  4. Does this Heresy I in question have full alnico drivers (K77 tweeter, K55-V squawker, K22-E woofer)? Does the Type C crossover look all original including the connecting wires? Does the logo look historically accurate for "M" serial Heresy I? Thanks.
  5. My Heresy I is made of real wood, not veneer. Do you think a professional furniture restorer can repair them back to near original condition?
  6. I have a pair of Heresy I that suffered shipping damage to the cabinet corners. Can they be repaired or restored back to the original condition? Thanks.
  7. WTB: Klipsch Heresy I (1974 or earlier production) with all alnico drivers in very good or better cosmetic condition. I'm in Southern California. Thanks.
  8. Is there any dealer in Southern California that offers risk free home audition? I want to try out Heresy IIIs to see how they stack up against my Heresy Is.
  9. If I'm looking for Heresy I with all alnico drivers, the date code has to be 1975 or earlier? Is the midrange "dome" in the middle the video shield? If so, is it possible to tell whether the midrange driver is alnico or not without taking the shield off?
  10. Does this mid 70s Heresy 1 HWO look all original to you including the cabinet and internal wiring? It has the Type E crossover, K-77 tweeter, K-55V midrange and K-22EF woofer. Are all the drivers alnico? Thanks.
  11. Would you recommend F III or CW III for listening room size 13" x 12"? I'm concerned the passive radiators of F III may need more breathing room from the back wall and my room may not be deep enough. Thanks.
  12. Are the K22 woofer and K55V mid both alnico?
  13. Any info on these drivers? The woofer looks a bit odd to me without a magnet sticking out. Are they alnico? Thanks.
  14. Can't tuck them into the corners with the rear firing ports.
  15. I can borrow a dolly. How heavy is the bottom unit BTW?
  16. Is it easy to move a pair of new La Scala II solo upstairs as I live by myself? I noticed the speaker is now split into 2 separate units so it looks more manageable than moving all the weight at once like the LS I. My listening room size is approximately 13" x 12" but I don't listen to my music loud (have neighbors). Is the small room size going to be an issue? I just plan to tuck them into the corners with a equipment rack in between. Is Heresy going to work better for my case? Thanks!
