  1. Thanks for the awesome responses guys! Slightly off topic, anyone have experience with Parasound power amps and Klipsch? I’m hoping it’s a nice match. I do know tubes seem to be preferred but maybe someday I’ll get back into that world.
  2. Oh yeah, that AVR is not coming home with me. My Parasound 1200ii and Yamaha CX-1 Pre-amp would laugh at me.
  3. Hi Guys. I'm looking at a pair of nice Chorus ii's but it looks like the small center cones on the passive radiator are pushed in a bit. Is this something that can easily be fixed? I see a repair kit on Ebay from Simply Speakers but the job may be over my skill set. Also wondering how much this would impact the sound the way they are? Thanks in advance all.
  4. So you're saying he strained them and that isn't original? You'd think that should be mentioned for dummy's like me who wouldn't know that!
  5. I found a new listing on Reverb.com for Forte ii's and he also called them "Cherry" so I was curious myself. They do look very "reddish". https://reverb.com/item/21035402-klipsch-forte-ii-1989-cherry
  6. One pic with cabinet wear and no details. Does this asking price not seem insanely high? https://lawrence.craigslist.org/msg/d/lawrence-speakers-klipsch-forte-natural/6831085058.html
  7. I found a nice pair of originals (no upgrades) for $700 but would have to pay shipping. I'm thinking about it!
  8. Very jealous. Congrats! I'm on the hunt for Forte 1 or ii's and it's been a struggle as both people who posted offers pulled them. Patience is not my strong suit but I'm trying!
  9. I have yet to see any Chorus's for sale in the normal avenues so i guess i just have to learn to be patient!
  10. Yup! I've had 4.5's that I'm trying to sell to eventfully get some Forte's or Chorus's. Dangerous hobby!
  11. Ah ok makes sense. I've just started my search for Forte's and seems like only one's I've seen are $700+ no matter if they are the 1's or ii's. Certainly not a lot out there at least compared to the KG series.
  12. Curious what you mean by that? Do you not like the Forte 1's or just not the price?
  13. Contacted the guy and they sold for $700. My Forte search in the Midwest continues....
  14. Neenah/Appleton/Oshkosh WI area. All original drivers. Some nicks and discoloration on the tops but nothing horrible. As you guys know, they sound amazing Asking $250 for kind forum members.
  15. What would realistic be in your opinion? Just curious as I’m interested but really looking for a pair of ii’s. Thanks for heads up.
  16. Oh man!! What a sweet deal even if they had any damage. And i was just in Chicago area yesterday 😞
  17. Guess I thought 700 for 1s with no upgrades seemed high! My search continues I guess 😢
  18. Deleted by author. Can’t believe those sold that quickly!!
  19. So what are decent Forte i’s going for these days? Is $600 fair? Or would most of you hold out for the ii’s?
  20. Correct me if I’m wrong but this seems like a sweet deal!! https://www.facebook.com/groups/1459201541065354?view=permalink&id=2259693531016147
  21. Asking $700. These won't last long I'm sure. https://appleton.craigslist.org/ele/d/kimberly-vintage-klipsch-forte-ii/6839520838.html
  22. Can I ask what the price was? I’m looking for some Chorus’s! Thanks.
