Can't help with any of the specific questions, but if the unit is up to snuff, it should better most anything else made since then rated at 100 Watts per channel or so.  Congrats.  You should be happy with it, I'd think.

Thanks, I’m sure is more than ample power to drive my RF7s, I’ll have the unit gone over to make sure it’s all to spec and such.

  2. Hey all, juts bought a Mcintosh 6100 integrated 70 wpc, I should get it this week. I currently have RF7s series one and figured they would be great for the amp as they are very efficient. Any one have any experience matching Mac stuff to speakers? Mac speakers any good? Juts looking for anyone who has had a similar setup and any suggestions would be appreciated thanks !

  3. Here is the best record cleaning machine made, VPI cyclone which is an upgrade from the 16.5. Has forward and reverse for better cleaning and more powerful vacuum system. Also included is Osage audio number 15 enzyme cleaner and medical grade rinse water after the cleaner is used with 2 Osage audio brushes ($95) for the cleaner and brushes alone. The machine is immaculate and one year old, I really can’t justify having the top of the line machine as my collection is small. It’s 100% working and cosmetically, not used very often, look it up they sell for $1500 for the machine. I have serial number 423 USA made, please PM me with any questions, it’s set up to demo bring over a record and I’ll show you what it can do, thanks for looking ! Text me for pics 716-361-1667 thanks Tom

Sorry; no and no.  Did hear a set of XR-6's which are a bit bigger and sounded awesome ... grilles on those are on a "hinged door."

Interesting speakers ... would at least give them a "listen."  But, watch out ... no idea if you can find any replacement parts. Certainly different than RF7's which you can buy anytime, any day :D  Good luck :)

Add-on ... but you will be missing "in your face" horns :(

Very true, hmmm 🤔 gotta make a decision

sorry about the "rotted" surrounds :D

Are those yours? Are you familiar with them? I am going to get either RF7 1 or these I think, may have to replace a woofer in the RF7 if I can find one, what do you think?

Two woofers slight dent/ crease in the woofers and  dust cap.

$150 for one or $ 270 for both.  Buyer pay shipping.

The Kevlar woofers (4) are also RF 7. As for as I Know they are the only one in existence. They were created by klipsch during the redesign of the RF7II, I guess they choose to go back to the copper look

I remember them.  Don't think I ever heard them.   McIntosh speakers were known for LOTS of drivers, maybe an attempt to reduce cone motion to lower distortion, or to raise power handling.  Wonder if lobing was audible?  I remember thinking they were expensive for what they looked like.

Go listen.  You might like them.  I'm sure they don't suck, if they are working correctly.

From what I could find they sold for $995 each in the mid 80s which certainly was not cheap
